Kyoshin was trudging through the sands of Hueco Mundo, his sword unsheathed and dragging in the sands behind him. He had just got through a duel with Karzan, who had decided to finish it and ordered Kyoshin to seek out Virgil and bring him to the Throne Room, for reasons rather obvious considering their upcoming venture. Only problem was, Kyoshin hadn't the slightest clue where the Segunda was, and was now searching the sands for him. He sensed his Reiatsu amongst the myriad Hollows of this world, and knew him to be close...

Kyoshin would feel for Virgil's spiritual pressure, noticing that his presence was close. The area of desert seemed to end abruptly as he walked, coming to a large "crater" like area made of rock and sand. The crater was large enough that even when Kyoshin saw Virgil within it he was still far away from him. The Chimera was standing with his back to the second in command as few adjucha were seen running off into the distance and burying themselves in the ground, running away from the segunda who had his blade drawn, dripping some blood from its tip.
"Grow strong, oh dwellers of the sand. May you continue to grow and evolve as we have..." He said aloud to them as they left into the distance. He stood there in silence afterward, he seemed to be in deep thought.

Kyoshin was about to call out to Virgil, but stopped himself as he heard the Arrancar speak. He paused, lifting his sword and balancing it on his shoulder as he watched. Then he continued to slowly approach, knowing Virgil would sense him by now. He stopped several feet behind Virgil, saying, "Segunda, once we have finished our preparations, we are to meet Karzan in the throne room."

Virgil felt a pain upon the remaining scar on his chest, the last wound yet to heal from the training he, Kyoshin and Karzan had awhile back. He knew what it meant when the pain of the wound returned, it meant the second in command was near and sure enough he felt his spiritual pressure the moment he attempted to look for it. Carefully he raises his blade and wiped the blood off of it with a small rag from his pocket as the second in command spoke to him. "Meet in the throne room...?" he began to say, "Yes...well, I am prepared but..." He paused turning his gaze to meet the second in command. "I don't think I will go just yet." His gaze looked at him with a certain spark, a fire perhaps.
"I have some more business I wish to attend to here, perhaps I will join you when I am done." He elaborated, not explaining his actions to the hollows just a moment ago however, turning himself to completely meet the second in command. "...Do you have any objections?" Virgil wondered how much Kyoshin just saw of his actions with the other hollow. It made him wonder again just what the second command thought about power. The two of them had been at odds since he had appeared, this was perhaps the most civil conversation they had ever had...that probably was not a good sign.

Kyoshin returned Virgil's gaze curiously, tilting his head just barely to the side and squinting for a moment. He had no real idea what Virgil had been doing with the Hollows, though he had heard Virgil's words to them in part, talking about getting stronger. It appeared he had let them go, though there was blood on his sword. Had he fought them, and then allowed them to survive? Kyoshin remembered when he was an Adjuchas, and he survived Karzan's massacre. Doing so, living past that point, had given him a reason to get stronger. His hunger for revenge against Karzan was what drove him to become a Vasto Lorde, and then an Arrancar. Revenge wasn't what he wanted now, though...
"No, I do not, Segunda," he finally said, looking off in the distance and pointing his sword at the sand. "You may finish whatever business you may have here... I'll wait." His voice was apathetic and cold as he spoke to the Segunda with detachment, his eyes lowering as he began to examine the tip of his sword.

(Music)He kept his eyes on the commander with a light nod before turning around again to continue what he was doing, apparently. However, after a short pause of silence he spun himself back around leaping for a strike at the second in command with his raised sword, expecting him to block with his own blade, sparks would fly from their clash. "I wonder...if you'd be willing to help me with my business." He said as their two blades would surely put their pressure upon each other. "...Can you give me a battle worth fighting...Kyoshin?" He asked, his face look more serious and stern than usual as he moved his blade up only to swing it down again upon the second in command. Most surprising was that he referred to the arrancar by name, something he rarely ever did, even to Karzan. "Give me that...and I'll consider my business here done!" He declared. He had fought with the adjucha's, spared their lives because he knew that they could grow stronger, maybe even become vasto lorde, and come looking for him again...much like Karzan had done for Kyoshin. In that way he very much had done what he had wanted to accomplish, so then the questioned remained, why did he want to fight Kyoshin? What more was there left for him to do here?

