Azerik took his massive sword, and swung it around over his head as the "Genzen" approached him, when he saw that it did nothing to block his attack, he changed the movement of his swing, turning his torso around, the moving his legs, swinging his sword in a wide arc at chest height.
His sword met with an invisible force, but he saw a flash of golden light as he hit. The force of the impact shoved him backward slightly, but he recovered easily. Once he was aware of his situation, Azerik jumped into the air, and slashed his sword downward, condensing his reiatsu in front of the blade, the releasing it, causing a shockwave of air to push him up higher into the air. As he reached the peak of his height, he pointed the tip of his sword at Genzen, as tendrils of purple reiatsu began to come from the tip of the blade, and spin around until it formed a drill of energy.
"Rasen no Joukai!" he shouted as he then plummeted toward the 4th Seat. He was going to save his more useful ability for later. For now, he was on the offensive.

Seeing Azerik launch himself down from overhead, Genzen used his Reiki Shirudo to block part of the attack, then Shunpoed from behind the shield while it shattered, then Shunpoed again to appear behind Azerik and attack him while the force of the exploding shield would be knocking the Lieutenant and his drill technique backwards. He kept slashing at the Lieutenant, know Azerik wouldn't be able to counter easily and that he might be able to end this fight without getting that hurt... He smirked, his personality seeming different from when the fight started. This was how he got whenever he used Herutsuryoku in a fight, why he didn't like to fight usually, but loved to while he was. He knew he wouldn't be the same guy when he released his Shikai, and that bothered him somewhat, but he didn't care at the moment. All that mattered was beating Azerik.

Azerik was surprised when he was pushed back, and instinctively released his hold on the energy that formed the drill, pulling his sword out of the formation, and turning in mid air to see Genzen behind him.
When he saw the 4th Seat's sword coming at him, he once again asserted control over the fading energy of the drill behind him, using Summashuyochi's ability to push what was left of it toward Genzen in a make shift wave of reiatsu. Two slashes from Genzen's sword would slice thin cuts into Azerik's legs before the wave hit the 4th seat, causing Azerik to cringe from the pain when he landed.

Genzen was hit head-on by the wave of Reiatsu, knocking him into a wall before he regained his composure and Shunpoed behind Azerik, shouting, "Hisou Kousen!" He began his usual game again, firing a spear of light, then flash-stepping to a different location and firing another one, until he had shot four at Azerik. He then Shunpoed directly infront of Azerik, making a thrust with his sword while firing the last light spear.

Azerik gritted his teeth as he growled as Genzen went about his attack pattern again. It was infuriating, but he would have to bust out his defensive ability.
Slamming his sword into the ground in front of him, Azerik ducked behind it and shouted, "Kuuhaku!". As the single work left his mouth, five black spheres would appear around him, four of them intercepting the spears of light, and the fifth appearing above his head.
"You might find this ability interesting Genzen," Azerik said from behind his sword as Genzen was following through with his fifth and final attack, "it has a way of turning the tables." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, all 4 intercepted spears would fire out of the fifth sphere above Azerik one after the other, aiming at Genzen as he was about to fire his fifth spear.

Caught by surprise and Azerik's sheer speed, Genzen felt two of his own Hisou Kousen spears slice through his side before he fired his last spear at Azerik, point-blank, and Shunpoed away. He gasped out in pain, taking a hand off his sword to clutch his side as he felt blood seek from the wound. "Damn, Azerik," he said through teeth clenched in pain, "This what you had in mind?" It wasn't often Genzen got to see his own blood, let alone this much of it. In the Academy he had mostly fought using Boken, only using his sealed Zanpakuto in fights once he had done some considerable training. He didn't know what to think, except to get madder. His Zanpakuto was telling him to destroy Azerik, to clash swords senselessly until Azerik was too battered and bruised to move... "Assai Kousen," he said with an edge in his voice. The same column of light appeared, and he Shunpoed at the Lieutenant and started swinging at him with terrifying force. The fifth fired light spear slammed into Azerik's grounded sword, which vibrated violently, but otherwise no damage was done. As Genzen came at him again, Azerik would yank his sword from the ground, and roll to the side, narrowly avoiding the beam of light from Genzen's sword, which passed over him as he was rolling, causing the wind to whistle in his ears.
Getting to his feet at the end of the roll, Azerik started off at a run, looping around to run at Genzen while his sword and beam were still moving, and waved his arm in the air, causing three of the black spheres to reposition, one placing itself behind Genzen, one off to his right, and the other a good distance off to his left. Pointing his palm at the one to Genzen's right, Azerik shouted, Hadou #73: Soren Sokatsui! as two blasts of blue fire flew from his hand into the sphere. One would exit the sphere behind him, and the second the sphere off to his left. Azerik was hoping Genzen would dodge the one behind him, not noticing the one that was farther away, leaving himself exposed to the Kido.

