More than a fake...Part II [Kai/Invite]

"Gladly," said Azerik whipping the blade out of its sheath with his right hand, "now to decided which Zanpaktou to copy..."

Azerik's choices in this matter were limited. He had not taken an opportunity to research the Zanpaktou of his fellow Shinigami, and he had only ever seen two of them actually release their Zanpaktou. The two in question were his superior, Duo Maxwell, 3rd Seat of 12th Division, and the Lieutenant of the 7th Division, Gambit Scommettere. While he had designed Genkou-Neko in order to train himself to beat Duo's Zanpaktou, it was not the kind of power he could test without causing a few problems. On the other hand, Gambit's Zanpaktou was simple, and probably the easiest to test.

"This is starting to get boring, can you hurry up and get this over with?" came a deep voice from inside Azerik's head, "If Gambit's Zanpaktou is best then go with that."

"I hope he won't always be this noisy..." thought Azerik making sure to block his thoughts from Genkou this time.

Placing his hand on the flat of the blade, and holding it up at chest height, Azerik spoke out clearly, Genkou-Neko, Kawari: Kaiun."

Azerik had come up with a unique release command sequence for Genkou. First you said its name, then uttered the command, "Kawari" which means "change", followed by the name of the Zanpaktou you wished to copy. So now, as his reiatsu poured over the sword, and it changed color, becoming white instead of purple, it began to split up, multiplying and shrinking, until there was a set of 52 reiatsu covered rectangle. The reiatsu dissipated, and the rectangles were revealed to be a deck of playing cards, although they caught the light in such a way that revealed them to be made of metal. Using both his hand as a medium, he used his mind to control the movement of the cards, positioning them all in front of him, and arranging them into a rough circle. He then moved the 4 Aces out of the circle, and arranged them so that that there was one at each of Nonko's limbs. He then pulled them back, and shot them towards the unseated member over by the door, slicing through four different parts of his Shihakushou, cna scaring the wits out of him.

Pulling the cards back, he put them all back into the deck, then released his control of the Zanpaktou, and resealed Genkou, which flashed for a second, before resuming its form as a white hilted katana.

"Well I'd say that was a success," Azerik said sheathing the sword and picking up a piece of wood and an oval disc of metal, "now, if there are any changed you want to make to Naishinnou, go ahead and make them. I still have to make the hilt guard, then bond the tang to the hilt. After that I'll wrap the hilt...speaking of which, I had the color of light blue in mind for the wrapping, what do you think?"

[Nonko Ryuuza]

"I'd like to keep this as simple as possible without ruining it so I'll leave it as."

Nonko walked over to the doorway about to leave.

"Have the Naishinnou sent to the training grounds once finished. I'll hold on to it while you give that Genkou-Neko a real test."

Nonko smiled as he left the room. He was up to something.

[Azerik Zaraki]

"Yes sir," Azerik said as he used a pair of tongs to place the oval piece of metal in the coals of the forge, "I'll deliver it myself when its done, and send someone to your office to notify you."

When Nonko had left, Azerik pulled the oval back from the forge, and picked up a carving knife, and began to carve designs into it, as well as making a blade sized hole in the center. He drew a simple dragon on one side of the oval, often used as a symbol of divinity, and on the other side, he put the Kanji characters for Naishinnou on the other side (内親王). When that was finished, he flipped the disc over, and repeated the process, switching sides this time, then dropped the disc into the barrel of ice water. Several minutes later, he retrieved the disc and went about binding all the pieces together, using iron bolts. When the sword was together, he grabbed a long thing icy blue cloth, and began to wrap the hilt.

An hour or so later, he was finished the wrapping, and grabbed a pre-made icy blue sheath from under the table, sticking the 4 foot long blade into it. This one would be harder to test when it was done.

He called over the unseated member, and once again sent him to the tech lab, then went to work on his lab report. When he was done the report, he printed it off, then placed it on one of the tables.

