eeeppppp...
eeeeeppppp.....
eeeeeeppppppppp..... The sound echoed through Miwa's head as images flashed through her head of all the recent events that had occurred. The visage of Rose clearly stood out among the others, positioned like a martyr across a cross, while a sharp object pierced the heart of the arrancar, the crimson drops beating down around Miwa like rain, hitting her forehead, as her hands wiped it off, only managing to smear it across her otherwise dirty face. The yells of everyone around her rung clearly in her ears, the sound of war engulfed the area, as Miwa fell....fell....tumbling across the hard surface, gravel becoming lodged into her flesh as she struggled to contain herself. Pushing herself onto her bruised knees, she glanced up to see the familiar sight of a bloodied battered, individual against the cross, but alas this was not the messiah most had come to praise, nay it was among her enemies as the heavens light began to issue down upon the Arrancar. It soon engulfed Miwa herself, as Miwa could envision the armageddon that had taken place. The apocalypse had come, and she had emerged victorious. As the heavenly light washed over her, Miwa found something peculiar. While she originally thought it wasn't going to be painful, she soon found herself clenching her teeth, as she huddled up into a ball to rid herself of the massive burning sensation that had engulfed her body, before all faded to black. eeeppppp...
eeeeeppppp.....
eeeeeeppppppppp..... Yet in the eternal darkness, the sound permeated, as the hues slowly returned to the blackness, black soon turning to gray, and eventually white as Miwa's eyelids shot open to welcome the light. It took a few moments to register where she was as everything seemed to be of white. As her chest moved forward a bit, Miwa grunted as she lifted herself into a sitting position, sharp jolts of pain blasting through her body with such a simplistic maneuver. Lowering her head, she found her body encased in a white cocoon of bandages that restricted her movements. eeeppppp... eeeeeppppp..... eeeeeeppppppppp..... Tilting her head to the side, Miwa's eyelids fluttered several times before registering the source of the noise, her ocean blue eyes staring at the device, as the green waves darted across the black surface of the computer screen. Moving her hand forward to halt the insufferable beeping of the machine, Miwa soon found her hand tugged back by the tubes that remained firmly inserted into her right arm. It was all starting to make sense to her as to where she was now. The blueish hued curtains that were all around her.... The white sheets that laid among her ankles, the strange attachments that provided nutrition to her body. Though she hadn't realized it had been three weeks since the incident with the arrancar, her gaze would soon turn to her left wrist as memories soon flooded her head, discerning themselves from the dreams she had been having while in her comatose state. Bringing her left arm upwards, she was surprised to see the hand attached to it, though she had been positive she had lost it just hours before. Yet there her hand was, crude stitches lining her wrist, as a scar would most likely be the final result, reminding her of her confrontation. Sighing to herself, Miwa knew she had been admitted to the hospital, as her right arm ran through her hair, stopping at the bottom of her neck as she soon realized her long ebony hair had been shaven off, her hair now stopping at the beginning of her neck. Growling a threat under her breath, "I'll fucking kill them when I'm out ......." She was soon halted midsentence by the sound of voices on the other side of the curtains, her figure leaning forward as she eagerly anticipated something more than just a hospital bed. Even if she was in poor condition, she couldn't just wait and sit around. Her voice, raw from not using it, whispered out towards them faintly, "Hellooo?"