Flash-stepping to avoid the first fireball and avoiding the second through having already relocated, Genzen appeared behind Azerik and shouted, "Bakudo #1, Sai!"
He had little faith that the Kido would bind, he just wanted it as a small distraction as he took a slash at Azerik's back mid-spell. He then used Shunpo again to appear on the opposite side of Azerik, but the same distance away from the Lieutenant he had been before. Once again he masked the Shunpo with his Koushigami, so that he would appear to not have moved when in reality he would be standing invisibly behind Azerik. The fake Genzen would try to leap backwards before Azerik could attack, while the real Genzen took an undetectable swing at Azerik.

Azerik's sword was up in the air as soon as Genzen dodged the blasts of blue fire, and by the time Genzen was behind Azerik and uttering his spell, Azerik's blade was held diagonally across his back, blocking both the binding spell, and the slash that Genzen sent at him. Then when Genzen used Shunpo to get in front of Azerik, not even noticing the illusion that had been conjured, he blinked as Genzen vanished before his eyes. Jumping backwards as a reflex, Azerik saw the illusion passing through his torso and smile as he realized what had happened.
As he landed from his jump backward, the black spheres would once again relocate, one behind Genzen, one to either side of him, one above his head in air, and the fourth in front of Azerik. Slashing at the one in front of him, Azerik smiled as the part where his blade met the sphere would appear at the sphere to Genzen's right. He would slash 3 more times, each time the attack coming out of first the one on the 4th Seat's right, then behind him, then his left.

Genzen looked at the orbs uneasily as they gathered around him, holding his ground for the time being. He had previously observed them relocate Azerik's Kido, so he assumed Azerik was about to blast him with a spell, which he wasn't about to let happen. He kept his eyes on Azerik, and noticed with surprise that the Lieutenant had slashed at the sphere. He took a little too long to realize what that would mean for him, and suddenly felt Azerik's sword open up a gash in his arm. When through his haze of anger and pain he saw Azerik make another slash, he was ready and countered the blow carefully with his sword. Not about to take any more hits, he aimed for the gap between the orb above his head and the orbs on his left and right and Shunpoed outside the formation, standing a good distance from Azerik and clutching his injured arm while holding it against his side, both of which were bleeding profusely. He was getting a bit lightheaded, and part of him wanted to call quits and head over to the 4th Squad building. But the dominant part of him just wanted Azerik dead- or very close to death.
"Assai Kousen!" he shouted, ready to break some bones. Clutching his sword in both hands as the twelve-foot pillar of light formed around it, Genzen went completely invisible and used flash step to appear behind Azerik, still perfectly cloaked and long out of Azerik's reach. He swung as hard as he could at his Lieutenant, ready to return some of the damage he'd been receiving. As Azerik would undoubtedly react, Genzen kept swinging his sword to keep him at a distance and hopefully hit the Lieutenant. He then Shunpoed invisibly once again, to through of Azerik further, and took some more swings at Azerik before relocating again and repeating the process.

Azerik let out a grunt as the pillar slammed into his left side, cracking his ribs, and sending him flying. He hit the ground rolling, coughing a bit, trying to catch his breath, and spitting up some blood from having bitten his cheek with his sharp canines. As Genzen went about continuing his assault, Azerik struggled to block each blow catching them at the last minute as his foe cloaked upon reaching each new destination,, each attack knocking him backwards as they smashed into his sword.
As he blocked a third attack, he would let out an enraged roar, and swung his sword in retaliation, hitting the beam of light extending from the invisible Genzen, most likely knocking the 4th Seat off balance. He would then charge forward, letting the force of his reiatsu come to bear down on Genzen, nearly suffocating the younger Shinigami, but not quite reaching full force. As he neared his opponent, he would use the flat of his sword to smash it into the boy's stomach, then pick him up by his Shihakushou, and threw him to the side.
"I can get angry too." Azerik said as he breathed deeply, still trying to catch his breath.