12th Division Research Report/Project Proposal: Pseudo-Zanpaktou Theory
Project Developer: Zaraki Azerik, 4th Seat

In order to outline the theory behind making a Pseudo-Zanpaktou, one must first confirm the base facts of the existence of a genuine Zanpaktou. It is common knowledge, that the Zanpaktou, is an extension of the wielders soul, but does in fact have its own separate consciousness, which is either a foil (that is to say, exact opposite in character) to, or complimentary of its wielder’s own consciousness or personality. Concerning the material breakdown of the genuine Zanpaktou, upon small amounts of research, and confirmation with my Zanpaktou Spirit (Sumasshuyochi), I have discovered that the Zanpaktou is made of nothing more than ordinary steel, as far as the blade is concerned, unless a released form has a special alloy as part of its constitution.

Taking all this into mind, one can begin to theorize the possibility of creating Zanpaktou. The first step would be easy enough, as the forging of a sword, while not simple, is also not extremely complicated. When the sword (what ever type it may be, Katana, or short sword) has been forged, the next step is deciding upon what you would like the primary function of the Zanpaktou to be. Once the foundation for the powers, and abilities of the Pseudo-Zanpaktou have been laid out, work on the personality, and such can be taken, unless you want a fairly blank minded Zanpaktou Spirit. Once the powers, and mind have been settled, you can begin the creation of the Zanpaktou Spirit, by utilizing Mod-Soul technology. Create a Mod-Soul, with the desired aspects, you would move onto the step of attaching the Mod-Soul to the forged sword. If the process of attaching the Soul to the sword, as opposed to turning it into a Soul-Candy, is ineffective, an adjustment to the forging of the sword is required. When forging the sword, a device that can use the powers of a Mod-Soul, placed into a Soul-Candy, could be built, and placed in the hilt of the sword. With said device installed, one would place the Soul-Candy in the device, which would be hardwired to the sword, allowing the Mod-Soul to channel its powers through the sword, creating the desired effect of a Pseudo-Zanpaktou. To create release forms and such, one would have to incorporate stages of power into the design of the Mod-Soul, as well as give the Mod-Soul a definitive name, by which it can be commanded to release, or be addressed in conversation.

Notes
-The swords forged for the creation of the Pseudo-Zanpaktou, need not be of the same design every time, but can be altered to suit the preferences of the user.

-Mod-Souls used for the creation of the Pseudo-Zanpaktou need not be humanoid in shape or mind. Again, based on the preferences of the intended user, the Mod-Soul design can be altered.

-For optimal test results, a Pseudo-Zanpaktou, with the ability to copy other Zanpaktou to a limited degree is suggested. If a PZ with a power that vague is successful, then the creation of more specific powers in PZ’s, becomes more likely.


Project Results


-After the project was approved by Captain Ryuuza, I began to design and create two prototype Pseudo-Zan’s with the help of Mataro Kai.

PPZ-001, Genkou-Neko (Copy-Cat): Unprecedented-No Zanpaktou Type Classification comes to mind.

Powers:
-Genkou-Neko's power is the ability to copy to a certain extent, the appearance and powers of other Zanpaktou.
-It looks into the inner realm of a Shinigami known to the wielder, and copies the Zanpaktou, only if the wielder has heard the Zanpaktou's name before.
-The copy itself is not limited to the wielder's knowledge of the original, but how the wielder uses the copy is.
-Genkou can choose to give more information on the Zanpaktou being copied, so that the wielder can use it better, but that entirely depends on Genkou's judgment.

Personality:
-Genkou-Neko is what one would call cynical and pessimistic. He always looks on the bad side of things. Nothing is ever truly good through and through and he always feels the need to point out someone or something’s faults. When Genkou speaks it is normally critically, even towards the most powerful of it’s users. It cares little of rank it just wants to be used by someone and does enjoy being released and copying attacks.
-Genkou is normally only nice to people who pet him and talk to him as an equal. When people try to control Genkou it annoys him and creates an almost instant dislike for whoever it is.

-Genkou's voice is rather deep and has a strange wisdom to it. When Genkou speaks no matter how rude he is everyone has the feeling he knows something you don’t.
-Like his name suggests (Copy Cat) he does tend to be obnoxious by copying someone the first time they meet each other. This could last for hours, days, years, or may never stop. It may not even occur, but when it does be ready for it may never stop.
-Genkou is coded to give his full power to only 2 people: Azerik, and the Soutaichou.