Kyoshin looked completely unsurprised as he blocked Virgil's first blow, saying only, "Very well," coldly. He countered the second strike in a similar fashion, holding his sword so the tip was pointing downwards, while the length of it still defended him. While their swords were locked, Kyoshin jabbed at Virgil's chest with his other hand, the fingers lying flat so as to pierce like a blade. (Notice: Not like it makes much of a difference, I bought a Bangle from Fen, so my stats are all 10 higher than they look. Fen added the bonuses on my profile, he just hasn't subtracted the cash and added the stats to me, yet. Check my profile if you don't believe me, it's there. )

(Got ya.)
Virgil grinned as Kyoshin accepted his duel and their blades clashed for the second time. The second in command wasted no time raising his hand and jabbing it forward like a stabbing motion at Virgil's chest but the strike was stopped as the segunda espada grabbed a hold of it with his free hand, the two would struggle a bit as their swords were locked as well as their free hands but eventually Virgil would throw his arm forward to send Kyoshin several feet backward. He lowered his blade then, grabbing it with both hands and charging forward towards the other arrancar, he would swing several more times at his opponent, grinding the blade against the rock beneath their feet each time before going for Kyoshin.
He unwound his tail from his waist as their fight began until it was completely behind him. "This is what I want to see." The chimera stated, keeping his stern face as he went on the offensive at Kyoshin. After enough swings he would suddenly stop advancing and allow his tail to whip forward at his opponent.

Virgil was the stronger Arrancar, this Kyoshin knew. Already, he could feel his opponent's Reiatsu slowing him ever so slightly, making it even tougher to counter Virgil's swift, overpowering attacks. He couldn't take them head on with his sword, battling force with force, instead he had to focus on deflecting the energy of each strike with his Zanpakuto, diverting it from the direction it was heading with finesse, not equal strength.
While the Segunda's sword was swung with incredible power and speed, Kyoshin's swings were precise and exact. He carefully deflected each of Virgil's attacks, but didn't have much time to anticipate and react to the sudden tail whip; he tried to knock it away, but wasn't quick enough, and it managed to puncture Kyoshin's side. He gasped for a moment, then swung his sword like the hand of a clock to hit the tail away, following up by shooting a Bala from his left hand, while he held his sword defensively in his right.

The tail was knocked away temporarily thanks to quick thinking on Kyoshin's part, and even with Virgil's speed a bala at this range was difficult to maneuver from, hitting up against his left arm and causing him to back up a step or two. What Kyoshin lacked in strength he made up for in wits, a smart espada indeed, but he was gonna have it put to the test here if the Chimera had anything to say about it. After the bala had hit him he spun around with it to allow his tail to whip forward and smack into Kyoshin's side in an attempt to knock him backward. He then dug his foot into the rock beneath his feet and kicked up a huge boulder and launched it at the espada, following behind it closely. The boulder was a distraction however, as soon as it landed or was destroyed Virgil would be right behind it swinging his sword down at the second in command.

Too slow to counter the tail, Kyoshin tried to leap away from it, and was struck in midair, which moved him even further. As he landed several yards from Virgil, he charged a Cero, and when the boulder was launched after him, he shot his Cero at it, which pulverized the rock and continued to Virgil, who was right behind it. Trying to react to the Segunda's next attack, he raised his sword above his head to defend, stepping slightly to one side so the force of the blow wouldn't be on him. When Virgil's sword struck, though, he buckled under the power of the attack, his knees bending to compensate for the force and to stop him from collapsing. He shot another Bala at the Segunda's chest, hoping to alleviate some of the pressure that was on him now.

Virgil had no choice but to run himself through the cero, luckily it was not fully charged as Kyoshin had fired off quickly causing burns across his arms and chest as opposed to his entire body. The Chimera pushed himself through the attack and brought his sword down at Kyoshin's blade causing the two to clash again. The second in command began to fall back from the pressure of the attack but countered with another bala to the segunda's chest causing him to slip with his sword clash and trip a few steps towards Kyoshin. He through his left hand up as he tripped forward and aimed a bala at he arrancar's shoulder while stabbing his blade into the ground to keep him from falling.

After taking the Bala to his shoulder, Kyoshin performed a horizontal slash of his sword at Virgil while he stepped back, charged a Cero in his other hand.
"So, Segunda, is this what you had in mind?" He scowled as he shot the Cero at Virgil, then jumped at the other Arrancar with his sword slashing down at him. He landed and did another horizontal swing of his sword at the Segunda, before stepping back again, ready to defend.

Virgil carefully removed his sword from the ground and gave a diagonal swing to defend himself against Kyoshin's own sword slash before the arrancar stepped backward from the segunda's position. The chimera saw the cero charging in his opponents hand and so he did the same with his free hand.
"Does there need to be an ulterior motive to battle? I want to test my strength against yours and I intend to do it." He said with a smirk; it sounded like there might be more to it, however, it did not look like Virgil was going to explain it just yet. He fired his cero at his opponents causing the two blasts of energy to collide mid way and explode harmlessly between them. Virgil quickly brought his blade up to meet with Kyoshin's downward swing, causing the ground beneath his feet to crack under the pressure. He would block the next swing as well, using his strength to hold the blade back. "I only want to practice one of the most basic principles of our people." He would push against it and attempt a slash at the arrancar but he leapt back in a defensive position as he did so.