Immobilized by Azerik's superior Reiatsu, Genzen could only watch as Azerik's Zanpakuto smashed into his side and broke his ribs. He was then easily tossed to the side, his pain and Azerik's Reiatsu preventing his from putting up a fight. He slammed into a wall and slid to the ground, covered in his own blood and in an incredible amount of pain. His previous anger was still buzzing in his head, and intensified, but was overwhelmed by a feeling of futility and hopelessness. 'I think I'm about done, Herutsuryoku,' he thought. His Zanpakuto materialized before him as time seemed to freeze, regarding Genzen with almost mournful eyes. 'You cannot rely on me to win, Genzen. As any Zanpakuto, I am only as strong as your will to fight. Your resolve is the only thing that can sharpen your blade.' Genzen looked up at his spirit slowly, trying not to give up on himself and this fight while acknowledging he wasn't exactly in fighting condition. 'I'm ready to give you a shot at him, is what I mean. I need a break...' 'Evidently. Just remember that as I am your power, you are also mine.' Herutsuryoku vanished and Genzen's perception returned to normal, emphasized by the returning pain all over Genzen body. "Dammit, Azerik-kun, what's the point?" He steeled himself as he rose to his feet, thinking he would get at least a moment's reprieve after his next attack. He lifted his sword with some trouble and took a flash step towards his Lieutenant, appearing about four feet away. He swiftly stuck his sword in the ground before his superior and used Shunpo again to put some distance between them, shouting out, "Hikari Kobakuha!" Instantly, the room would be filled with a literally blinding light as the sword itself would unleash a massive explosion. Herutsuryoku now in control of Genzen's injured body, he used Reiki Shirudo to absorb the initial shockwave of the explosion, which he was far away from as it was. Azerik, on the other hand, would have little to protect himself with, save his sword, and was so close to the blast he would unavoidably be badly wounded. The explosion caught Azerik off guard, and he tried in vain to shield his eyes from the blinding light, as the force of the explosion sent him flying along with his sword, and searing the edges of his clothes, leaving several burn marks that bled moderately all over his body. He landed on the ground with a grunt, and used his sword to push himself to his feet, before he realized that in the aftermath of the flash, he was left blind. Growling at the pain of his body, and the blindness he was now afflicted with, Azerik tried to ignore his eyes, focusing his ears and nose, and sensing about for Genzen's reiatsu as he released his own, making sure the 4th Seat couldn't move too quickly, but not quite pushing him to his knees.

Standing still and watching as the explosion died down, Herutsuryoku used his Reiatsu to create two shimmering golden nodachi, one in each hand, and flash stepped towards the blinded Azerik. The Reiatsu was oppressive, but his sudden boost of speed would help to compensate for the slowing effect Azerik was trying to force on him. He would slash downwards at Azerik with his right sword, trying to lock blades, while his left sword would then thrust past Azerik's defense to stab him in the chest.

Azerik heard the sword whistling through the air, and got his sword up in time to block the slash, but failed to predict the path of the second sword, which stabbed into his chest passing under one of the ribs, and barely missing his right lung.
Grimacing at the pain, Azerik brought the full force of his reiatsu down on Genzen, restricting the 4th Seat's movements entirely, and pulling himself away from the sword lodged in his chest. When he was a fair distance from his opponent, Azerik released the pressure on Genzen, and started to apply some with his hand to the wound, holding his sword up in his left hand in case Genzen should attack.

