Karzan had been in the World of the Living for just a little under two hours now, and had yet to see a single person, dead or alive. He needed to find someone who might know where he could go to meet with the Visard leader, Kuro Akuma, but that was proving harder than he thought.
After the first hour he had been here, he saw this school in the distance, and decided to see if there was anyone in the area, and was extremely to surprised to see the building severely damaged once he got closer. As he neared the building, he became aware of a weaker Reiatsu near by. It was enough that the person should be spiritually aware, so he decided to see if it might be one of the humans that had been present when the strange man by the name of Teisuke had attacked the downtown area.
Unable to get a good fix on the location of the Reiatsu, Karzan flared his own, hoping to attract the owner of the other Reiatsu.

Tsukiko was standing on top of the school's roof and was doing the nightly patrols with Clyde. Since she had became one of Ryo-sensei's apprentices she had to patrol for hollows at night and that meant lying to her parents. Although, She hadn't completely lied to them and she had to keep telling herself that because she felt bad for doing it. She walked along the roof in big steps causing her katana to shake at her side and watch along the horizon. It wasn't like she had told them the complete opposite of what she was doing, right; she had expressed some truth.
Tsukiko had told her parents that the person she was apprenticing with was too busy in the daytime to practice so he could only practice at night and that that was why she was leaving so late and why she would be leaving late for now on. She told them that as soon as his schedule cleared in the daytime they would start practicing then but that would be never. They would always have to patrol for hollows; it was their duty after all. She had told her parents about becoming an apprentice although they weren't very thrilled because they expected her to become something else other than a dojo master, which is what she had told them she was apprenticing to become but she hadn't introduced them to Ryo-sensei or anyone else from the Manga shop nor did she plan to. She rounded a corner on the school's roof noticing the flare of pressure and flared her own back in result although hers was nothing compared to the other person's; she could tell.

Clyde walked across the the familiar roof with Tsukiko, the very place the two met what felt like a long time ago. He looked up towards the night sky and inhaled the air; it gave a strong sense of nostalgia as he recalled their meeting briefly in his head. "You and I seem to always end up on this roof one way or the other..." At the time the human had no idea Tsukiko herself had any powers herself, but in due time the two became allies, friends even, under Hasaki Ryo's guidance. Clyde enjoyed the company, it certainly was a lot easier to deal with any hollow threats with two people and having someone to talk to but his mind at ease. Throughout their patrol the young man did not really notice how quiet Tsukiko had been however, the thoughts weighing her mind escaped his attention.
"You feel something?" He turned his attention back to the other human as he noticed her releasing her reiatsu, a common tactic to get the attention of a hollow. As Clyde slowly approached he too began to feel the pressure of the creature though somewhat less than his counter part, it was harder for him to feel others reiatsu for some reason. "I guess it was too nice to think we could have a quiet patrol for once." He commented with a sigh as he took a step in front of his ally, tightening his grip on the pole he carried. "Let's be careful and try and take any fights away from the school, I think this place has taken enough damage recently..." He warned her as he surveyed the area looking for the entity.

Karzan was surprised to get a reaction so soon. As he focused on the now flaring Reiatsu, he noticed the presence of a familiar reiatsu, but was unable to recall where he had sensed it before. As he jumped up into the air, he seemed to float there for a second, before jumping as if on the ground still, and landing on the roof of the school.
A decent distance away from Karzan, stood a teenage girl, the source of the weakly flaring reiatsu. Next to her, stood the young man Karzan had once seen during the Fight with the stranger Teisuke and his minions.
"I didn't think I'd be seeing you after that battle with the stranger," Karzan said loudly lessening the flare of his reiatsu as he walked toward the pair, "but since I am seeing you again, perhaps you could help me with something. I'm looking for...a friend of mine."

Tsukiko looked at Clyde when said something referring to that time when they had met up here and that had been because everyone else had been too afraid to go up to the roof to talk to him. They had been so afraid that he was going to jump or the consequences that would come if he had been crazy and so they sent the Class President up to the roof to deal with him. She smiled remembering the conversation that they had had when she had approached him and looked out over the view that the school roof provided. "Yeah. You have to admit that the view is even more beautiful in the dark. The stars add to it." She stared at the view for a few more seconds until her attention was brought back to the reiatsu flare.
"Yes. But it feels stronger than a hollow...." Tsukiko said trailing off as she waited for whatever it was to show itself. She unsheathed her katana leaving the sheath safely attacked to her waist and held it out in front of her defensively. She wasn't going to let her guard down even for a second the determination shining in her eyes was proof enough but it was gone for a second as she sighed at Clyde's comment even though she thought the same and wished the same could have happened. She merely nodded to what Clyde said next agreeing wholeheartedly and thought that the school grounds would probably be better than the building; the ground could be fixed easier. She nearly jumped when she saw Karzan appear ontop of the roof with them and moved to where she was facing him with her katana still being held in front of her. She could still feel the intense spiritual pressure of the being despite him lessening it and found it hard to move in his presence. 'What is he? Couldn't possibly be anything but trouble with that amount of pressure.'
"Leave here. Now!" Tsukiko yelled at Karzan as she ran at him with her katana raised.

