"Won't I, Virgil-kun?" He ran his fingers along his blade, grinning as he spoke. "I think we both know that we still have a vast amount of power at our disposal... It's up to you. Has this been a good fight yet, or will we use our true forms to finish it?"
Holding his sword in both hands, he charged a Cero in his mouth and launched himself at the Segunda, descending towards Virgil at an amazing speed. His sword was held ready to strike or defend, and his Cero was now fully charged.

Virgil leapt back from Kyoshins charge at him landing safely against the upper part of the crater. "All I want is a good fight. Give me that and I am satisfied. If releasing the power locked away means you will give me what I wish, then I have no qualms with doing so." He lifted his blade up and tightened his grip on it. "Now prepare yourself...Hermano Del Cerbero." With that he used his Resurrección ability, changing his appearance into that of the chimera like creature. Reiatsu: 200 + 65 + 20 = 285 Attack: 270 + 65 = 335 Speed: 200 + 65 = 265 Weapon Skill: 100 + 65 = 165
He stood within his changed form and simply waited, looking towards Kyoshin until he followed suit and released his power as well. "Release your power then, Kyoshin. Face me with all of your strength and wit. Grow strong, and then continue to grow until none can reach you." At this point, Virgil had seen enough of Kyoshin's strength to be "satisfied" with the fight, but taking it further would just be another way to push the second in command to be increase his fighting prowess.

"As you wish. Climb, Noche Espina!" At Kyoshin's command, a powerful surge of darkness enveloped the area, blocking out all light. In his new form, the Commander glided silently towards the Segunda, firing his Cero at his enemy from a few yards away. At that moment, the darkness would fade back to the light of the moon, and Kyoshin would become visible to Virgil. Release Stats, against yours. Equal signs mean there's no significant difference between the stats. Reiatsu: 175+80+5= 260 = 275 Attack: 175+80+5= 260 < 335 Speed: 155+80+5= 240 = 245 Weapon Skill: 125+80= 205 > 165

((Stats modified from a training thread, I edited my last post to show what his current stats are now under res.))
As Virgil waited patiently for the transformation to take hold of Kyoshin, he focused himself to prepare for the inevitable lack of sight he would have. Having encountered this power before, he already knew the handicaps that would be thrown at him, and look forward to facing them. As the darkness enveloped him he waited silently, listening with his ears and feeling for the reiatsu of incoming attacks. It was only when the cero was fired did he begin to feel anything aside from the darkness surrounding him. With a whip of his tail upon the ground he used his strength to push him upward into the air above the incoming Cero, managing to avoid a hit to his chest at the cost of some damage to a portion of the massive snake tail.
As the darkness faded Virgil found himself floating above the crater looking down to see Kyoshin near the center of the battlefield. With both the lion head and the goat head pointed downward, he would release his chimera's fire down upon the ground. His Resurrección greatly increasing both the size and force behind the chimera fire, it would slam into the center of the crater and spread in all directions in an attempt to consume the espada. Virgil would then head straight towards Kyoshin, attempting to land on top of him with incredible force before trying to send a volley of punches his way.

Kyoshin did nothing to avoid the oncoming flames, standing there as they rushed around him. His coat caught fire, but did not burn, and he looked up at Virgil and fired several Bala at the Espada before saying, "Umbrio Horizonte." His body seemed to absorb the light around it, swiftly covering the desert in unnatural blackness again. Scattering his Reishi inside the darkness, he wasted no time in attacking the Segunda, his claws appearing momentarily to slash at the Segunda while his Reishi compressed slowly to form long tentacles that sprouted undetectably from the darkness around Virgil and slowly snaked their way towards Virgil.
Thirteen of them in total, they neared the Segunda while Kyoshin's claws continued their unrelenting attack on the Arrancar. Suddenly, the tentacles darted towards Virgil, attempting to wrap each of themselves around all the different sections of his body. As they made contact, long thorns would shoot out of them and pierce the Segunda, all this happening in the space of a few seconds. The claws did not stop attacking, but took advantage of his distraction to do all the more damage to him.