Even with Azerik's overpowering Reiatsu bearing down on him, Herutsuryoku would stare down the Lieutenant with a fierce look in his eyes, challenging, "C'mon! No backing off! I wanna fight!"
As soon as the pressure was off he would Shunpo diagonally, then once again to appear behind Azerik. He would start hacking with both swords excitedly, knowing that his time was about to be up and trying to enjoy every last second of it. Suddenly, the nodachi in his hand would vanish, and he would do a quick backflip as small specks of light would start flying towards him, collecting in his hands and making the shape of a sword. Within seconds, Genzen was again self-possessed and his Shikai was reformed.
Instantly he would hunch over, his sword stuck in the ground and his other hand on his knee, panting heavily and wincing in intense pain. The rage he had previously gathered would be completely gone, and Genzen would be back to his usual reserved self. "Ready to call it a day?" he would ask between gasps, feeling rather finished.

"Not quite," Azerik said as he closed his eyes, preferring to see black to seeing the blinding white that Genzen's attack had inflicted on him. Azerik had been unable to block any of the flurried blows, and had several small cuts all over his body, as well as the stab wound inflicted by the reiatsu swords. Now however, he was a bit more prepared.
Putting his Reiatsu out to restrict Genzen's movements again, held his hand out in front of him, and began to chant the incantation for a binding spell.
"Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. with light Divide this into six. Bakudou #61: Rikujokoro!"
As the words left his mouth, six beams of light would appear, and head toward Genzen, who would be unlikely to dodge effectively, with Azerik already restricting his movements via Reiatsu suppression. When that was done, Azerik sniffed the air, and using the 4th Seat's scent to accurately pin point his location, Azerik dashed toward him, right hand now wielding his sword, and his left hand gripping the wound in his chest. As he closed in, 4 of his black spheres would reposition to be spaced evenly around Genzen, and the 5th would appear a few feet in front of Azerik who shouted, "Inju Joukai!" as a purple ribbon of reiatsu erupted from the tip of his sword.
He would come to an abrupt halt, and send the ribbon into his sphere, and it would come out of one of the ones around Genzen, then go into another, then come out somewhere else again. This process repeated, until a makeshift dome of reiatsu was surrounding Genzen. Azerik would then yank back on the ribbon, and the web around Genzen would restrict, and retract into the spheres, the edges slicing thin lines into the 4th Seat's flesh, not dissimilar to the cuts on Azerik.

"Wuh?" he mumbled confusedly, looking up and blinking out the blood in his eyes to see his Lieutenant preparing to attack again. Hearing Azerik's incantation and recognizing it, Genzen would use his Reiki Shirudo power silently to block the spell, having plenty of time to cast it even while being suppressed. When Azerik's spheres started heading towards him, Genzen knew he had to escape, and thought desperately of a way to fool the blind Lycan and avoid taking any more pain. In a swift motion, he cut off a length of fabric from his bloody hakama and dropped it on the ground, then created an illusion of himself standing over it. He thought, perhaps if he left a bit of his scent behind, Azerik's senses wouldn't know the difference.
He quickly used Shunpo as the spheres closed in, ending up a good distance from Azerik where his smell wouldn't give off his new location for the duration of the attack at the least. Assuming Azerik's sight would return eventually, he cloaked himself again with Koushigami, also making sure to hide the small pool of blood that was gathering under him. He had lost his will to hurt Azerik along with his anger, and now he only wanted to defend himself.

Azerik was not as easily fooled as Genzen had anticipated. Azerik easily heard the sound of Genzen using Shunpo to avoid his attack, and reflexively opened his eyes while turning around and saw that his vision-while still a little blurry-was returning.
When Azerik saw that Genzen's image in front of him was getting fainter, he realized that the 4th Seat was cloaking. Determined to get some damage in, Azerik opted to use a faster Kido.
"Bakudou #63: Sajo Sabuka!"
AS the chains would head for the invisible Genzen, Azerik would slash his sword violently in his direction, sending a blast of air that would probably send him flying, even if the binding spell failed.

"Aw, c'mon!" he would shout as Azerik continued to pursue him, using his Reiki Shirudo to block the chains and letting the after-explosion lessen the force of the wind, which would still knock into him and push him away from his sword. He slid to a halt, clutching his side with his head down and his hair over his eyes, still loosing blood and in alot of pain. He would look up, brushing some hair to the side and seeing his sword was on the ground a little ways away. At his will, it changed to it's sealed state, and he turned his one-eyed gaze to Azerik. "You done, dude?"
