Kyoshin was bored. His fight with Zakura done, he still bore some wounds, but like any being that had already died, he was still more than capable of keeping up a fight. He wasn't much for sentiment, and a graveyard brought no feelings out of the ordinary, rather, he considered the place a monument to human ignorance.
Dying, it didn't matter. Feelings, people, they were forgotten. "Forget your pointless lives, humans. You'll die, eat or be eaten by the Hollows, until you become one of the strong, or get killed and turned by the Shinigami." He scowled. He hated Shinigami. Humans were meant to die, the dead meant to be Hollows. The Hollows were meant to be strong, the weak meant to perish again. The strong were meant to rule. But the Shinigami... They tried to ruin everything. They refused to be Hollows, and killed for no reason. They let the weak stay weak, and destroyed the strong. What did they seek? What were they after? How pointless, how futile, how malign they were. He and Karzan would have to crush them, destroy every last Shinigami. Then, everything would be perfect.

"You seem distracted" Karzan would say to Kyoshin from the top of a partially destroyed memorial, "Did your fight not got well?"
Karzan had been keeping tabs on Virgil and Kyoshin, the two Arrancar he was most familiar with. One of them he trusted and befriended for no logical reason, and the other he distrusted, because his ambition was hard to gauge. He had already paid a visit to Virgil after his big fight, but in the process, had lost track of Kyoshin's fight with an unknown reiatsu.
"You and I need to train," he said after a moment, "I've just come from a meeting with Virgil...he met Clyde, the young human who's caught my interest. He was bested by this boy...but after extracting his memories of the fight, I've come to realize how powerful Virgil is. If he was any smarter, he could easily best me, and his hunger for power would lead our organization astray again, and what we have built so far would shatter, just as it did when Lord Anubis left. Virgil wants power too much, and doesn't look at the big picture, has no focus for his power...so you and I must train, to keep up with him, and put him in his place if he acts up...or if any of the Hollow act up. Our rule in Hueco Mundo must be uncontested, and the Vizard's and Shinigami must see us as a threat. That is what we need for our kind."

"As if," said Kyoshin in response to the Lord of the Deep's first question. As he listened to Karzan, he began to pace, something obviously bugging him.
"Virgil-san definitely needs to be put in his place," the Arrancar agreed, "If he can't be won over with authority, then we shall show him greater power than his own. Yet if a mere human can defeat him, perhaps the strongest of our Espada..."
In a swift motion, he drew his sword and slashed it at the sky, then he turned to Karzan with hate burning in his eyes. "Our kind have sulked in the desert for two long, and our blades have weakened. Our power must rend the skies of this realm!"
With that he bent his knees and readied his sword, waiting for Karzan to come at him.

"It has nothing to do with us being weak," Karzan said as he drew his own blade, "Clyde is simply different from most humans. He has a strange power, and a mind that not even I can fathom, though I've been inside it. Power is not all we need, we also need minds like his who can apply the power. We need hunters."
Instead of launching himself at Kyoshin as was his usual habit in a fight, Karzan through a Bala at him with his left hand, then charged and fired a Cero from the tip of his sword.

Blocking Karzan's Bala with the flat of his Zanpakuto, Kyoshin then charged at the oncoming Cero, clashing his blade against it and battling its power with his own. Once most of the blast's power had been used, he sliced through it with his sword and launched himself at Karzan, charging a Cero in his mouth as his blade would clash with his master's.
Then unexpectedly launching himself into the air with a backflip, Kyoshin would fire his Cero at Karzan before landing on his feet and waiting for a response. "Can't we turn humans?" he asked with uncertainty. "If he is of interest to you, could he not be made into a Hollow?"

Karzan caught the slash on his sword, and as Kyoshin flipped over him to fire the Cero from above, he would use Sonido, increasing the distance between the two of them and avoiding the blast.
"There's no guarantee his mind and power would survive the experience of Holllowfication," Karzan said from where he stood, "and my interest is much more than wanting him on my side...I want to fight the boy, and see how his strange power fares against mine...I also want to figure out what he's hiding in that fractured mind of his."

"After you beat him, look into his mind and find what makes him tick," Kyoshin reasoned, "Then make him a Hollow and give him back whatever he needs to be himself. Humans aren't that complex, they let their 'hearts' tell them what to do and never think for themselves. Tell his heart what to tell him, once he's one of us."
He smiled, inspired by what he found himself saying. "That's how humans should live. Tell their heads what to think, and they'll still be under the illusion of 'free will'. The Hollows should shape the Living!"
After a pause, he looked at the distance between himself and Karzan, laughing, and said, "Now, is this a fight or are we going to keep running from eachother?" He pointed his sword at Karzan, challenging him to advance as he charged another Cero in his mouth.