Virgil watched as the darkness covered him again knowing how this worked. He knew that he just had to buy himself a few more moments of time before he could really bring out the pain on the other espada. A claw would appear and catch him from behind, cutting into his back slightly. "Hmm..." He waited, soon another claw attacked him. After this happened he brought his enormous tail around his body nearly covering it completely as a form of protection. Soon strange tentacles would attempt to wrap themselves around his body, but since his tail had moved in to defend the espada their only choice was to wrap around that instead. The thorns pierced through the tough skin on his gigantic tail, but kept his body from harm.
He spread his tail wider to push the thorns further away from him, wincing in pain from the attack. Soon another claw came at him and stabbed into his side, but Virgil was prepared this time. As soon as the claw made contact with his skin his right hand would grasp it and hold for not even a second, simply grabbing it and twisting it with all of his strength, attempting to break the wrist.

"Can't break what isn't there, Segunda," laughed Kyoshin, his intercepted hand turning in air and vanishing, since there was no wrist or arm to break. As he laughed a powerful Cero began charging in the darkness, and more and more vines would shoot at the already immobilized Arrancar, his tail wrapped around him and held in place by the vines that had bound and pierced it already. The eighteen new vines wrapped around Virgil as the last ones had, sprouting thorns and stabbing a foot deep into his tail, further securing him in place.
"Your lack of foresight is surprising, Virgil-kun. An Espada should keep his mind sharp," he mocked, as his Gran Rey Cero was fired at the immobilized Segunda. The numerous vines would only tighten around Virgil, shooting even more thorns into his tail to keep it in place, and keep him from moving.

The vines and thorns continued to appear and the espada remained silent for a short time as he allowed Kyoshin to say what he wanted. Once things grew silent however he made his move clear. With a strong whip at the beginning of his tail, the enormous entity moved forward and then whipped backward, its strength rippled across the vines that held it in place and literally shattered them from the snake's body, it was then that the slight advantage of reiatsu the espada had would bare down on Kyoshin, slowing his movements slightly. Even If the Kyoshin tried to conceal himself from Virgil, the segunda could feel the power of a gran ray cero.
Using his reiatsu to slow Kyoshins movements his tail moved in the direction of the gran ray as it came towards him and fired a fully charged cero of Virgils who, freed from the vines leapt upward using his strong legs to propelled him far above the gran ray, in turn however, he had to sacrifice a huge portion of his tail, which was incinerated completely in the blast. "A nice attempt, if overly cocky..." The segunda explained through gritted teeth at the pain of his removed section of tail. "However...an espada should gauge his enemies strength before attempted such attacks and grapples, lest they be done in vain." The segunda explained in a somewhat mocking tone. "The tactic itself was not bad, so then why did it fail? The reason is because outside of your little parlor tricks, I surpass you in strength...speed, power. Your abilities can only buy you time when facing me..." Virgil taunted as he waited for the next attack, hoping it would be a good one as he charged two cero's in both his hands. Floating towards what he assumed was the ground.

"A failure, Segunda?" Kyoshin echoed menacingly. His Reishi would gather around Virgil, and would seem to follow him should he start moving. Suddenly, foot-long thorns like the ones Kyoshin could create would sprout out of the Reishi cloud about six inches away from Virgil, aimed at him and instantly stabbing into him if not somehow dodged. More began to form inches away in the darkness, all gathering around him and attempting to pierce him. All together there were nearly a hundred of them pursuing the blinded Arrancar, as Kyoshin's voice asked, "I wonder..."