Clyde narrowed his eyes as Karzan landed on the roof, his power and presence now being much easier to feel with him so much closer. The man was humanoid in appearance but the hole in his chest definitely invoked the imagery of a hollow and his power felt far from human. His voice reached the human's ears as he referenced the battle with Teisuke. It took the human to remember seeing him at the battle but after a moment to think about it he recalled this hollow, who in particular released a huge amount of his power and of the original people in the fight, he was the only one who could barely keep up with Teisuke. This man was certainly no weakling.
Clyde looked over at Tsukiko who he noticed was struggling just being near the man due to his reiatsu. The human moved his arm out in front of her to stop her advance before she could move. "I remember you...during the fight against Teisuke. You're a hollow, aren't you? I'd recognize that feeling anywhere." The boy began to say, "It doesn't matter how human you look that hole explains it all, you are a Hollow, and I'm afraid regardless of past battles I owe you nothing and will help you find no one. You're an enemy, simple as that." The human brought his pole forward and allowed his reiatsu to enter it, manipulating it into the shape of a spear. "Now listen to my friend and leave, hollow." A light wind bellowed out on the roof as the three stood in their respective places, their hair lightly moving as the soundless breeze interrupted their talk.
The human turned his head slightly towards Tsukiko and looked at her, though he still kept most of his attention on the hollow. "Listen, Tsukiko...this one is dangerous...I..." Giving a light sigh he would say, "...think it would be better if you sit this one out." He suggested with slight hesitation in his voice, he was not trying to put down her fighting skills or will though it may certainly come off this way. "He's a lot stronger than the other hollows you have faced, I don't want to risk you getting hurt, especially this late into the patrol."

Karzan's eyes narrowed as the girl spoke to him, but he ignored her as soon as Clyde began to speak. As the boy took out his weapon, Karzan saw that he was indeed unwelcome. Not that it mattered, he knew that the boy knew at least a little of what he needed to know, and he would get that knowledge.
"I am indeed a Hollow of sorts," Karzan said eying the spear held by Clyde, "I am Karzan Zaraki, Lord of the Deep, master over the Arrancar who dwell in Hueco Mundo, so long as the true Lord remains absent. Now, I'd really like to get some information from you."
Using Sonido, Karzan got right close to Clyde before he could react, and fired two point blank Bala, which would probably send Clyde back a fair distance. Karzan would then turn to the other human, and place the index finger of his right hand on her forehead, and she would suddenly freeze up, as he entered her mind.
"It would seem she doesn't know where he is," Karzan said absentmindedly as he released Tsukiko, and turned to face Clyde, "but you're closer with Ryo then she is, am I right? As such, you would probably know where one of Ryo's rivals would hang out, right? We don't have to make this ugly boy."

Tsukiko stopped when Clyde held his arm out in front of her and she listened as he talked to Karzan. He told the being to take her advice and leave. He called him a hollow and after looking closely she noticed the hole that was in his chest. She noticed that Clyde had changed his pole into it's spear form, which meant he'd fight if he had to and she frowned when he told her that this hollow was dangerous and told her he thought she should sit this one out. She heard the hesitation in his voice but stayed quiet until he was finished telling her that this one was stronger than the usual hollows she faced and that he didn't want her getting hurt especially this late in patrol. "But I can't just let you fight by yourself. What if you get hurt? It'd be my..."
Tsukiko trailed off when the hollow began to speak to them and introduce himself as Karzan Zaraki the Lord of the Deep, whatever that was. He had said he was an Arrancar and that he'd really like to get some information from them. She stared in disbelief when the Arrancar got closer to Clyde like nothing and fired something at him sending him flying. "Clyde-kun!...." She yelled before the Arrancar put his finger to her forehead and she froze up instantly scared of what he would do. When he was done searching her mind, she fell to her knees and grabbed at her head as tears filled her eyes but didn't spill over; she hadn't been this scared since ever.

