It was strange walking in here with Kaden in tow after the first time she had been in here. Nothing was different. Lights flashed with the thudding bass as bodies mashed up against each other in 'dance'. Even with all the flashing lights it seemed dark and clouded with fog, the scent of alcohol in the air.
Upon stepping in, Autumn's senses felt dulled. Any reiatsu signatures were blocked and it brought an uneasiness to her. Moving around dancing figures she made a path to the bar in the back of the club. It wasn't easy, nor comfortable, the closeness of bodies and the heat of the friction made her a bit claustrophobic. So when she found the bar she was a bit relieved.
Now was a different story. Kaden had lost all self control and managed to get himself drunk, ordering glass after glass of alcohol. Autumn sipped her sake with mild irritation as she looked over the crowd. He had promised not to get drunk here, but something obviously made him forget that. Reaching over after some time, she grabbed his newest glass and took it away from him, "I think you're done. You've been done since the second time you almost fell off that stool."
Downing the confiscated drink in a couple gulps, she looked over him again. What made humans so weak to this stuff? Was it so addicting?

Kaden was just laughing on the floor after he had fallen over the stool. He looked like a little child. He got back up off the ground as he slung one arm around Autumns. "Don't be like that! He hehehe he" His smile was bigger than ever as it covered just about the whole percentage of his face. "Your really cool Autumn, i like you... You know that? Like... For instants..." He was well beyond drunk at this point as half the time he didn't make much sense. "Take the moon... And times that by... I don't know! One hundred!!" His arm waving around, to show how big the moon was. "Thats how cool you are!"
His stomach didn't feel so great as he held onto it, he called over to the barmen, and he came over he asked for some water and the man came back with four glasses. "Why thank you kind sir..." He just about yelled over the music, as he tiped his imaginery hat. "Thank you for taking me out here Autumn, your the best, this nights the best! I haven't had this much fun in agggges!"

Autumn just ignored most of what Kaden had said, he was talking about the moon and some other nonsense. She just shook her head, "I thought you promised not to get drunk." she said in a clear voice before taking another sip of her sake. She could suppose that it was a blessing nobody had tried to mess with him yet, but still this didn't make her the happiest spirit in the place. After a while of being in the club she couldn't handle much more of the pounding beats and stomping-like dance the crowd seemed to be doing. Eventually she knocked back the rest of her drink before ordering another one. The song was different than what she had heard before, but it wasn't any nicer to her head. As she glared at the crowd, the bartender put her next cup beside her. She took it into her hands to keep from Kaden from grabbing it instead of his water, "If you get sick then I suggest you find the restroom."

He was still laughing, not being able to control himself. "Sorry, i couldn't help myself... I haven't drunk anything in a long long... long... long... long..........looooong.... Long time!" He grinned and couldn't stop, soon he downed all four waters. Unlucky for her words he had already gone to the restroom, and he was feeling a bit more sober after that. "Sorry about that... I think i already beat you to it!" He sat down beside her and asked for another water, he knew that now he should contain himself, so he was acting a bit more responsible. "So Autumn... Where abouts are you living at the moment?" He only asked because he had no home. Home to him was a park bench, or a carboard box in an alley way.

Autumn watched with narrowed eyes as Kaden quickly left for the bathroom. she closed her eyes and took a long breath. Things like this were happening to her far too often for her liking. Though, she admitted that, in a strange way, she had missed the companionship. hadn't it only been about a week since Clyde had left? A scowl crossed her face at this, she had never before felt lonely. Why now? For just a moment she missed the faceless, random anger she used to feel all the time. The itch to kill or destroy or break something had ebbed and sort of blamed these humans who had become a part of her life.
Her eyes opened once more as Kaden sat back down beside her, saying that he had beaten her to the punch.
"That is something I don't mind being beaten to." She said evenly as she forced herself to let go of the thoughts she had before his return. As he drank his next glass of water, she had turned to face him, to study him. but her gaze dropped at his question, "For a long while, I had no home, I wandered. Then when Clyde found me he let me live with him at the Manga shop. Though lately it hasn't felt right, I might leave again... It's not right without him there." She turned her head a bit to look at him once more, "Why do you ask?"