Virgil heard kyoshins voice echo around him as he floated downwards, though he could not see if there was a floor to fall to at this point and gravity was a rather fickle thing when it came to heuco mundo and hollow. As he floated downward he made sure to keep his reiatsu pressure on Kyoshin to slow him down as much as he could, he needed to waste enough time for his power to wear off. The first spike stabbed forward and cut into Virgil's back, but using his lightening reflex's he was able to turn with the slash attack, causing to cut across his back as opposed to cutting through it. Soon another landed into his side cutting through a section of his left arm, leaving a large gash in it. Then another stabbed into the side of his abdomen. Finally another stabbed through inbetween his right shoulder and chest before Virgil lifted both his hands and fired his enourmous fully chagred cero's out into the surrounding spikes and darkness in an attempt to destroy most of them, as many as they were a cero was still a cero, and Virgil was able to destroy them before. Even with his cero's a decent chunk would survive and would continue towards the segunda as he used his reflex's as best he could, however dodging them was impossible when he could not see them, he could still lessen the impact or prevent them from piercing his body. He manuveared he would grab the ones in his body and would remove and shatter them.

In a few moments, the darkness would start shrinking and folding in on itself, and Virgil would again be able to see. Kyoshin would reform about ten yards away from the Segunda, grinning as he saw the extent he had damaged his opponent. "Too proud," he taunted, launching himself at Virgil. As he neared the Segunda, over twenty black tentacles would sprout from his torso, and countless black spikes would begin growing from them. He started shooting Bala from his hands as he started to close in, ready to defeat the Segunda in one fell swoop. Reiatsu: 190 + 85 = 275 Attack: 190 + 85 = 275 Speed: 170 + 85 = 255 Weapon Skill: 140 + 80 = 225

(Yeah let's end this in a few more posts) "Perhaps I am..." Virgil was noticeably breathing heavy as Kyoshin charged at him, his body bloody and weak from his opponents resurrection. In a short time Kyoshin had managed to master his released form flawlessly, using it to his advantage against the segunda's own limited abilities. "But why shouldn't I be proud? I have power hollow only dream to have. I get to fight with the highest ranking espada in our entire army. I get to match my skills against those leagues above me and STILL gain something from it. If there is only one thing I am not proud of is that it still isn't enough. I need more opponents, more power. The human realm will quench that thirst for me Kyoshin...I'm going to fight the human boy the lord of the deep is so interested in. I'm going to rip him to shreds until I am satisfied!" His voice escalated as his greed for power began to shine through. As the espada got closer to him, he yelled "But for now, you'll have to do!" He charged straight for his opponent, letting the bala smash into his body, causing more wounds to open up, he seemed to revel in the pain. He would lift his left arm as the two nearly collided with one another, the goat head opening up as it did so. Suddenly a yawn would escape its mouth and Kyoshins eyes would blur slightly for just a moment. When they refocused however he would feel exhausted, like his body was literally slowing down, like all the pain he had received during the battle had fallen upon him all at once. 335-285= 50
Attack difference between Virgil and Kyoshin is 50 points.
Kyoshin's speed and reaction time is reduced by 1/4. Kyoshin's new speed: 255 - 60 (roughly)= 195 Virgil's current speed: 265
effect will last for 5 posts
In that moment of sudden exhaustion it would appear like Virgil had suddenly drastically increased in speed, dodging the tentacles and bala and moving quickly behind his opponent sending a powerful slash at his back side with his claws, before firing a quick cero into his opponents back. "You feel it don't you...the battle is taking its toll on you." He said rather seriously, "You see Kyoshin, I won't lose! This what my strength allows me to accomplish!" He yelled out again as he would dash towards his now slower opponent sending a barrage of bala's from his left hand while his right would slam into his chest and knock him towards the sand below.