"Gyaugh!" The human grunted out something inaudible as the bala's blasted him in the chest, he was unable to react thanks to Karzan's sonido. "That...Damn technique again!" The boy thought to himself referring to the sonido in his pain as he was sent off the roof down towards the the ground below. The bala's had created to large gashes on the human's chest, Clyde did manage to maneuver enough so that the wounds were far from fatal, though. It did take him a moment to regain himself, however, and when he finally did he stabbed the spear into the wall of the building to stop his decent. Quickly, he would release a crescent slash into the wall to propel him back up towards the top of the roof.
He landed on there safety but had to hold the spot he was hit as he made it up there, hunched over a bit from the pain. The direction he got blasted from had sent him to the opposite side of the roof when he finally climbed back upward, putting a slight bit of distance between the two. Breathing heavily, the human lifted his spear once more. "We have no rivals. We have enemies like yourself, and I'm not gonna stand here and let you get what you want..." His spear began glowing with his reiatsu as his right arm began putting more of its power into it. "I made a promise from the very beginning, I'm not gonna stand here and let this hollow harm any humans, especially Tsukiko! I'll get you out of here, don't worry." The human thought as he looked over at his ally, who was clearly being effected negatively from this "Karzans" power. He needed to get her to safety and fast.
In a threatening tone the boy ordered, "Now get away from her!" Suddenly the spear would shoot forward, growing incredibly long. As it stretched outward it would twist and turn, showing that it's form was made of his reiatsu. The weapon would continue until it reached Karzan, aiming to stab into his chest and push him away from Tsukiko. After the spear would push into him he would fire off a blast of his reiatsu from it to hopefully send the hollow back even farther. He would then use the extra time to get try and get to Tsukiko and pull her back up to her feet.

With the distance between Clyde and Karzan, it was easy for the latter to side step the extending spear, and by extension the blast that came out of it. Karzan looked at Clyde as he ran to Tsukiko, and sighed, putting his right hand on the hilt of the Cazoleta sheathed at his left side.
"I'll only tell you one more time boy, this doesn't have to get ugly!" Karzan would say, nearly shouting at the Clyde. He would rush toward him with Sonido, and aim a slash at the arms in which the boy was holding his weapon, disregarding the existence of the girl for now.

Tsukiko couldn't remember the last time that she had been so terrified for her life and if she ever was then it had to be before she had learned karate and swordsmanship. She didn't have any use to be scared after she had learned those things but once she had been introduced to a being stronger than humans her heart wouldn't stop beating so fast. She looked up when she heard Clyde tell Karzan to get away from her and she was relieved to see that he was okay after being hit by the Arrancar's attack. She noticed that his attack had missed Karzan but that obviously didn't stop him as he made his way over to help her up and she was able to stand up with his help bringing her katana with her despite her legs staking because she was still scared. The Arrancar used the same ability that he had used before to get closer to them and aimed a slash at Clyde's arm, which he held his spear with even though her legs were still shaking she pushed Clyde away.
"Don't hurt him!" Tsukiko yelled at the Arrancar as she brought her katana up to clash with Karzan's blade.

"I'm getting you out of here." The boy said to her as he would begin retreating back towards the other side of the roof with her. He did not have enough time to reach his destination as Karzan appeared before the two again, this time with sword drawn and aiming for the boys arm. Where the two were currently standing it would have been impossible for the boy to move in time, his arm was right in line with the hollows blade and it would surely severe the arm completely if he did not do something, but it was all happening rather fast and the injury to his body was distracting his focus somewhat.
Clyde remembered words that Ryo had told him in these seconds. Words about encounters with such people. That when it came down to is there were those even Ryo himself could not fight on his own. That there would be opponents Clyde could not fight. This never stopped the human before...but that was because he was never truly protecting someone. All of his fights involved protecting only himself, but now that he was helping someone else his attention was diverted, and it was much harder to act while making sure his friend could survive. Trying to help Tsukiko left him wide open. These were the kind of fights Ryo had warned him about, he could not protect both of them at the same time.
"Move, Move! I got to protect her damn it, I can't do that with one arm!" The human's hesitation would have lost his arm if at that last moment Tsukiko did not push him away despite her fear. The shove came out of no where and was enough to send the boy out of the way of the attack, which his friend attempted to fend off with her own blade. "Tsukiko!" He yelled out rolling back to his feet. He would quickly leap forward changing his weapon to more of a sword shape, he aimed to swing it down at Karzan to support his friend. This was the only move he had time for, regardless of what he did Tsukiko and Karzan's swords would clash.