"I thought you'd understand better," Karzan said with a shake of his head, "Clyde is not something I want to possess, he is something I want to experience. Its not about beating him, or even whether or not I can beat him...if he continues to grow at that pace, it may be troublesome."
Karzan stood still for a moment as Kyoshin challenged him to make his move, pointing his sword at the Lord of the Deep. Karzan responded by charging and firing a Cero from the tip of his own sword, then stepped lightly to the left, and using Sonido to dash forward, slashing at Kyoshin with his sword, then jumping up to aim at spinning kick at about chest height.

Countering the Cero with his own, Kyoshin held out his hand to stop Karzan's slash, then blocked the kick with the back of his sword. He lunged in for a thrusting attack, caring little whether of not Karzan tried to cut him since his Hierro would prevent that anyway. "We leave him alive so that he continues to grow?" Kyoshin cracked a smile. On the inside, he was actually a bit irked with himself that he hadn't caught the Lord of the Deep's drift sooner, and had continued a pointless rant instead. "Do you consider him... a potential rival? Not for your throne, but someone to play hero with?"

"There are no 'heroes' only fools," Karzan said as he side stepped Kyoshin's thrust, "but even fools can be powerful...Clyde is one such fool. He perceives a need to be heroic, or rather to 'save' people, and this drives him to power. I wish to see who's drive for power is better. I want power, for power's sake, and for the point of fighting until I have found someone so far beyond my power that I could never beat them, no matter what the circumstances. He wants power to protect the 'innocent', and the weak who can't protect themselves."
As he finished the last of his sentence, Karzan fired a single Bala at Kyoshin, and jumped at him, swinging his blade in a wide arc with his right hand, and bringing his fist up with his left hand to aim a punch at Kyoshin's stomach.

Not reacting fast enough, Kyoshin was hit on the side be the Bala and was knocked back a few yards. He raised his left hand to block the sword and readied his own sword to defend from the punch. "Is it truly your wish to die by a stronger being? To be made weak in comparison?"
His sword suddenly slashed at Karzan from it's defending position, while his left fist launched a Bala at his opponent mid-punch. "Right now, I could be bested by many, as could you. Perhaps it's in that state we grow the most in strength. If you focus your entire being on defeating one stronger than you... Your power should grow exponentially. I aim to grow so powerful, all Hollows will seek to match my strength."

Using Sonido to move, Karzan avoided the slash, but was hit by the Bala in the chest, which caused him to slide backwards, as it singed his shirt and chest. "Its not about whether I live or die," Karzan said as he recovered from the attack, "I just want to test the limits of my strength, and of my drive to acquire more, against the strength and drive of others."
Karzan sped toward Kyoshin with Sonido again, charging a Cero in his left hand as he swung a diagonal slash from the right at the Commander's left arm. When that slash was completed, he would reverse the slash, coming back with it, then doing so again for a third slash. When he felt he had kept Kyoshin occupied long enough, he jumped back, and fired his Cero, aiming for his sword arm.

Kyoshin clenched his left hand into a fist, exerting every muscule in his arm to make it hold still and defend against Karzan's attacks. While Karzan's sword was occupied, the Commander took a single quick slash at his opponent, taking full advantage of his enemy's neglected defense. When Karzan fired the Cero, Kyoshin held out his sword while using his left hand to steady the blade, trying to hold his ground against it. His sleeves were burned somewhat and he was forced back several yards by the Cero, letting the blast wear itself out on his before he slashed it in two with a dismissive wave of his blade.
"Now, I'd like to point something out you may not be realizing, oh Lord of the Deep," he called, his expression somewhat smug. "You aren't compensating enough for my Hierro. I'm the only Arrancar in Las Noches who has the skill, so have you forgotten? You're leaving yourself open too often, and I've purposely been letting it slide in favor of lengthening this fight rather than winning it before I've had my fun. Notice that when I blocked your sword and fist dually, it was my arm that stopped your blade and my sword that stopped your fist. With but a flick of my blade, your hand could be gone. Just a warning, you must know by now that I hate holding back."
Darting towards Karzan with a Cero charging in his mouth, Kyoshin swung his left arm with his fingers extended as if it were a sword, clashing against Karzan's blade and locking against it. Now with Karzan's blade occupied, Kyoshin came in from the right with his sword, slashing at Karzan's side.