As the goat head yawned Kyoshin could feel himself become almost lethargic, like his energy had just been sapped by his enemy. When Virgil moved around and behind of him, Kyoshin would spin in place as Virgil slashed him, the claws failing to pierce Kyoshin's Hierro but still bruising him. He managed to put his arms up in an x infront of himself while Virgil charged the Cero, thus when the Cero hit the brunt of the blast would be blocked, while still managing to burn Kyoshin considerably. He tried to block the Bala in the same way but many got past his simple defense, again failing to break his skin but acting as powerful punches. He had to think fast, and find some way to counter Virgil's new speed advantage...
As he was hit by Virgil's punch and sent rolling backwards, Kyoshin would force his spirit pressure upon Virgil, not to slow his enemy down but rather to activate the Reiatsu poison he had been injected with when Kyoshin had last attacked him. The dull pain in Virgil's wounds would suddenly double and triple, becoming sharp and almost incapacitating. Regaining his footing, Kyoshin would snap his fingers and grow nearly thirty black tentacles out of Virgil's own shadow, suddenly wrapping up the Segunda and spreading him out, leaving him more than vulnerable to attack. Kyoshin would dart forward, charging a Cero in his mouth as he moved to stab into Virgil's vulnerable chest with both his hands, all the while using his Reiatsu to intensify the pain in the Segunda's wounds.

Virgil hunched over from the pain but saw Kyoshin snap his fingers and realized what it meant. He planned on using the damn tentacles again, but Virgil wasn't gonna let it happen, forcing himself through the pain he fired a cero from his hand to shoot himself far off from their reach at the cost of burning his arm badly from the cero. landing on the sand within the crater he immediately pushed off of it for extra momentum and speed and hurdled himself at Kyoshin using his strength to tackle him to the ground. Virgil was in a lot of pain from the reiatsu the espada was putting on him, and as a result was a bit frantic to pay the commander back.
As they crashed to the ground he would throw a series of punches at Kyoshin's head lamming into the ground with all his might. The punches held nothing back, even causing the sand around them to shoot up into the air from the sheer force behind them. Eventually the punches would change to bala's being launch out of his burnt hands, knowing the hierro would prevent it from blowing off his opponents head. The attacks were fast and hard to keep up with mostly due to the ability Virgil had activated and he would not let up, continuing to punch, claw, and shoot at the espada at the cost of leaving himself open to attack.

Kyoshin hopelessly tried to dodge Virgil's tackle and following punches, but was achingly slow in comparison to the Segunda and was hit head on. Several punches had already landed by the time the Commander managed to unleash his Cero upon the Segunda, buying him just enough time to snap his fingers and entangle the Segunda in a mass of tentacles yet again. Virgil's fists would be momentarily restrained, letting Kyoshin make out the word, "Lacerar," before the Espada could break free.
The numerous thorns would pierce deep into the Espada, stabbing through him in several places. Kyoshin would be unable to ignore his own injuries, however, as he coughed up some blood and felt his broken nose and teeth. As his tentacles receded, Kyoshin would grin painfully and ask Virgil, "Are you... satisfied now, Segunda?"

The Segunda would not move even as the cero hit him, burning across his chest he pushed through it to continued his assault. Surprsingly to Virgil however, his attacks were stopped suddenly. He couldn't move his arms for some reason. As he blinked he realized why, he had been skewered by the commanders tendrils. He coughed up a large bit of a blood as they receded from the wounds that had entered his body, causing him to fall backwards opposite of Kyoshin.
Breathing heavily, the espada spoke. "Heh, I'm surprised you can even talk at this point..." His voice was pained and weak as he rolled over onto his side and looked over at the commander. "If we're leaving for the human world this won't do...I'll need to try and heal us." A calmer voice explained, as a soothing aura escaped into the air around them. as it came in contact with their wounds the two would slowly begin to heal. Despite this, Virgil knew his resurrection would collapse any second now as no doubt would Kyoshins soon afterwards.
He healed them enough so that the two would survive and just as he managed to get that far purple reiatsu seemed to cover his body until he returned to his normal form, a zanpakuto in his hand again. "This isn't how I wanted the fight to end. What kind of ending to a battle is this with both opponents on the ground? How does that decide anything? I wanted to open your eyes to what kind of leader Karzan was but you refuse to listen."

