(This will take place a day or two after the training thread with genno)
Clyde within an open field among many bodies...hollows had felt his growing power and had swarmed him from around the city. But the creatures underestimated just how much in power the human had grown, they were defeated one after another. Ever since his encounter with Genno, his power had been reacting more violently than ever before, it was now much harder for him to contain it and hide from the hollow threat. Now just being out in the open risked one of these creatures to appear. At the moment however, the boy was okay with this. He could train his body for when the real threats show up by training himself now. With the last of the hollows defeated, he took a seat on the grassy floor as their bodies began to disappear within the air.

Jake had been watching from a distance, having been following Clyde since the incident with Gennosuke, worried that his friend might do something drastic because of all the stress.
"I'm surprised the Hollows aren't avoiding you with the damage you keep doing to them..." Jake muttered as he walked up to Clyde, "...perhaps you should think about trying to reign in all that energy?"

Clyde's head raised to see Jake approaching him, he let out a small sigh as his friend approached and made his comment about the hollow. "They'll never learn, it's like their compelled to try and gather around my power." He looked back down as the last of them turned to dust, "...better me than the more helpless in this city." He stood up and took a few steps towards his ally, not asking any questions for why he was there. He knew Jake was one to appear from time to time without warning.
The energy in his arm continued to exert a large charge of reiatsu, even after the battle had finished. "Up until recently I thought I had fairly good control of it. Now even if whats around me is a small threat I begin to lose control of, maybe my power is developing faster than I can keep up." He theorized as he grabbed the arm with his left hand, calming its power down slightly. "I'll need to train my body more to contain the energy, or better yet find a way to have complete control over it. I don't suppose you have any ideas...?"

"All my ideas involve fighting," Jake said with a wry smile, "and I'm no doctor, but if I had to take a crack at a diagnosis as to whats going on, I'd say maybe your power is reacting to you...you've been under a lot of stress lately, and not knowing about your own past adds to that. So perhaps your frustration at your lack of power, and your need to restore your memory are causing your power to either react violently, or exhibit properties it may have had before your memory loss...or something..."

Clyde could not help but get a bit a of a small grin when his ally tried to diagnose his power. "Haha...maybe you're right. Maybe my own stress is having negative effects on how I well I can control my power. I guess there's no denying that I've...not been in the best shape mentally, recently." He sighed somewhat as he took a few steps towards a near by tree, feeling its surface with his right hand. "Battling is one of the few times I seem to have complete dominance over my power." He paused for a moment, thinking about recent events, before speaking. "...I fought with that shinigami, Genno, after I saw you last. I had more control then than I think I've ever had." he admitted to his friend.

"Well don't hang on my diagnosis," Jake said scratching the back of his head, "like I said, I'm no doctor...try asking Ryo the next time you see him, maybe he'll know?"
Pausing there for a moment, Jake took his wooden sword off from his back, and fiddled with it before looking at Clyde.
"Mind you," Jake said with a smile, "so far Ryo's solution to everything has been more training."

Clyde removed himself from the tree and completely faced Jake, who had removed his wooden blade. The human let out a light laugh in agreement with his words..."That's very true...so why wait, then?" He said lifting up the arm, the energy still flowing out of it some what wildly. "Let's train now while we still have the chance." His voice moved in a way that he was ready to keep training, even if he was not in the best of conditions for it.
He clenched his right hand and forced the energy from the arm into his finger tips, though much of it was seeping out in all directions. "This could be dangerous, Jake." He warned him, knowing the warning would most likely fall on deft ears, "I can't guarantee how my power will react to you." The young man waited for Jake to move in and "accept" the spar, before taking any action. He was unsure how well he would be able to control his power and his mind was giving him the feeling of concern for his friends well being.

"I'm a risk taker," Jake said with a shrug as an orange glow enveloped his wooden sword, "I've survived this long, I'm sure I can make it out of this alive."
As the glow dissipated, Jake's sword would be revealed in its true form, as a Chinese broadsword with 9 metal rings attached to the back of the blade, which he twirled around, before settling into a low stance with his sword held diagonally above him so that it angled across his chest.

"Alright then..." Clyde gave a nod, he figured Jake would go through with fighting with him anyway. Perhaps it could help, maybe it would make things worse. The human boy needed to get stronger regardless, so he would risk control in order to continue fighting. He would start things off slow, leaping into the air swinging down at Jake with his right arm, giving him plenty of time to dodge the attack. As he landed on the ground he would move his feet and throw a few kicks at his friend. As he attacked the reiatsu that flew out of his arm would burn up the ground beneath him some what. Because of how far his reiatsu was spreading itself, however, Jake would not be slowed by its presence as it was not focused on him.

Jake dodged the first strike with some difficulty, and managed to fend off one of the kicks, but got hit by two of them, and was knocked back.
Twisting in mid air, Jake halted his fall with his sword, and pushed himself to his feet, in turn swinging his sword round to slash at Clyde in a turning motion that brought them face to face once more.
"All the work I've put in and I still can't catch up to you," Jake said with a laugh as he made his move, "I need to find some new training partners.

