Personality:
What is the personality of one who would give up the heavens themselves for a chance to gain knowledge that may not even exist? Unsatisfiable, Faust is a representation of unsatisfiable in it's worst form, but at the same time his knowledge and wisdom gained from this has allowed Faust, despite all the crimes and vileness he committed to be able to share knowledge and wisdom with many since his struggles have ended.
Faust isn't charismatic in the way most people think of when it comes to being charismatic. People aren't naturally attracted to Faust, especially those who are spiritual or believe in unanswerable questions. The most common reason people tend to come to see things Faust's way is the pure admiration factor that comes with his struggles and wisdom on so many aspects of life. Always objective, never subjective, and never having remorse, Faust is capable of the cruelest of attacks and treachery without hesitation and people know this about him, yet restraint prevents him from doing so and people respect him for it.
Some people believe however that Faust's current state, this "Faust" that he's brought about within himself is not truly the state of a murderer, or someone who wishes to be so cold and objective of everything, but one who's lost love and in confusion fell to the seductive ways of darkness. Faust found strength in persistence, it was always how he made up his mind, but when it came time for Faust to give up on his quest and let the one he loved know how he felt and that he did really want to make her happy, Faust continued on and lost her, his persistence betrayed him and his mind and heart fell to chaos.
One cannot initially tell this about Faust though, as he's very straight forward and blunt in the way he speaks, yet he does have a way of being sarcastic that is unique to he alone. Everything he says is to the point, however depending on the mood or what is needed at the time, Faust may instead choose to be lighthearted and clam, or dark and straight forward. Faust's strengths lie in deception and trickery, much like Faust's form of combat.
While Faust may look like he is on the defensive in a great many fights, he's really an aggressive person. Faust strikes quickly, and fast, hitting an enemy once they've opened up a weakness and exploiting it. In this Faust has become deadly in the shadows and the ones he has gone after by being able to find someone's weak point and exploiting it, dragging it out and forcing someone while they're weak to face him.

History:
In the year 1710 Earth time, a child was born in the Soul Society who would be called Leon. By the time the Child had the appearance of a thirteen year old he was discovered to be spiritually aware and was taken into the Shinigami Academy.
Leon was a great student and a favorite by many of his instructors. He was quick to pick up on information and always good at retaining it. Leon showed favorable aspects to be in Division Twelve and after a time in the Academy graduated and joined the ranks of the Division Twelve. There Leon gained a reputation for searching for anything and everything. If it was knowledge Leon wanted it, and he spent a great deal of his time looking for information.
Likewise unbeknown to Leon, in the complete opposite realm of Hueco Mundo a Hollow called Mephisto demanded power. Having no offensive abilities of his own, Mephisto gained power by making deals on the Souls of other Hollows. Promising them power and strength to become stronger, but not telling them that in return for this power he consumed their soul and became more powerful without having to fight.
After several hundred years, Leon having spent much of his time researching all aspects of the Shinigami became confronted with a grim reality. That reality was that even he, and the rest of the Shinigami had certain unbreakable limitations, and as far as Leon knew nothing could over come them.
The realization of this truth was that Leon at some point would achieve Bankai and then one day he'd master it, at that point there would be nothing more that Leon could do. Sure Leon could develop Kidou and new technologies for other Shinigami, but in comparison to becoming more spiritually aware or advancing the soul for all Shinigami, Leon had nothing.
Leon soon became depressed in the Soul Society and even at one point considered suicide to be the best option. However, Leon came up with the theory one night that perhaps it was the Soul Society itself that limited a Shinigami and so having some strings pulled Leon was given temporary leave to the World of the Living in order to carry out research there.
Taking a Farewell of most of his friends and comrades, Leon departed for the World of the Living. With only a Gegai and most of his powers being limited, Leon would carry out research for several years in a new land.
Meanwhile in Hueco Mundo, Mephisto gained power over his new Gillian body. Somehow despite his lack of offensive powers, the sheer dominating willpower of his mind managed to overthrow all of the other hollows he competed with. Mephisto then began to seek out power in other Hollows.
Years flowed like days for Leon who continued to search everywhere and everything in order to gain some form of knowledge.