Kaden bowed his head as he looked at the glass of water that was placed infront of his eyes. The blue eyed man kept on looked at it with his face in a daze. "Promise me that you wont leave... Your the only person that i can trust right now..." He said that knowing full well that he had know where to go, and she was the only person he knew and the only person that was nice to him. She wasn't supicious at all, not like that guy from the church. He didn't even speak a name, he wanted to kill shinigami because he said that they don't belong in this world. Kaden saw things differently, he thought why should they not have the right to stay here? Shinigami, Onigami, Visards; to him it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, everyone has the one purpose to protect. Even if it is something small, or big, if it's someone or an object. To protect something is everyones resolve. "Because where i am living is in a carboard box in an alleyway two blocks down..."
He had know where to go, no place to stay. He didn't know anyone and no one knew that he was alive. His brother doesn't remember him, and all of his family are dead. The only one who mattered right now to him was Autumn. Because she is the only one who understands his pain. "I'm going for a walk... You coming?" He drunk the rest of the water and placed it on the bar. He didn't want to make a big scene in a public place, as he walked out the two doors and out into the cold. It was starting to rain, as to when Autumn would walk out he would grab her and line her up against the wall. "Autumn! Listen to me, he is coming back! I need to know if he is my brother, i am all alone in this world as much as you... Yeah there are humans around, hoopty fuckin doo!" He swung his arms up in the air, his hand catching raindrops as he then came back around to Autumn. "Even though i am human doesn't mean i can count on them, doesn't mean that i can trust them, or they understand me, or that they would even consider helping me..." His eyes were filled with sadness, anguish, the rain poured down and dripped over his face masking the sadness and dispair. "Everyone i had, dead, or has forgotten who they are. You are the only one i can trust, and you are the only one who can understand me right now... Leave me, and im good as dead. Leave now and everything Clyde worked for is wasted. You say that you should leave. But if Clyde comes back and see that your not around, im not the only one who is going to be sad that your gone...Running away never solves anything!" The last words were harsh, but he knew that she needed to hear it. He didn't know about the Clyde sittuation all to well, but he was catching on, and he new a shred about the seven year old girl. How many people does she need to run away from? Kaden was here to help her, so he can protect her, so then they can protect each other, and the people within it.
He took a few steps back before turning around. His hands behind his head, as he looked around. "You are the first friend i have ever had Autumn... Tell me... How did you feel when you first had a true friend, like Clyde..."

Autumn shook her head at first. Kaden's request told her he misunderstood, "I just meant the place I'm staying at. I don't belong anywhere but here." She tried to assure him. He said he was sleeping in a box not far from here, and Autumn wasn't sure what to answer it with. Instead, she just set her sake on the bar, wondering if there was something else to talk about.
She was relieved when Kaden asked if she wanted to go on a walk, it would be a great way to change subjects. That was what she thought until she stepped outside and Kaden pushed her against the wall almost desperately.
He tried to convince both of them that Clyde would come back, but Autumn's face was stoic. She had already pushed all the hurt far away since until now, Kaden hadn't wanted to talk about it. She intended to deal with it on her own, and then she conceded that talking when Kaden was still intoxicated might not help either of them. So without much thought she replied, "I'm sure you're right." but Kaden kept going.
She stayed, leaned against the wall he pushed her into, and listened. She wasn't sure if he was saying any of this for an answer or if he was just venting. Either way she had no real reply. She looked down as she listened, he seemed a lot angrier than he had let her believe when he was sober. But it wasn't until the end that her eyes snapped back up to his.
" 'Running away never solves anything.' You know... Clyde said the exact same thing. Then I was trying to leave, for good. I felt I only brought trouble. That I only brought danger to those around me. But because of him, I stayed. He swore to help me fight anything the city could throw at us. But in the end I just wanted to protect him. He reminded me of someone I believe to be forgotten. Someone who was in my heart before... just like you do. I just don't understand how anyone could have been close to me. As a spirit and becoming a Shinigami... I don't remember the what killed me or when. But for hundreds of years I had felt empty, and anger and sorrow filled the void. I stayed away from everyone, eventually killing a man who had done nothing to me. I fled Soul Society, and the void just kept growing. I became an Onigami, and once I had earned my rank I simply stayed near the Hollow's cages."
She lets out a sigh, "In them, somehow. I related. The anger and sorrow they felt, the destruction they caused because they didn't know what else to do..." She trailed off, not really wanting to speak of it anymore. She wanted Kaden to keep seeing her as the great person he said she was. But that wasn't the truth.
Kaden asked her about her first friend, about Clyde, and her gaze dropped a little.
"I'm not sure what having a friend is. But Clyde... He's the first to selflessly say he'd help me and protect me. We both swore to protect eachother. He made me promise not to run away. When he was here I felt like I had a true purpose. Something more important than anything else I had done. The void I felt had lessened, had been forgotten. But it opened back up when he left." her voice was quiet and controlled the whole time. The rain making her hair stick to face and become stringy.