Right now, I'm going to use a weapon skill boost. You get these if:
Members of Group One, those who can be considered High-Level Characters gain these temporary boosts based on connection with their soul in the case of an Arrancar, or soul partner in the case of Onigami, Shinigami, and Vaizard. 100 Weapon skill = Novice 4 posts +20 all stats
So, for the next 4 posts I have 20 more on all my stats, so I have equal Reiatsu, and 40 over your weapon skill, meaning I can make you loose your balance or fumble with your sword every time you counter my sword attacks. Kyoshin scowled as he blocked Virgil's Zanpakuto, his mind deep in thought. He was thinking again of the massacre... All his fellow Adjuchas had perished, the Hollows he had know for so long slain by Karzan. Had Kyoshin felt for them, was he actually pained to see them die? Or had he just been using them for his own gain up to that point? He lazily took a slash at Virgil, expecting the Segunda to block and lock swords with him. Could Hollows have feelings? Or just instinct? Was he capable of caring, or just hunger? He had wanted revenge against Karzan, so he became a Vasto Lorde. Now he was Karzan's Second in Command. Did the Lord of the Deep care about his subjects, or were they just pawns to him? Maybe that was why he hated Virgil... Virgil acted as Kyoshin did: like a Hollow. He had no feelings, no remorse. Was this all they could be? He rolled his eyes to himself. As if there was anything else.He drew his sword back and slashed at Virgil again, this time putting all of the power and finesse he could muster into the strike, knocking Virgil off balance and nearly disarming him. He then fired a Bala at the Segunda, point blank, and shot 3 more right after it.

The chimera saw in Kyoshin's eyes something that reminded the segunda of himself, they were alike in many ways but at the same time completely different. The second in command probably saw them as the same but Virgil could see the difference's between the two, even if there were many similarities. There was more to the segunda than appeared, more to this fight than a simple test of strength. But could the second in command see that?
"Pay attention!" Virgil scolded as Kyoshin seemed to be deep in thought, not keeping his full focus on the battle. When the espada came down for a disarming slash his tail would whip around his side and head straight up, aiming to smack right into Kyoshin's chin with the force of a punch.
Virgil would use this distraction to jump away and put some distance between him and Kyoshin, dodging to the right to avoid the first few Bala's before leaping over the last into mid air. As he jumped into the air he would breath in, indicating he was gonna breath out his chimera fire and sure enough within seconds a blast of fire would hit the ground and spread towards the second in command.

Caught a bit off guard, Kyoshin took the blow to his chin, reeling back as Virgil leapt away and dodged his Bala. He payed enough attention to see Virgil inhale, and knowing what would come next, did a backflip and landed even further from Virgil's fire, and higher up on the crater wall.
Kyoshin knew Virgil was lying, he doubted this was just a fight, but really didn't know what the Segunda was getting at yet. He charged another Cero and readied his sword, not sure what Virgil would do next but knowing the other Arrancar couldn't Sonido, so his attacks would be somewhat foreseeable for this distance.

Virgil landed neatly upon the ground as the flames below him faded away. His tail brought itself behind him again and swayed back and forth as he began to walk towards Kyoshin. "You agreed to fight me without hesitation," He spoke up as he approached his opponent. "You fight me now, tactfully but aggressively...an arrancar who has been refined through battle. You've improved in a very short amount of time, commander, you can even keep up with my strikes despite the strength difference between us." His walk would go into a run now as he headed for Kyoshin, knowing the espada had a cero charged in his hand. "So then why? Why do you look at me like that? Why is there doubt in your eyes?" As he was getting closer he watched his opponent carefully, waiting for him to fire his cero before he would take action. He planned to jump over the blasts and head straight for the second in command with a downward slash that would crack the earth with the amount of strength behind it.

"You ask why I have doubt? Why I don't trust you?" Kyoshin responded, "As long I've I've been around you, you've acted as if Karzan and I don't know you. Like you're some mystery to us. Something we could never understand. Something we never could unravel. The fathomless depths of your mind will always be unknown to us."
He scowled. "You make me sick." He moved as if he was about to shoot his Cero, but instead suddenly shot a Bala from his mouth at the Segunda, expecting the other Arrancar to dodge.

Virgil leapt over the bala on instinct and would continue to move forward from the jump, putting enough force into it to send him directly towards Kyoshin. In his free hand he throw a bala at the arrancar at full speed towards his chest. "A Hahahaha!" He laughed coldly at the second in commands response, "I make you sick? I act mysterious? Hide my true self from you all? Am I just impossible to understand!?" He yelled out as he would throw another bala at full speed, again aiming for the chest. His eyes widened as he continued, "Maybe you have just lost sight of what it means to be a hollow! But I won't end up like Karzan and the others, no! I will stay true to our ways, we will continue to evolve!" He roared out as he dropped his sword in mid air, allowing his tail to wrap around it and catch it; as his right hand released it cero would appear in the hand and he would immediately fire it at Kyoshin. "I'll bring your sight back, Kyoshin!"