-Kai and Genkou tend to tell a lot of cheesy jokes when they go back and forth and tend to find each other hilarious.


Appearance:
- Genkou takes the form of a metallic kitty cat.
-He is about a foot and half long and weighs around sixty pounds. The reason he weighs so much is because of the metallic plates that cover him making him rather shiny and metallic.
-Genkou has light green eyes and has razor sharp claws and teeth.

Notes: The word “Genkou” substituted for the word “copy” can also be translated to mean “raw” as in raw metal ore. Coincidence though this may be, it suits Genkou-Neko because it is like a raw untreated metal that with work can be shaped into something useful.

PPZ-002 Naishinnou (Imperial Princess): Poison Type Zanpaktou

Bankai Name: Amatsu Naishinnou (Heavenly Imperial Princess)

Powers:

-When Naishinnou’s blade cuts into an opponents skin, a venom similar in composition to the one released by the Bankai of Captain Ryuuza is injected into the wound.
-The poison creates numbness in the body of the person cut.
-After several minutes, the infected person becomes completely numb, as well as paralyzed.
-In Bankai, the poison become airborne, and takes on the form of a blue mist like vapour that can be directed by the swing of Naishinnou’s blade. Naishinnou retains the ability to cause infection by cutting her opponent, quickening the effects of the venom.

Personality:
-Naishinnou is speaks in a lovely high pitched voice that sounds as though she is singing. Her words flow out perfectly and with much dignity in them.
-Naishinnou is quite often a quiet girl. When she finds someone she likes she bonds with them easily and when separated gets separated she gets rather sad. When someone new is introduced she normally dislikes them, but will speak and nine times out of ten it will be insulting and rude.

-Like a princess she looks down on those who are not worthy and quite often does not release herself unless she believes you are worthy. She has no real care if she is wielded for good or evil, but she refuses to release for someone unworthy.
-She is what one would call stuck up and takes a large interest in personal appearance and the appearance of her wielder. She has information on many topics and is able to apply it to many situations.
-Currently she will only release for 12th Division Captain Ryuuza Nonko, Zaraki Azerik, Mataro Kai, and Soutaichou Daito Fensake

-Before you have earned the right to wield her she can be a real stuck up bitch by calling you names and insulting your skill and anything she can. However after you have earned it she is a kind girl.

Appearance:

-Naishinnou stands at a height of five foot seven and weighs exactly 120 pounds. Naishinnou is a tiny girl and best guess at an age would be sixteen. Naishinnou is extremely beautiful with long raven black hair that goes down to her waist. Her hair has streaks of a light pink color. Her bangs are normally swept to the right of her face and her facial features are extremely delicate seeming. She has bright emerald green eyes that seem to grab people’s attention.

Naishinnou is a curvy woman and seems to take no notice. Naishinnou is rather busty and fits into the category of a D cup. (Kai is responsible for the above comment)

With that done, he went to look out the lab door, and saw the unseated member returning with the second completed project. Taking the sword from him, he told him to come into the room and stand 3 feet away from him.

When he had done that, he drew the new sword and whispered, "Unleash your icy glare, Naishinnou.

The sword did not change visible, but now there was a poison coating the blade, a poison to which he had developed an antidote earlier that day, since the testing of this dsgin was quite dangerous. He then rushed at the unseated member, and cut his left arm. Several seconds later he asked him if there was any numbess. When the man responded, by telling him he couldn't feel it at all. Then a few minutes later, Azerik noticed that the man was now completely paralyzed.

"Perfect," Azerik said sealing and sheathing Naishinnou, "another success."

After the 5 foot long sword was sheathed, Azerik pulled out a syringe with an orange liquid, and injected it into the unseated member, who immediately regained use of his body. Azerik then sent him to summon Nonko to the training field if he wasn't already there. Then he left the lab himself, 3 swords now belted on the left side of his waist.