Kaden just bowed his head as she started to talk. All this talking was just making him hurt, all this negativity just made him sad. When he looked up at Autumn as she finished her speech his eyes started to water, but only he knew that no one can tell when your crying in the rain. "Then promise me that you'll never leave.... In return i promise to be by your side. I want to get strong so i can protect the city and everyone in it, and that includes you... I will help you fight the city so then Clyde's dream wont fade into the abyss. For some reason feelings were growing, was it friendship? Kaden never knew friendship, as she was the first one he had found. He just stood there with his eyes bowed down, and when he was about to speak again he lifted his head and his eyes followed. "Let me lessen that void for you once again..."

Autumn took a small step forward, closing the distance between them just a bit. Raising her hand up a bit, a small smile formed on her lips. Placing her hand on Kaden's cheek she spoke softly, "It is being filled, but not because you asked to fill it."
Letting her hand drop, slowly taking a couple steps backward to lean against the building again. She shook her head a little, water droplets falling from strands of her hair, "You are a lot like Clyde. Taking on responsibilities that are not quite your own, simply because you feel that you must." Her smile widened a little, almost as if it were 'cute' or endearing in some way.

Kaden just stood there as he felt her hand on his cheek, his heart sped up, as he kept on looking at her. Once she back to leaning onto the building and she was talking, he spotted her smile. He walked over to her and hugged her. Holding onto her and not letting go. "Don't stop smiling...." He didn't know how to reply to what she said. Him and Clyde had the same minds? In a way what she was saying was correct, he didn't do what he does because he has to, but he thinks that it is right to do so. So he must do it in order to protect everyone. "The world feels better when there are people who want to do things because they think it's right in doing so..." He pulled away from her, as he didn't want to cling onto her for to long and make things awkward. "Promise you won't be leave me all alone... I can't stand being alone in the dark anymore..."

Autumn almost chuckled, putting a hand on his head and messing up his hair as he hugged her, "I find right and wrong a lot harder to tell apart." Slowly she let his hair go as he let go of her. A small escaped her lips, smile still there but faded just slightly.
Slowly she shook her head again, "I'll be here until I'm not needed. Even if it's long after those I've met have left. The truth is, I have nowhere else to go, I might as well keep this place in tact, right?" She chuckled again, eyes dropping down to the wet sidewalk.

Kaden shook his head, and as she spoke about when people leave she would still most likely be here, he could only reply with one more thing. "Even if i die, it would just mean that i am a soul. That means i can grow even stronger in order to protect this place, and i will still keep my promise and stay by your side. He smiled back at her with eyes of hope. "Autumn... Would it be alright if i stay with you for the time being? Since i have no where to stay..." The tempreture was going down, as the breeze came making all things wet feel frozen. Kadens teeth chatter as he looked at the winds direction. Slowly his lips were turning blue as the cold and the rain was not one of his strong suits. It was more of a weakness due to his powers.

Autumn smirked slightly, deciding not to bring up that he'd lose all of his memories once he died. He didn't need to know that. Closing her eyes against the cold, she thought, wondering if it would be alright to bring Kaden to the Manga shop. Kaden was a good guy, if not headstrong, she saw no harm in it. Slowly she opened her eyes and started taking off her coat.
Dropping it on his head to stop the rain and wind from getting to him, she turned and headed down the street at a calm pace, "Come, before you get sick. You're already drunk, you don't need a cold on top of that." She remembered how tired Clyde had been after his first time to the club, she had to help him walk the entire way home. This time it was raining, but the good news was Kaden seemed to be able to walk on his own.

Kaden smiled as the coat landed on his head, he felt wanted for the first time in a long time. This had been the happiest he has ever been since, god knows when... "I'm not drunk... Im tipsy... But not drunk.... I just get loose when i drink, and water always helps me sober up..."
There was no denying that he was tired, but drunk was something that just didn't fit into at the moment. It seemed that they were walking in the direction of the manga shop, what are they going to do there? He just guessed that she was giving a roof to hang over his head, and for that he couldn't be more greatful.