A quincy nurse’s muffled voice would be heard while Miwa was just starting to get consciousness. The exact details of what he was saying would not register immediately with the young girl, but it was clear he was speaking with someone about her condition as well as the condition of “the young man.” He was explaining that even with everything they could do her injuries were extensive, and natural healing was gonna be the key to making it out of here. However, for Drsytan they seemed much more confident that he could leave very soon if not immediately, though he apparently was not in much of a rush to go and leave…the nurse seemed to suspect it was because of who his roommate was.
Another voice laughed softly, and even with Miwa not being fully aware, she would recognize the laugh instantly. On the other side of that curtain was the human who had Miwa had never saw during the final battle, the one that Karzan had supposedly targeted while the war came to its end…Clyde was the one other side. “Sounds like Drystan. I hope he comes back to the room soon, I was hoping to talk to him this time. These, uh... these visits have been…pretty quiet.” The young man admitted, the sound of him scratching the back of his head was heard through the curtains.
“I know you’re worried, but she’ll recover from this.” It seemed like the two were about to wrap up their conversation, as their footsteps were moving away from her bedside when the young boy’s ears perked a bit as Miwa called out to them; her movements up till then had gone unseen by the two. The boy blinked, as if unsure if he had imagined her voice, he looked back at the quincy who nodded with reassurance that she had spoken…clearly he was just as surprised as Clyde was. “Wow…I’m better at this than I thought. I didn't mean she'd recover this soon!” The Nurse seemed to admit confidently as he stepped aside from the gray eyed young man. “Ahem...I’ll get the doctor.”
“…Thanks.” Clyde said simply as his footsteps moved back towards the curtain, clearly something slightly off with how he was walking. When his free hand moved the curtain to the side, she would see just how much “better” he was doing than her by comparison. One of his legs had a brace around its knee as the cause for his awkward movement; preventing him from bending it too far. His right arm was in a sling and heavily bandaged, and other areas of exposed skin looked like patchwork from all the bandages placed over his wounds. He was in rough shape, but it was nothing compared to Miwa's injuries.
His eyes, though, they looked like the eyes of relief as he saw his friend awake…alive. “Miwa!” He exclaimed enthusiastically before stopping from a sudden jolt of pain in his side. Calming himself, he bowed his head to her as best he could, his neck still hurt from the battle. With his head and eyes lowered towards the ground, it looked as if he was making some sort of apologetic gesture… "Miwa," he repeated quietly, "you're okay..."

"I'll see ya later bird," Drystan said to a female nurse in the hall before he entered to see Clyde talking to Miwa, "I'll pick you up for dinner at 5."
Smiling at Clyde, the Alchemist plopped down in a visitor's chair and looked over to the still bed ridden Miwa. "Awake now are ya lass?" he said with a relieved tone, "with your hand cut off I was afraid you'd lose too much blood, but that Shinigami bloke fix ya up good enough to travel...too bad you didn't wake up earlier, I've got a date in a few hours, so I'm afraid that as crazy as you are for me, you'll just have to find someone else."

Clyde-kun.....
Her voice would weakly exclaim as she heard the unmistakable vocal patterns of the amnesiac boy, her eyes brightening at the sound of something familiar, something not out of her dreams. As the curtain was pulled open, Miwa saw that the voice did indeed belong to Clyde.
Her eyes trailed over the boy's form as she was about to give the boy a piece of her mind, but as soon as she opened her mouth, she halted. Clyde-kun too, was also in bandages and a knee brace. That alone indicated that he did in fact take place in the battle, though he hadn't suffered wounds as serious as herself, which made her bitter nonetheless. Her face becoming flush, she quickly turned her head away, hiding the crimson shade of her facial expression from Clyde, mumbling bashfully under her breath, though her voice was loud enough for Clyde to hear. "I'm fine..... It's nothing.... I've taken down much worse than that arrancar..."
It was a blatant lie of course, but having Clyde-kun giving her that sympathetic gaze was an insult on her own pride. She didn't need anyone to look after her after all, let alone Clyde-kun. It only led up to a brief moment of awkward silence. Of course, moments like these never lasted as the silence was soon broken by the same alchemist who had always burst in at these times.
The tuft of lavender hair indicated that Drystan had once again entered at the most inconvenient of times, as Miwa heard the alchemist flirt with one of the nurses before entering the room. While at first, Drystan seemed to show some compassion for Miwa, she let out a reluctant sigh. Then it soon turned to his usual act of perversion as Miwa's fists clenched at her sides, her teeth grinding against each other. Once again, she could feel her temple pulsing in her forehead as she snapped back at the boy, her voice louder than before. "Drystaaaannnnn...."
As Miwa's temper flared, the alchemist would soon notice a burst of raw electricity shoot from Miwa's body, launching itself towards Drystan which the clear intent of hurting the boy. Her voice would then pipe up even louder as she clearly showed her disdain for the alchemist, her blue aura beginning to surround her, as the heartrate machine next to her began to shortcircuit, making an awful buzzing noise before the screen faded to black.
"PERVERT, WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!!! JUST WHEN I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT HAVE LEARNED SOME MODESTY, YOU LET THAT BULLSHIT SPEW FROM YOUR MOUTH!!!! YOU HAD BETTER TAKE YOUR LITTLE NURSE FRIEND BECAUSE YOU'LL BE NEEDING HER AFTER I GET OUT OF THIS BODY CAST!!!!!"
Miwa's face. as opposed to the slight reddened color she had earlier, was now a full beet red color, her anger clearly evident at Drystan, mixed in with her frustration of being unable to move. Each breath was hastened, her chest heaving rapidly, as she laid her head back down from the sudden fit of dizziness that had befallen her, though her eyes remained locked on Drystan. She meant every word that she said.