Karzan was taken aback by the girl's sudden movement, and reflexively lessened the strength behind his blow, allowing his blade to slam into hers, and bounce off. He glared at her for a minute, before turning his attention to the charging Clyde. Catching the boy's newly formed sword with his own blade, Karzan shoved it away with all his strength, and began to charge a Cero in his left hand.
Stepping back slightly, he would turn slightly, and point his left palm directly at Tsukiko, clearly threatening Clyde with the girl's demise should he make a move. As a warning, he fired the Cero, directly next to the girl, enough so that the very edge of the blast would singe her left arm.
"Now how about we talk about this," Karzan said as he tried to keep his tone even, "I just want to know where I can find the Visards. I have business with them."

Tsukiko was relieved that Clyde was okay and was glad that she had been able to do something against this powerful foe. She noticed that the Arrancar had been taken aback by her movement and since she hadn't clashed with him until now didn't realized that he hadn't used his full strength behind his blade but her blade rebounded sending sliding back a bit. She saw Clyde had charged at Karzan after getting back up and was shoved away by the Arrancar's sword. She noticed that the Arrancar began to charge something in his left hand and waited for him to try to attack Clyde but she froze when he pointed his left palm right at her. She called out in pain when the charged attack singed her left arm and she grabbed at her now injured left arm with her right hand; a couple of tears would stain her cheeks.
"Don't worry about me, Clyde-kun." Tsukiko said to Clyde probably about the only thing she could get out of her mouth and she didn't want him to help their enemy just because she was in such a situation despite her legs starting to shake in fear again.

Clyde looked between the two as Karzan held his palm out preparing to fire his Cero at Tsukiko. As a warning, the arrancar fired the cero close to her and burned her arm. The hollow then gave his demand, to know the location of the Vizard. If Clyde gave him the information then he would release Tsukiko, at least that was what would probably be assumed. Clyde knew better then to trust a hollow, but at the same time he did not want to risk injuring or worse, killing his friend for the sake avoiding giving any enemy information. Once the cero had been fired the boy dropped his weapon, reverting it back to its pole form. "I don't know what a Hollow wants with the Vizard...but I can't allow Tsukiko to get hurt over it. Augh~!" He lowered himself to one knee as if the pain from his wound brought him down, he balanced himself by placing his right hand to rooftop. However this was an attempt at getting Tsukiko away from the Arrancar. The moment his hand touched the rooftop his power entered it and right below Karzans feet a blast of energy would shoot up from the ground while at the same time the floor would rise up around Tsukiko, turning it into a small barrier of the boys reiatsu to protect her from the explosion. The reiatsu around the boy was gathering, growing stronger than before, he was entering a higher state of power it would seem. "You'll find no such information from me, however. ...And like I said, I won't allow her to be hurt!" His voice sounded stronger than before as his power hit a peak, his hand closed around the piece of the roof it touched and pulled out from it another spear. He would then charge at Karzan full speed sending a crescent slash his way, if the attack hit then Clyde would continue onward and with a series of attacks from his spear, if not the boy would follow Karzan to where he would avoid the attack to or where he Sonido'd and would slash down upon him with his weapon with another crescent slash; his skill with his weapon would be stronger than Karzan would probably anticipate from a human, even after firing the crescent Slash it seemed to move somewhat to the boys will, changing it's shape and arc to make it harder to deflect. "Tsukiko, you have to run! Get out of here!" This was his only chance to fight back and hopefully give Tsukiko enough time to get out of the battle. Reiatsu 165 + 20 = 185 Attack 160 + 20 = 180 Speed: 160 + 20 = 180 Weapon Skill: 160 + 20 = 180

As the blast of energy came up from below his feet, Karzan would jump to the side, and be propelled by the blast. He hit the ground rolling, and stopped with one hand on the ground for support. Cursing his underestimation of the boy's power, Karzan fired 2 Bala at the crescent blast of energy to weaken it, then slashed forward at it as it came close, scattering the weakened attack's energy. As the blast scattered, Karzan would try to dodge a flurry of blows from the boy's sphere, using his superior reflexes to his advantage. He failed however to dodge all of them, as the boy seemed to gain a sudden boost in speed. 4 of the blows stabbed him in various nonfatal places on his torso and arms. With a mighty roar, Karzan slashed out at Clyde, charging a Cero in his left hand, then fired it down onto the roof of the school building, causing it to collapse beneath them. As they fell into the classroom beneath them, the dust would begin to settle, and the other two would hear Karzan's voice echo loudly against what was left of the walls. "Destello-Colmillo!"Karzan's reiatsu would explode outward as black armored Hollow skin covered his arms, legs, and the parts of his torso directly between the limbs, leaving his lower chest, and part of his stomach exposed, as well as most of his back. A collar of white Hollow skin would appear around his neck, protecting his upper spine and his throat from harm. His hands and feet were now clawed, and his already fang like canines were now sharply pronounced. "I warned you boy," Karzan said with a growl as the dust settled completely, "You brought this upon yourself."Reiatsu: 180 + 65 + 10 = 255
Attack: 205 + 65 + 15 = 285