"I'm starting to wonder if its worth it..." He commented about their strength difference, "There seems to be more burdens than solutions. He send leaning his body back to avoid the sword slash towards his chest, before jumping back out of its range. As he landed from his jump his put his right hand to the ground and pulled up a piece of dirt and infused it with his power, throwing it forward to create small explosions of reiatsu around Jake as the pieces of dirt would release the energy forced into them.
The power in them was relatively harmless, however. But this was not intentional on the humans part; Clyde was actually having difficulty preforming the task of infusing his reiatsu, causing the effect to weaken. "But really my only option is to just keep climbing until I'm past these burdens." He ignored the problem for now and ran forward again jumping up in the air to bring his leg down at Jake's blade, attempting to knock it out of his hand.

"I don't think so!" Jake shouted as Clyde came down with the kick. Ignoring the weak blasts of reiatsu, guessing them to be ploys, Jake had began to form one of his attacks just as Clyde was beginning to jump. His sword glowed a fierce orange, and he slashed three time in the air, sending 3 claw shaped blasts of reiatsu at Clyde as he came down. As the blasts slowed Clyde down, Jake would roll backwards, sword still glowing, and when he stopped, he would stab wildly at the air about 10 times, creating spikes of reiatsu in the air.
"Fangs of the Pride!" Jake would shout as he slashed at the air behind the spikes of reiatsu, causing them all to blast toward Clyde.
"No more talking," Jake said standing up as the spikes moved, "life is too short to spend too much time with idle talk and thought. Make the best of it, and fight until there's nothing left for you to fight for. Even if its just your own life you cling to, keep fighting."

Clyde had to move his body carefully to avoid the three claw shaped slashes, causing him to land rather awkwardly on the ground and fell to his knee's. He quickly rose back to his feet but was surprised when he saw ten spikes of Jake's reiatsu heading straight for him. Clyde brought his right arm down and scooped up another patch of dirt which within the blink of an eye was transmuted into a shield of energy infront of the young man. As the blasts collied with it the shield, however, it would immiedately shatter and sent the human backward against the nearby tree with a shockwave of his own power; the energy had been unstable.
Bringing himself to stand once again, he brushed off some of the dirt on him before reaching up and snapping a branch off the tree. Once again he would use his power and create the spear that he was commonly seen using. He ran forward a few feet before stopping suddenly and stabbing the spear forward, on cue wth the motion the weapon extended itself and headed straight for Jake.

Jake held his sword in front of him, catching the spear on the flat of the curved blade, but it hit him with such force that it sent him flying backwards. Rolling to avoid damage, Jake stuck his sword in the ground, to stop himself, then got to his feet and looked at Clyde.
"Do you mind if I ask you to try something?" Jake said maintaining his distance, "Because you seem to be having some trouble...my grandfather taught me a sort of meditation for when I can't concentrate during training...back then it was all hypothetical, but given the situation, it could help you out a bit...in your mind, focus on what drives you, and use that to direct your energy...so rather than fighting with your head, kind of feel your way through the movements...use your feelings as a guide to decide your methods."

Clyde let out a small laugh temporarily lowering his weapon, "Easier said than done..." However the boy began to think on it...what had he been feeling when he fought Genno that gave him such direct control of his power? Why was it then that he was so focused, so in control? Was it because he was in danger, because Genno had been a threat, or was it something else a deeper feeling? "What am I feeling now, as a matter of fact? ...It's difficult for me to discern these things, but I need to try."
The boy raised his back up to meet Jake's, "I'll try to do as you say." He promised moving slower this time towards his sparing partner, changing his spear into the shape of a regular short sword. He would move in with single strikes before backing off, trying to move carefully and see what feelings he was expressing when his power was being used.

Jake back stepped to avoid Clyde's cautioned attacks, knowing that in a regualr situation, this would be impossible.
"To you, feelings are complicated," Jake said as one of Clyde's attacks sliced a thin cut into his left shoulder, "but really, they are quite simple...forget all about trying to figure them out, and just go with the flow, live in the moment. Think about them later, once you've had a chance to vent them."
As he finished speaking, he would leap toward Clyde, sword raised above his head, bringign it down in a vertical slash with a loud yell, almost as if to emphasize his point.

Clyde swung his blade up and allowed it to collide with Jake, before swinging upward to push his opponent away from him. He listened to Jake's words and decided to give it a try, breathing in he would try and clear his mind. "Stop trying to figure it out, just act. " he reminded himself before swinging his weapon to his side, changing its form to that of a whip. He would lash it forward and the weapon itself would change direction, following wherever Jake was going. In the meantime Clyde would become quieter, moving back in his thoughts and trying to get a clear head.

Jake hastily avoided the whip, but once again, received a nick to his arm, this time his right forearm. Forcing his reiatsu into his sword making it glow orange, Jake jumped back, stabbing at the air as fast as he could, firing of 10 more spikes of reiatsu, trying to keep his distance. If his plan to get Clyde back into gear worked, then he would need to maintain his distance.

The human breathed in and out again, his reiatsu briefly fluctuating reflex. He brought the whip back and with a flick of his wrist caused it to split into several smaller whips, each colliding with the spikes of reiatsu. His reiatsu fluctuated again, as he brought the whip back again for another attack. When he tried to whip forward something happened. It was brief but an imagine flashed into his head, a picture of some sort of relic in the past. It caused him to hesitate, returning his weapon back into its spear form. He shook his head, trying to ignore what he had seen for now he returned his focus to Jake, bringing his weapon up he would swing down and send a crescent slash towards him.

Jake rolled to avoid the crescent shaped energy blast, and slashed three times at the air, sending 3 of his own similar blasts toward Clyde.
"Looks like we're seeing some results," Jake said with a pleased smile, "don't hold it back Clyde. I'll probably survive if you outright explode."