Clyde’s eyes shifted to the right awkwardly as the two remained silent for what was only a few seconds. The boy wanted to apologize, but he knew by now that he would only upset her if tried to explain his absence during the fight. No matter what the circumstance was, for some reason that the boy did not understand she never liked to seem vulnerable or weak to him. This always caused moments like this to happen due to Clyde’s naturally caring nature, and this was one of the times where he really did not know what to say.
At this point, he was content with just seeing her awake and okay; even with her injuries it seemed her iron will would not allow her even a moment of weakness as she immediately downplayed her battle with the espada and the injuries she received. That was good enough for him, at least. However, it didn’t stop the exchange from being clumsy and awkward between the two, but this was promptly interrupted as Drystan probed himself on one of the visitor’s chairs; ruining any moment that might have arisen from it.
The alchemist seemed to be in high spirits, as he wasted no time hitting on some nurse outside, and proceeded to tease Miwa with this knowledge. Clyde turned his head to the alchemist and opened his mouth to say something, but his voice was cut off as a bolt of electricity flew past him, causing the hair on his head to rise. His eyes widened as a gust of air followed, Miwa’s yelling voice, powerfully causing his clothing and hair to flap in the wind from it. It was all so sudden and hectic; the boy actually fell over from his unsteady left leg, landing on the ground clumsily.
“Ow.” He awkwardly coughed out as he lay on the ground. Nurses and patients from outside all looked towards the room, wondering what the hell that commotion was, but none dared to enter. “Can we…uh, can we hold off on doing things like that? …Please? I don't want us leaving the hospital in a worse condition than we entered it...” The boy begged his left hand would appear from below and grabbed the edge of Miwa’s bed, desperately trying to get back onto both feet. With his left leg forcibly straitened out from the brace, though, it was nearly impossible as he slid from the left and right awkwardly and practically pulling the sheets right off the bed before he could finally balance himself. “Whew,” a sigh of relief left his mouth from all the struggling.

Drystan's smile remained on his face as the lightning bolt struck him right in the face, leaving a severe burn on his cheek. He winced at the pain, but maintained his smile, as he looked at the injured girl...injuries he felt responsible for. If he had arrived sooner rather than simply observing the fight, they could have avoided at least the more serious injuries.
"There's no nurse," he said the barest hint of an apology in his voice, "I just needed an excuse for you to hurt me...I'm sorry I didn't show up earlier, if I had joined in right when I arrived things might have gone differently...we're not quite even, but I'll have a scar on my cheek now if that means anything."
His smile faltered for all of a minute as he contemplated how things could have gone, before it returned wider than ever. In the heat of the moment he had forgotten the news he was brining to Clyde before the battle erupted around them. His face became more serious now, not angry or sad, but his eyes displayed a much more candor than usual.
"I've got something I want to ask you two," he said in a hushed tone, "before the battle started, I was in contact with my organization back in the Europe and America...my uncle managed to convince the council to provide us with funding to build up a new organization here in Karakura. You're both aware of how more Humans with abilities are cropping up, whether they come from abroad, or simply develop powers from all that goes on around here, and Clyde especially should know how hard it is for some of them to defend themselves from all the threats that surround us...your old teacher, Ryo, was a rare figure powerful enough to protect the Humans who sought him for training, but there's no way he could fully fathom the extend of our powers because of how different they are. In short, we need a new group, something to bring the Humans seeking help together in one place, where they can be taught by those of us who have experience, and the knowledge to help them develop."
Clyde paused for a minute, letting what he said sink in before continuing. He had to sell this idea for all it was worth, because it was the only thing he'd be able to contribute to the survival game they had been thrust into. "Clyde is a natural leader," he said to drive his point further, "even if you don't have the knowledge to run a group, you have charisma Clyde, and the most battle experience out of us all..and lets face it, you're the only Human with power to take on a Shinigami Captain-class enemy. I can help with organization its my specialty, and Miwa would make a great combat trainer with her history in the dojo...we can resurrect what Ryo was doing, and make it a little more organized so that we aren't losing members, and so we can get ourselves involved in spiritual politics...the Quincy look down on us, because we have no traditions and no group, we're a rabble...but this can change all that."