During this time Mephisto became a Adjucha, and devoured many other Hollows before becoming trapped within the Adjucha form, unable to consume enough hollows to become a Vastro Lorde. Trapped and in despair, Mephisto set out to the World of the Living trying to find someway to gain the power to become stronger. During this time he finds Leon and watches him carefully.
After years of struggle that had all turned out to be meaningless, Leon becomes addicted to drugs and almost anything occult. The drugs gave Leon the ability to see thing that were otherworldly and the occult at least gave Leon the feeling that maybe there was something else out there.
The Soul Society noticing finally that Leon had become too weak to remain in the World of the Living having forgotten his prior task sent a young, former classmate of Leon's, Helena to retrieve Leon and return him to the Soul Society. However Mephisto would find Leon first.
Becoming depressed and again suicidal, Leon decides under the full moon in Karakura town to take his own life. In an ally alone, Leon prepared his weapon of choice, his own Zanpakutou to commit Seppuku with.
Finally his final hour seemed to be upon him, blade leveled at his stomach Leon said his final prayers and became ready. Leon had his nerve gathered when something interrupted him.
Bathed in a Halo made of Moonlight Mephisto descended upon Leon in the hidden form of an Angel. He told Leon that it was not his destiny to die, and that he could give Leon everything he wanted, knowledge, power, glory. If Leon wanted it, Mephisto had away to get it to him. The only price however was when Leon finally felt contempt with his power, when the time finally came that Leon had come to peace, his Soul would become forfeit to Mephisto.
Mephisto's plan was to use Leon's Spiritual Body and possess it, giving him truly a new body that was something beyond what any normal Arrancar or Vastro Lorde could hope to accomplish. However Mephisto ran into the problem that Leon didn't believe this possible. However Mephisto had such a plan made for that event and escorted Leon to an abandoned temple.
To prove his power Mephisto brought Leon to an abandoned temple that was now inhabited by lost spirits all convinced that if they served Mephisto, he would allow them to pass into the Soul Society. Hidden away from major populations and avoiding the eye of the Shinigami, Mephisto had managed to prepare a massive feast.
At this feast Leon was able to meet and learn from the dead, enjoy the best food and great company. The mere fact such a feat was possible proved to Leon that Mephisto's power was great.
Mephisto's power only became more great however as the feast continued. Leon enjoyed everything and alas the secrets of the world beyond his own was something that would be obtainable. His doubts were destroyed and he submitted to Mephisto's will however he had one modification and that was if ever he felt so content with his life that he never wished it to end, then he would allow Mephisto to collect his soul.
Mephisto wasn't happy and after several long moments of consideration decided begrudgingly to accept. Mephisto knew that that meant in order to win his bet a lot more souls would have to suffer. Soon after the Feast though Leon vanished from Mephisto's castle to return to town. Mephisto then consumed all the Souls from the feast and continued to watch from the temple and wait for a new way to ensure that Leon was completely content.
While in town, feeling oddly enough more powerful as if the deal made with Mephisto was already taking effect. Leon encountered Helena who'd finally found him. Happy to see her, Leon approached her. Helena was surprised by the sudden strength and vigor of Leon who was reported to be weak.
The two were friends and were happy to see each other. Getting an Inn Room the two spent the night together at one point even sleeping together. Helena then told Leon all she had been sent to do.
Even upon hearing what Helena has to offer, Leon refuses to return to the Soul Society. Especially after obtaining his new found powers brought to him by Mephisto. Despite her desire not to fight him, Helena attempts to use Kidou to capture Leon.
In response Leon draws his Zanpakutou and wounds Helena. Leon felt terrible having fallen in love with Helena over night, however he decides that the benefit of all Shinigami (despite his betrayal to them) was more important than his love for Helena and as such leaves.
After being mortally wounded Helena crawls into an ally heart broken and wounded. Drawing her Zanapkutou for one final move, Helena ends her life, not able to transcend back to the Soul Society, Helena dies.
At dawn another Shinigami approached Leon, angry and Zanpakutou drawn he is claiming that Leon killed the first Shinigami sent to bring him in.
When Leon heres this from the Shinigami he focuses his powerful new senses to find Helena, for which he cannot. This confirms his fear and Leon becomes hurt. Forsaking the name Leon from that point on and using only the name "Faust" Leon ran from the Shinigami, however when he was unable to escape, Faust killed the new Shinigami.