3 posts after this remaining Karzan smiled as Kyoshin pointed out the obvious, remaining silent. Rather than block the slashing movement of the commander's arm like he clearly expected, Karzan stepped back nimbly, displaying his superior reflexes. To Karzan's eyes, Kyoshin was moving so slow it was agonizing, so as he stepped back, Kyoshin's arm would hit air, and as his sword came forward to slash at Karzan, he would find that hitting air as well, as Karzan used Sonido to move off to Kyoshin's left at the last minute. "You're too arrogant," Karzan said as he began to charge a Cero on the point of his sword, "I know well your abilities, and I knew you were holding back. The charade ends here."Pointing his sword at Kyoshin, Karzan fired the Cero, then used his left hand to fire a barrage of Bala at his Second in Command, which would follow in behind the Cero.

Kyoshin scowled, perturbed he had already let Karzan get away. He had thought he was faster than that, thought he had caught up to Karzan by now, but the Lord of the Deep would be ever surprising, he supposed. When he saw Karzan was charging a Cero, he fired his own, so that the two would clash only a few feet infront of Karzan, the resulting explosion swallowing his Bala and undoubtedly doing a good deal of damage unless it had somehow been anticipated.
Pursuing the Lord of the Deep who had presumably relocated by then, Kyoshin dashed towards his opponent while charging another Cero in his mouth, bringing down his sword and thrusting into Karzan's chest with his hand.

The force of the colliding Cero was anticipated, and Karzan Sonido'd to the left, but was too late to dodge entirely, the wave of air caused by the blasts hitting pushing him further backwards, sending him crashing into a particularly large headstone.
Pulling himself from the rubble, Karzan side stepped Kyoshin's sword, and grabbed his hand as it headed for his chest. He would then turn, and pull the other Arrancar over his shoulder, aiming to slam him into the rubble of the headstone he had just landed in. After Kyoshin was over his shoulder, he would release his grip, and Sonido backward, grunting as he recovered from everything, pleased that his subordinate had improved so much since he had become an Arrancar.

As Karzan grabbed his hand and pulled him in an arch over himself, Kyoshin waited 'till he was over Karzan's back and about to be swung to the ground when he shot his Cero at the Lord of the Deep's front, his hand still being gripped by Karzan. Karzan's wouldn't have enough time to dodge the blast after it left Kyoshin's mouth, and if he used Sonido before the blast hit he would take Kyoshin and the Cero with him.
Just from the sheer proximity to his own Cero, Kyoshin's left arm was singed and most of it's sleeve was burned off. When Karzan let go of him, he was thrown into the broken grave below him, slamming into the rubble on his back and coughing up a bit of blood. Taking it all in stride, lifted himself back up and charged after Karzan while shooting several Bala from his left fist and charging a new Cero in his mouth. If he managed to get close to Karzan without the other using Sonido again, he would take several hacks at the Lord of the Deep using both his hand and his sword.

The Cero hit Karzan head on, burning the shirt off his chest, and singeing the edges of his jacket, as well as pushing him back a fair distance from Kyoshin. Karzan growled under his breath as Kyoshin charged him, and used Sonido to easily sidestep his subordinate, ending up 15 feet to his left, chest bleeding slightly from the burns he recieved. "Destello-Colmillo." Karzan said quietly, holding his sword up in front of him, as his reiatsu exploded around him, kicking up dust and debris, shattering a few more headstones. When the dust cleared, his reiatsu would come down to bear on Kyoshin, pushing the other Arrancar to his knees before he could react. Holding up a now clawed hand, Karzan charged and fired a Cero, returning the favor, then eased up on his reiatsu, but keeping it enough to slow down Kyoshin. "The indecisive are weak," Karzan said as the Cero traveled, "releasing your true power is only a sign that you have decided to take things seriously. Never think that it is weakness to show a human your Resurrecion. Virgil made that mistake, and he paid for it."Reiatsu: 200 + 65 + 20=285
Attack: 215 + 65 + 20=300

Pleased he'd be using his Resurreccion so soon, Kyoshin wasn't keen on letting his master get revenge for his Cero. Keeping ahold of his sword as he fell to his knees, he shouted, "Noche Espina," assuming his Hollow form to counter both Karzan's Reiastu and Cero. Reiatsu: 190 + 85 = 275 Attack: 190 + 85 = 275 Speed: 170 + 85 = 255 Weapon Skill: 140 + 80 = 225
"You've been using your Sonido to run from me, Karzan-san, now I want to see you fight with it," he called arrogantly. He knew his words were out of line, they were meant to provoke Karzan into action, preferably into doing something rash. He held one gloved hand out and pointed at Karzan, while his other hand charged a Cero in anticipation of Karzan's move.

"If running means you live," Karzan said as he charged a Cero in each hand, "then you run. Its basic instinct, and only foolish pride gets in the way of instinct."
Using Sonido, Karzan bolted toward Kyoshin, stopping half way there, and leaping forward into the air, firing one Cero down at his Second in Command, and stretching his left out to kick the other Arrancar as he fell toward the ground after firing the Cero.