Smirking to herself as the bolt made its mark, Miwa pulled herself back into a sitting position as she watched Clyde's shocked reaction from her own outburst, quickly forcing out an apology under her breath to the boy, since he too had suffered injuries, her head turning away to avoid looking into Clyde's eyes as he pulled himself back up.
"Sorry Clyde-kun...."
As her head turned back around, she simply waved off Drystan's pitiful excuse of an apology as though the result would have been the same whether he was there or not. Her figure would nonetheless push forward as her eyes drifted over Drystan in interest, for the next words were of something she had heard brief mention of, but never really knew where Drystan came from other than being from an organization of alchemists, most of what Drystan spoke of being new to her. Ryo, too, was a name Clyde had mentioned when they first met, so she knew about his involvement in training humans.
But this talk of funding for a new group of spiritually trained humans was if anything, an exciting prospect for her. The possibilities were endless. Even despite her inability to move, excess static electricity was bouncing off of her cast in her excitement in the form of sparks. As her eyes begun to show new vigor within, her gaze would shift between Clyde and Drystan excitably, her words nearly forcing themselves out at a phenomenal speed, some slurring themselves together as Miwa spoke. "So thenwe won't have to relyonShinigami to protect the humans. I guesswe have been ratherscattered asfar as ourkind have been concerned." Her thoughts would drift to the various humans with gifts she had met since her short stint training with Clyde. That strange corrosion girl she chased down in the woods, that odd Reven fellow she faced her first arrancar with, those odd individuals she had met in the park which triggered her powers, Drystan and then the Quincy Heinrich who had assisted in the defeat of the Espada woman. While the latter had been a Quincy, the others indeed possessed some kind of power. To rally them up to fight together as as unit was their only chance at survival. And best of all, they wouldn't have to rely on the Shinigami to protect the humans, which had always ate at Miwa's own pride, always acting as though humans couldn't defend themselves. Well, a group would certainly change that.
"Alright, I'm game...."

Clyde let out a sigh of relief as he regained his balance from off the floor. His body was sore all over, and the simple motion of standing back up showed some clear strain on him…not surprising considering the fight he had during the end of the war. “Gee, thanks for the helping hand, Drsytan.” The boy gave an annoyed look, though clearly in jest; he was not really angry though he did want to point out that he wasn’t even offered help off the ground in his current condition. A small laugh escaped his bruised body before a slight cough of pain followed it. “Ooow, I should avoid laughing, heh heh.”
Taking a few careful steps forward he eased into another visitor’s chair, giving him a more comfortable position for the time being as Drystan made his proposal to the two of them. What the alchemist said made a lot of sense to the young man, now more than ever was the time to guide those who would undoubtedly develop powers from the arrancar’s invasion…and with the knowledge of the philosopher’s stone Clyde had incredible insight into the inner workings of powers that humans developed. “Hasaki Ryo… he left everything in my care. I wasn’t sure what to do with that kind of responsibility, not until the guidance I received from training with both of you and fighting in this war. If we could give that same guidance to those around us, so they wouldn’t suffer from the hardships we had…that would be worth working towards.” He reasoned simply, giving a hopeful smile to his two friends.
“If humanity could rely on itself completely… It could be the first step to changing things for the better, for everyone. I owe Ryo, and everyone we’ve lost at least that much.” He boy thought to himself, reclining back into the chair to support his exhausted body. “If this is what you both wish to do, I will as well. Sticking together…forming these bonds, that’s what’s allowed us to carve our path forward. There would be no greater honor for me than to continue this path with both of you.” He admitted truthfully, despite how corny it might have sounded; he genuinely believed his own words. “What I mean to say, is that I’m in as well. Together, the three of us can prove humanities worth. That will always be something worth fighting for.”