Not knowing what to do next, Leon decides that the only thing he can do is continue his quest to gain knowledge so that at least Helena's death was not in vain.
Mephisto continued to observe Leon for a very long time after he'd left the temple. During this time Leon had found a childhood friend whom he'd loved and together they conceived a child. However Leon decided despite his love he had to continue his quest and left his love. Following her duty, Helena attempted to stop Leon, who then dealt a serious blow the Helena, which later caused her to take her own life in sorrow.
When Leon made his way deeper into town he heard from another Shinigami that he'd murdered another Shinigami. Leon upon slaying the Shinigami learned that it was his love who'd committed suicide. Overwhelming grief consumed Leon who then changed his name to Faust. Mephisto tried to console him, telling Faust that her life was the cost of playing with fire and if she'd really loved him she knew what she was getting into.
At the same time Mephisto berated his emotions of love saying that passion was purely destructive. That only in Mephisto's power, only in logic would Leon find true happiness. Leon in confusion blamed his god and fell into a deep depression.
In Faust's darkest hour, Mephisto made his way though out the town and found a woman who bare a striking resemblance to Faust's fallen lover. Mephisto used this woman and took her to Faust trying to manipulate Faust's mind and the woman would be the catalyst to overcome Faust's mental state by an overwhelming physical pleasure.
It was a most sadistic seduction, Mephisto seduced Faust's mind and will into living and abandoning his faith and love. The woman sudeced Faust's body and in a joint effort they over came his sorrow if only temporarily.
With the two pronged seduction complete, Mephisto temporarily gained power over Faust's very will and Faust slept with the woman. When Faust was finally himself again he realized quickly what had happened. However Mephisto was gone, he was quietly observing the poor soul.
Mephisto had gained powerful knowledge and that was that Faust could be seduced into giving up his soul to Mephisto and as such Mephisto would win his bet. Quietly Mephisto went to sleep, ensuring he was safe from any Shinigami ambush. Mephisto had things to think about, his life could be changing very quickly with the corruption of Faust.
Faust is left to explain to the woman what had happened the best he can. He has to first explain to the woman that he saw here merely has a shadow of his fallen love and he could never love her as he loved Helena. Faust urges her to leave him as he his, and tells her that one day he they might reunite.
Faust then leaves, never to see the woman again.
Tormented by the death of his love and his outcast status of the Shinigami. Faust becomes confused and angry at the very fate he set himself on. How could all that he had set out to do, even with his good intentions have gone so horridly wrong?
Faust couldn't fathom how insignificant all he knew made the Shinigami, or made the Humans for that matter. Or anything, everything was irrelevant if what he'd found out was true, even with his new found powers he gained nothing. All this again only served as a reminder of the death of his love.
Faust comes to accept that the greater truths of the Universe must be unknown, and that he will never see them. Here Faust plants the seeds to become infinitely more powerful than he ever though imaginable.
However upon this realization it occurs to Faust that even if he did discover something, he could never return to the Soul Society and inform anyone of these things. Faust in the end would never be able to finish his work.
Confused, Faust calls out for mercy and answers. While Mephisto sleeps Faust leaves the town and crosses out across a snowy field looking for time to think and gain some thought process about what to do now.
While he is out, Faust thinks about all that has happened, how everything that happened was his fault. He'd forsaken the two women who'd loved him, killed one and abandoned the other. The pain and guilt he felt was entirely his own and no one else's. Faust knew then he'd have to live up for what he did, just as soon as he came to terms with himself.
Knowing the fate of his soul upon becoming contempt with life, Faust ensures he will not be contempt until he fights Mephisto. Returning finally to town, Faust abandons his Gegai to cross more easily the now melted river he'd crossed before.
Zanpakutou ready, Faust goes to the abandoned temple to face Mephisto and his sins. Knowing that Faust has but one option, repentance, which even now mere repentance was not enough for what he'd done.
Just before entering the Temple of Mephisto, Faust stops and looks up at the Full Moon and wonders if there is anything other than death and damnation in his future.
Some time passed and just when Mephisto began to think that Faust was beginning to resign himself to the will of the Adjucha, Faust approached the monster as he watched over his temple. Mephisto expected the resolve he felt within Faust to be that of a surrender of his soul so that Mephisto would win his bet.