Tsukiko closed her blue eyes and waited for the Arrancar to fire the cero that would end her life because she knew Clyde wouldn't give the information up plus she had told him not to worry about her. Her ears, however, picked up the sound of what seemed to be Clyde's pole connecting with the roof then she heard him speak to the hollow and she opened her eyes to see what was going on. She saw Clyde fall to one knee upon the roof after yelling in pain but she couldn't help but think that there was something up his sleeve, which she soon discovered was right when he fired a blast of energy at the Arrancar while pulling up a shield around her to protect her from the explosion. She heard Clyde speak to the hollow again and attack him with his full strength before yelling at her to run and get out of there. She nodded agreeing with him that she was just no match for the Arrancar seeing as she had been lucky to survive what she had of it and was about to run off in search of the stairs when the roof collapsed beneath her because of the hollow's attack on the roof screaming as she fell into the classroom below the roof.
Tsukiko coughed from the debris and dust and looked around when she heard Karzan's voice echo loudly. It took her a minute to see him through the dust and when she did she started to shake in horror again. She couldn't tell what form was worse but this one obviously sent chills down her spine and she felt like she couldn't move an inch. She used her eyes to search the room for any sign of Clyde and discovered that she knew the room very well because it was her own classroom. She tried to will herself to stand but couldn't find the strength to keep herself on her feet and collapsed almost immediately after standing due to fear and possibly the injury to her leg that had occurred during the fall.
"C-Come on move..." Tsukiko said quietly to herself as she tried to encourage herself.

Clyde was able to deflect the slash made at him with his weapon, though the strength behind it sent him back a few feet as the two descended into the collapsed roof. The human had landed behind a large chunk of debris, blocking his view of Tsukiko and most likely her view of him. He began moving a few pieces out of his way as another powerful wave of energy poured into the room as Karzan released a gigantic burst of power. The sheer force of it was pushing the human back up against the pile of debris behind him, finally the smoke would clear and reveal a much more battle ready Karzan.
The appearance looked and even felt more hollow like than his original, and when Clyde made eye contact with the arrancar he felt a sense of nostalgia, as if he had encountered Arrancar before. "Resurrección..." the boy pronounced perfectly, despite never hearing the word before as far as he knew. His voice seemed aloof and blank, yet no fear at all. Staring at his opponent, he felt an ache towards his thoughts of Tsukiko, it was worry for her condition he felt. He knew he had to get her out of here, now more than ever. Instead of engaging his opponent he would release his weapon and throw his right hand into the debris, using his power to clear it as fast as he could, he was trying his best to find Tsukiko. "Tsukiko, are you alright? Answer me!" He would call out as he made a path towards the back of the room.
The boy was not stupid though as to leave himself unguarded, using his power some of the debris would not be cleared but instead shimmered with his own power; they would explode with a release of the humans energy, secretly waiting for Karzan to engage the human before going off.

"That won't do much to me now boy," Karzan extending his claws outward, and slicing the exploding debris to pieces, which scattered to explode elsewhere.
Karzan began to walk towards the location he could feel Clyde's reiatsu coming from, but stopped, as he heard the boy call out to the girl. Looking about him, Karzan spotted her quickly, and an evil smile would spread across his face.
Faster than either of them would probably see, Karzan used Sonido, to dash toward Tsukiko, and stand slightly behind her, the extended claws of his left hand placed against the back of her neck as she sat on the ground, plainly in view when Clyde would find her.
"Your friend is being very uncooperative young lady," Karzan would bend down to whisper in her ear, "how do you think he'd react if I killed you? You think he might be angry enough to slip up in his fighting?"

Tsukiko looked in the direction she thought she heard Clyde in when she heard him yell for her asking if she was alright and to answer her. Yeah she was alright, if alright meant that the fall may have fractured or broken her leg. She still couldn't see Clyde but if she could hear him and the objects he was moving she figured he was somewhere close and she'd just sit there until he could help her not that she could move anyway. "Clyde-kun I'm over he..." She began to say back in reply before trailing off as soon as she could feel the presence of the Arrancar behind her and she froze despite already being frozen in fear a few minutes ago. She felt him put something up against the back of her neck, which made her heart start racing and chills rolled down her spine as he whispered in her ear. He told her that Clyde was being uncooperative and asked how she thought he would react if he were to kill here, which is when tears began to stream down her face silently though. She didn't dare move at all not even to move her lips she was so scared right now she didn't know what to do and didn't think she'd ever be able to face a fight again after this.
