Brago sighed his hands stuffed into his pockets a cigarette burning brightly tucked between his lips. He walked through the barren hallways that made up the majority of Las Noches. It was another day of sheer boredom in this hallowed building. He could hear a sandstorm raging outside the protective walls of this castle and shrugged. He took a drag off the cigarette and pulled it from his lips. Flicking the ashes off he exhaled a billow of smoke escaping his lips. He grimaced and flicked the cigarette onto the ground. Stepping on it he ground it into the floor and continued walking. Something wasn't right, the hall ways were always quiet but today they were eerie. He blinked and stared down the dark hallway his midnight blue eyes staring ahead fighting to pierce the darkness.

The lone Arrancar made his way swiftly through the pearly white halls of Las Noches, his silver hair flowing behind him as he walked, not the faintest trace of sound echoed as his pace quickened into a trot. The silence which hung heavy in the halls had begun to annoy him. Where were all the Arrancar? Surely there must be a single soul here. As his slender frame flew into the oncoming darkness, his eyes glowed with his silver reiatsu as they quickly darted around for signs of anyone. Kyoshin? was his first thought as he remembered the shadowy Arrancar's presence and unique skills. His head tilting back, his lips parted as he let his voice echo through the halls.
"Ello, iz zere anyone here?"
The silence was becoming rather unnerving to him, as the only sense of comfort was that in his voice which soon turned from an audible echo into a screeching wail, as Sven's fingers twirled around the trim of his blade in anticipation. Surely someone had to be here.

Brago heard a voice speak from within the darkness, it was a ways off as he heard merely an echo of the voice but it was a voice none the less. He began walking towards the direction of the voice, further into the darkness it led him the echo growing stronger as he closed the distance before it died off the eerie silence returning.
Yes
His voice also echoed through the halls the sound booming against him from all sides. He saw nothing as the darkness enveloped him he saw nothing not even the pearly walls. It was enveloping unnerving, unsettling, dangerous. He had been in shadows for most of his life but a power hung in the air a power he didnt recognize.

The voice that followed alerted Sven to the indication that there was another one inhabiting the halls. His grip tightening steadily on the hilt of his blade, the sonic waves from the other's voice soon shot off in opposite directions as it soon ceased suddenly, making way for the same unnatural silence as before. As Sven's ears gauged the exact locations of the being, his right foot came forward. Pressing up against the balls of his foot, Sven pushed forward, transferring his reishi into them as a sharp wind tunnel sound engulfed the area as Sven Sonido'd towards the source of the sound despite the darkness.
Sven was used to using his hearing over his vision, so it served as little problem that the hall was cloaked in an unnatural darkness, as the sounds coming from the area were all he needed. Even the faint footsteps of the other rang in Sven's ears allowing him to accurately pinpoint the location of the Hollow as the source rapidly drew near him.
Another burst of Sonido and Sven's posture would be leaning over what seemed to be a new Espada, a serpentine grin forming across his lips, as his silver hair hung over his looming silver eyes. Drawing his face closer, Sven whispered into the Arrancar's ear.
"Zo, ur zey nu Segundo. Zhame really, but Virgil 'ad it comin. Hint of advize, yu mite wanna be a little more quiet with yur footzteps."

"Virgil was a fool," came a deep voice from the shadows beyond Sven, "he could not understand my vision for our kind...and like the rest of those who cannot understand, he has been lost to the sands."
Karzan remained in the darkness, the faintest glint of light shining off the hilt of his sheathed sword, as he stared at the back of his eyelids. He had been following Sven around, trusting this Espada possible the most of any that had joined the ranks. Sven had maintained his position as the Cuarta, never springing up to take a spot higher than his own...he knew that the number meant nothing if he could not back it up.
Are you a fool; Brago Kiryuu?" he said opening his eyes to look at the latest Espada, "Can you understand what it is I seek?"

Brago heard his lord speak and he dropped to a knee ignoring the other espada. Looking up at the Lord of the Deep he tried to read the answer from the man with no avail. Master, perhaps not but it is my honor to listen and learn and to do thy bidding. He was sincere in his answer he had the greatest respect for the Lord as he held a power that none could match. Brago remained upon his knee as he turned his gaze upon the Cuarta espada. Why should one that has nothing to fear from another under Master's command quiet his steps within his own home?[/i] His eyes glared daggers at the Espada.