"Mephisto" Faust called out across the cold, snow covered graves. Mephisto said nothing and looked to Faust a small smirk coming across his face. "You are a liar, a traitor, and I will rid you of this world so that you cannot deceive another person!" Mephisto quickly became angry and looked down upon the Shinigami. Mephisto knew the time was coming to remind the Shinigami of death.
Faust finally, fully embraced the power he'd had as well as the power Mephisto had given him and called upon his Shikai which appeared to be made from the light from the moon. In rage, Mephisto attacked and the true power of Mephisto was revealed. Mephisto had no true power of his own, but rather he was a reflection of those around him who accepted his help and gift. While Leon had a blade of pure light, Mephisto's appeared to be black as the seal on Faust's soul.
In that instant both warriors clashed, blades crossed and Mephisto let out a horrible scream. In that instant, Faust felt satisfied with the outcome of everything. Upon becoming satisfied though, his deal with Mephisto was complete and the Adjucha was given the ability to merge with Faust's Soul.
In the instant their souls became one an internal war began between Faust and Mephisto. The Darkness and power of Mephisto going against Faust and all his knowledge and newly acquired wisdom.
During this time Faust's body was internally destroyed and rebuilt several times, and Faust had two options. Surrender his body and Soul to Mephisto or overpower him and come what may. Faust defended desperately the second option as an internal revolution in his mind and soul was waged.
When alas the internal war was over, with a scream of two voices Faust cried out "VICTORIA!" and pulled from his face a Hollow's Mask. His powers were transformed and he'd broken his limits. The punishment for his sins were to live on and repent, to not have the easy way out and suffer though damnation.
From the bottom of his soul Faust could hear Mephisto cry out as he fell into darkness "UNA VOCE... VOLO, NON VALEO DULCE ET DECORUM ESTPRO PATRIA MORI MEMENTO MORI!"
For a brief instant Faust thought that he'd heard Helena say out to him "Victora, Non Praeda. Memento Mori." Finally Faust fell truly at peace though he was never able to recover enough to show it.
Years passed and times changed. Faust training in secret and solitude managed to Obtain Bankai, but he was always on the run from the other Shinigami. Faust even got word of an organization called Viz Corp that recruited people who suffered from internal Hollows.
Faust didn't consider what he had to be suffering though, nor did finding other people with his mistake to be comforting. Faust instead chose to stay alone and take what he had as a gift given to him to do things better than the other people who might have had it would have.
Faust still believes in gaining knowledge, but not for advancement of oneself or a race, but for the protection of all. To this day, somewhere in Karakura Town Tokyo, Faust waits in secret, doing what he can to better himself and the spiritually aware around him.

-Bankai:
"Non Praeda, Memento Mori."
Memento Mori when it reaches its Bankai level oddly enough does not change shape from it's Shikai form. However the moment Memento Mori reaches Bankai a Black Halo appears above Faust's head which is the representation of all of his Reiatsu.
As Faust becomes more tired the Halo begins to fade. When the Halo vanishes completely, Faust has exhausted all of his Reiatsu.
Additionally, if Faust calls Bankai while his Vizard Mask is on, his eyes go from Vizard Blacka nd Yellow to white and purple, and look crazed.
Mask Description:
Spirit & Inner Hollow Description:
After the internal war with Faust, Mephisto's identity as a hollow was stripped completely. He appears now to be merely the Shadow of Memento Mori, a vague object that has no body of its own. A true hell for one who strove to have everything, an eternity of nothing.
Memento Mori appears to be a small child, eager to learn and absorb new info. Very much a reflection of Faust, Memento Mori strives to know everything about everything.
Inner World:
Faust's Inner world is an infinitely vast library that runs on in every direction as far as the eye can see. Faust theorizes that within that library holds the secrets of eternity as well as several books that have remained unwritten. It is Fausts goal to find away to write these books and find these secrets to further unlock all that he is capable of unlocking.
Attacks:
Shikai: The lost and the Damned: An attack which the name isn't required to be used. This attack merely launches a wave of white moonlight towards a target. If it hits and the target is at least fifty Reiatsu underneath Faust, the attack begins to break down the targets body every hit after that causes the body to break down at a quicker rate. If hit ten times the body is destroyed. The attack is also usable as a suitable counter to break down attacks launched against Faust, if the attack is to par with Faust's strength it merely negates the attack instead of breaking it down.