Kyoshin's mask, which covered all of his face besides his mouth, was cracked and broken, and some sections of it were completely broken off and missing, revealing more of his human-like face. As Virgil's technique healed them, the wounds under the mask started to heal, though the mask itself remained shattered. As Virgil's release sealed, Kyoshin did the same to his, what was left of his mask condensing into the fragments on the side of his face, while his black cloak and gauntlets evaporated, reverting to his Espada garb. He hung his sword by his belt and got to his feet, glancing down at Virgil with a dismissive look.
"Karzan is the Lord of the Deep, and you are his Espada. Your sword is sworn to him," he said simply. "He's the one who gave you it, right?"

Virgil rose up to his feet as well after the second in command spoke, push against the ground with his arms to lift himself back upward with some difficulty. Limping, he moved over to take a seat upon the remains of a large boulder, sheathing his sword at his side with his right arm. "He gave me my sword? So what? Why should that excuse him from my judgment, why should that make him absolute?" He growled lightly, wrapping his reformed tail around his waist like a belt. "We're his subjects, yes, but why should he decide our fate? Because it will better the arrancar army...or because it will better him? I've come to learn that Karzan likes to make his interests...our interests." Vigil elaborated his feelings on the lord of the deep. "He gives you opportunities to grow stronger Kyoshin, but this is the first time he has not been present for those fights. He lets himself watch your progress so you move at his pace, not yours." He argued, taking notice of the espada's previous fights up until now. "And what of our expedition to the human world for example. Is there any real goal to be had by going there? Creating chaos I suppose but to what effect? Are we declaring war on the shinigami? Are we killing humans to draw them out or to create more hollow? If that is so why is it that there is little to no plan behind this attack. There is the human boy that he is interested in but surely that can't be the entire point of our mission..." He lifted his eyes towards the second in command, they were narrowed and focused, as if the segunda was in deep thought. "Loyal you may be...but a fool you are not, commander, surely you must see that there is something amiss with our Lord of the Deep." He grinned with narrowed eyes towards his superior.

"If you doubt him so much," Kyoshin questioned, "Why are you his servant?"
His voice was not angry, but carried some emotion even so. "A sword intent on slaying its master shouldn't remain in its master's hands. It can't very well kill the guy if it spends it's time by his side, can it? If you want Karzan dead, why are you his Espada?" He demanded. "Why do you remain in Las Noches, if you want to destroy its king?"
As he spoke he looked off at the white sands of the desert, and the black sky hanging over it. He wasn't sure why he believed what he did, but he believed in the Arrancar, and he believed in Karzan. He had no other reason to exist.

Virgil thought for a moment of the questions the commander asked of him. He tilted his head back and answered. "I came here to seek greater power. It is something I am constantly seeking, constantly craving for, Kyoshin. Los Noches is the epitome of power within Hueco Mundo, and I intend to stay here as it is a home suited to my craving. I may not be loyal to the current Lord of the Deep, but I am loyal to the ideals and rituals of the Espada army and I do not wish to abandon them." His eyes stared up at the permanent night sky, the light glow of the moon catching his attention.
"I do not wish to be his sword, but leaving here would only take me away from the things I want the most and will make me an enemy to our own people. If I slay him it will be as an enemy to Karzan, not the espada. I want things to change here, not to abandon them. Until then I wait, seeking to grow strong and to strengthen our comrades so that we may survive without him, such as yourself." He explained himself, moving his head back to look at Kyoshin. Perhaps this fight between the two was more than just Virgil wanted a satisfying battle but also a means of letting Kyoshin grow as an arrancar.
"Why are you so loyal to him? You of all of us are the closest to him, the best one of changing things for the better of the arrancar. And yet you believe his rule to be absolute, it's pathetic in a way." The segunda espada posed to the commander.
