The Need for Strength (1v1 Spar) [Virgil]

Using Sonido, Karzan dodged the Cero at the last minute, then dug his clawed hand into the ground. A few seconds later, the claws would come out of the ground beneath Virgil in the form of 10 foot long spikes. Breaking off the claws and regrowing them, Karzan would then fire 5 Bala at Virgil as fast as he could, then prepare to defend himself from the counter.

Virgil managed to avoid most of the spikes that shot from the ground, but still managed to get struck with one or two, though none manage to pierce his body. The snake tail, hoping to avoid further damage extended it's length up the large boulder and pulled the chimera's body up to it's top, avoiding the attacks that would soon be sent it's way. The bala's soon barraged the bottom of the boulder, destroying it's infrastructure and caused it to collapse, kicking up a huge amount of dust, sand, and rock.

"You've grown weak, I'm taking control again..." The snake commented to the other inhabitant, preparing a new strategy against his opponent. As the sand and dust covered the area it would appear that the chimera himself went into hiding within it as well, and the actions he would take would go unseen by Karzan.

"A dust cloud won't hide you forever," Karzan said as he fired 3 Bala into aforementioned dust cloud. The blasts created gust of wind, which scattered the cloud, revealing Virgil's position.

Karzan jumped in the air, and slashed with his hands and feet while spinning in the air, causing the tips of all 20 claws to snap off and fire at Virgil as he shouted , "Illuvia!" As the projectiles traveled, Karzan used Sonido to dash forward, and slash at Virgil with his regenerated claws, aiming to do some more damage to the shoulders.

Karzan's attacks landed into the ground, revealing that the espada had seemingly disappeared. When the large slab of rock collapsed, Virgil used his immense strength to apparently bury himself within the confines of the ground before his leader had gone on the attack. When Karzan had landed to cut at his opponent and saw no one there the snake head would rise from the dirt right at his feet and begin to constrict completely around him, if it reached his shoulder it would bite into it with incredible force before breathing out the fire of the chimera upon the lord of the deep.

Karzan was taken by surprise as the snake head came out of the ground. Surprised as he was, he still managed to grab at the Snake's constricting body before it could tie him up in it's coils. Despite thi9s though, the snake head managed to bite at his shoulder, only to be fended off by the armored skin. Karzan would then swat at the flames that came from the Snake's mouth, which burned on his armored arm for a few seconds, before disappearing into the air.

Roaring loudly now, Karzan heaved Virgil away from him, by swinging him around using his grip on the snake, then letting go to send the Segunda flying. As Virgil flew through the air, Karzan would charge and fire a Cero at his approximated landing point.

As Karzan attempted to grab hold of the snake he would soon find himself entangled by it as he tried to force the segunda out from under the sand. The snake's length changed to be much longer and would move to completely entrap his opponent in constriction. The snake's body would begin to pull down on Karzan with all of it's strength to his knees and squeeze his chest while the snake's head would aim another breath of fire at the Arrancar's head.

Karzan flared his reiatsu as the snake began to move, and it instantly began to move slower. Taking the opportunity, Karzan howled, and smiled as Virgil's entire body became rigid, paralyzed by the power behind his howl.

Grabbing the snake securely now in one hand, he slammed his clawed right hand straight through the part of the head where the brain usually is, then sliced down the middle, splitting the snake in half. As he finished this, he used Sonido to dash backwards, just as the 5 second paralysis began to wear off.

The snake's body fell to the sand and sunk back underneath, and what emerged was Virgil's sealed form from the sand, breathing heavily from his injuries. He needed time to compose himself before he began to speak. "I'm afraid that is all I am willing to give, Lord of the Deep." The man stated slowly rising to his feet. "In my current state I am very little more than a nuisance to the Lord of the Deep, and there is little reason to continue this match when a clear victor has been drawn. I'm sorry to say that if we both fight at our maximums, as the Lord of the Deep is intent on doing, then I cannot do much to improve your power or my own." The espada bowed to his lord in an apologetic matter as he explained, his left arm holding his side from injuries he sustained in the fight.

The Espada turned around and waved his hand lazily at his lord. "I'll be taking a nap in my room now, if there are matters that need my attention...take your time in getting them to me." The Segunda's voice suddenly became bored and drier as he dragged his feet off from the battle field back to Los Noches. "Maybe next time things can be more balanced so it's not as taxing on me..." His lazy personality took control and took the chimera away abruptly.

Karzan scowled as Virgil left, and sealed his powers, sheathing his Cazoleta.

"He gave up far too easily," Karzan said with another scowl, and scratched at one of the places where Virgil's flames had burned his skin, "He gives himself far too little credit. He's just a bit slow that's all..."

After a while, Karzan began to head back to Los Noches, wondering what he was going to do about getting stronger now.