Sven's silver irises strayed behind him as they focused on the spot where the Lord's voice was centralized, though he didn't see the man, he knew him to be there. The reiatsu was unmistakable, as Sven pulled himself back from the Arrancar who now dropped down to his knee in submission to the obviously superior being. Running his fingers through his hair as he tucked the loose strands behind his ear, his gaze remained firmly locked on Zaraki's position, his eyes briefly shutting as he took in the words of the one whom he vowed to serve, his lips still stretched into a grin, though a rather relaxed one now.
"Can't zay I ever liked the guy. Too cocky for hiz own good."
Sven's gaze would then be turned towards the Segunda, as the Arrancar's obvious naivety was apparent to him, though it was to be expected. The Espada hadn't been in the higher ranks for very long, so he lacked many things. Experience was one of them. Sven simply shook his head, letting a sigh escape his lips.
"Yu vonder why I chooze to remain silent? Even amongst Espada, there remains no trust az we ztill are among Hollowz. It iz zimply a matter of survival. Lord Zaraki haz gathered the strongest to zerve him, but if he had no zuch power as he doez now, would yu ztill zerve him? Itz all a power game. We az Hollowz strive for it, following thoze who have it until we too may obtain it, then dizcarding thoze who we uzed azide." Sven let a loose chuckle escape as he continued. "Do yu not know how Ezpada are chozen? Their very rank remains in jeopardy as younger, ztronger Hollow hope to dethrone them and claim the spot for their own. Even Ezpada themzelves look to improve upon their number signifying their placement among the highest forces of Hueco Mundo. Yu don't zhink we've evolved that much from when we vere Menoz, do yu? So long az I have stealth, I could very well be after yur spot next, Segunda." The last part was added with emphasis towards the Espada who was now glaring at Sven, Sven's overall facial expression showing no concern in the slightest.

"Sven is correct," Karzan said with a smile, "it is unfortunate, but the world we Arrancar live in is still too closely linked to the lifestyle of the Hollow. It may yet change one day, but we must always be vigilant...even I am not safe from even my 'friends'."
Karzan was amused by this interaction between his "servants", and it served a good purpose. Sven understood what Karzan wanted from the Espada, it was good that Brago's first encounter with his fellows would be with Sven...hopefully this would be educational for him.

Brago bowed his head this Sven spoke truth even though it was something Brago didnt want to believe. He glared at the Espada as a challenge hung in the air. He knew this being even though of lower rank was still far stronger than he was currently. You may be stronger now but i will train till my bones are dust if i must to appease my masters will.[/i] Standing slowly he stepped back from the Cuarta espada. He was prepared for a fight at any time his anger at his own weakness fueling him to grow stronger still.

Sven's eyes met the younger Espada's. While the younger Espada's gaze was clearly filled with loathing and hatred, Sven's possessed no such malice. In fact, they seemed rather unconcerned with the Segunda's threat. Sven's features remained rather nonchalant as he brushed the silver strands of hair that fell in front of his face aside, his accented voice calmly replying to the Arrancar, "Try az yu may, it iz ztill a while before yu are at my level. I suggezt yu keep train'n. Strength is zey onli thing yu can reli on, you'd be wise to hone and better underztand it." Sven was uninterested in the younger Arrancar, but he would have no qualms about injuring the Espada should his hand be forced. If one took the time to notice, they would see Sven's fingers twirling around the ribbons of his zanpaktou, just in case.

"And never underestimate the strength of the mind," Karzan added to Sven's words, "sometimes quick thinking is the only thing between you and a victory."
Karzan smiled as he watched the two Espada play cat and mouse. He would step in if things escalated too quickly...the law required official challenges be made before him after all.
((Sorry for the short post, I've got nothin' right now.))

Brago listened to Sven his scowl deepening as he listened. As Karzan spoke Brago turned his attention towards the man he had grown to respect. It is true on both counts the mind can often overcome the body but at the same time a vast difference in strength is still hard to defeat no matter how intelligent the opponent is.[/i]

Sven head motioned slightly in agreement to Karzan's addition. " Yez, bi strength, I refer to zey bodee, mind and zey zoul. Onlee bi maztering all zhree will yu truly be immortal, a god amongzt godz. But keep yur head raized, yu arr ztill a god, az all Ezpada arr. U'd be wize to recognize zhat. Even zhould a vazt difference exizt, one may relii on other meanz to obtain victoree." Sven was speaking the truth, as Hollows followed the Espada, even though most of it was mainly an attempt to achieve a greater existence.
Sven's gaze would remain lazily on the Segunda, his eyelids partially shut, leading to the overall impression that Sven may not perhaps be in his right mind, maybe even a little detached, but most of the older Espada had already realized that was just how his personality was. It would come to no surprise as Sven grinned warmly at the young Espada, as though the tension in the air was nonexistent. The mere sight of how he was already getting to the Segunda amused Sven greatly, though he held back most of his enjoyment of the current situation. Such expression of emotion was deadly, and even fatal if among any who could be deemed adversaries. Even the most simple and primalistic hollow mind could understand that. But to actually apply it was another story, as even the Espada before him lacked the sufficient control to do so.