The light from this attack can be reflected with a Reiatsu of 25 or higher and some sort of reflective material.
Bankai: Halo Black: This attack causes Memento Mori to turn black as coal. When hit successfully with this attack the victim gains all the knowledge of Memento Mori, however in return Faust gains all the knowledge of his enemy's combat ability not just including their Spiritual Weapon. After the first hit Faust gains knowledge of the opponents Shikai, the second time, their fighting style, the third time half of their kidou. The Fourth time the rest of their Kidou, the Fifth time their bankai and the sixth time, their bankai's attacks.
Bankai: The Ripple Theory: This attack is based around the theory that each life is like a pond, throw a rock in and the ripples effect all parts. When struck with the blade using this attack should the enemy be hit, their body breaks down and decays for an area three times the size of the wound.
Bankai: Epica: When used, at the cost of all of his Reiatsu, for ten posts Faust's Black Halo expands to encompass an Area of 300 Yards, Anyone within 300 yards of Faust who becomes trapped within this Halo would notice instantly the skies would become black, all the power around them would go out and it would be dark. During this ten post phase, Faust gains +40 to every stat, however after using Epica, Faust is unable to call upon Bankai for at least three more threads.
Passive Abilities:
Active Knowledge: So long as at least Memento Mori's Shikai is called any special attack (Example: Getsuga Tensho) that hits Faust, he gains the knowledge of how powerful it was and what the conditions are for its use as well as how to gauge more powerful attacks of the same kind. This does NOT mean that Faust knows an attack before it happens! It merely means he can figure out the attack and its strength just before it is used not while an opponent is planning on using it.

March of Mephisto
In Faust's darkest hour, Mephisto made his way though out the town and found a woman who bare a striking resemblance to Faust's fallen lover. Mephisto used this woman and took her to Faust trying to manipulate Faust's mind and the woman would be the catalyst to overcome Faust's mental state by an overwhelming physical pleasure.
It was a most sadistic seduction, Mephisto seduced Faust's mind and will into living and abandoning his faith and love. The woman sudeced Faust's body and in a joint effort they over came his sorrow if only temporarily.
When the Lights are Down
With the two pronged seduction complete, Mephisto temporarily gained power over Faust's very will and Faust slept with the woman.
The Haunting
Faust is left to explain to the woman what had happened the best he can. He has to first explain to the woman that he saw here merely has a shadow of his fallen love and he could never love her as he loved Helena. Faust urges her to leave him as he his, and tells her that one day he they might reunite.
Faust then leaves, never to see the woman again.
Soul Society
Tormented by the death of his love and his outcast status of the Shinigami. Faust becomes confused and angry at the very fate he set himself on. How could all that he had set out to do, even with his good intentions have gone so horridly wrong?
Faust couldn't fathom how insignificant all he knew made the Shinigami, or made the Humans for that matter. Or anything, everything was irrelevant if what he'd found out was true, even with his new found powers he gained nothing. All this again only served as a reminder of the death of his love.
Dei Gratia
Faust comes to accept that the greater truths of the Universe must be unknown, and that he will never see them. Here Faust plants the seeds to become infinitely more powerful than he ever though imaginable.
Abandoned
However upon this realization it occurs to Faust that even if he did discover something, he could never return to the Soul Society and inform anyone of these things. Faust in the end would never be able to finish his work.
Confused, Faust calls out for mercy and answers. While Mephisto sleeps Faust leaves the town and crosses out across a snowy field looking for time to think and gain some thought process about what to do now.
This Pain
While he is out, Faust thinks about all that has happened, how everything that happened was his fault. He'd forsaken the two women who'd loved him, killed one and abandoned the other. The pain and guilt he felt was entirely his own and no one else's. Faust knew then he'd have to live up for what he did, just as soon as he came to terms with himself.
Moonlight
Knowing the fate of his soul upon becoming contempt with life, Faust ensures he will not be contempt until he fights Mephisto. Returning finally to town, Faust abandons his Gegai to cross more easily the now melted river he'd crossed before.
Zanpakutou ready, Faust goes to the abandoned temple to face Mephisto and his sins. Knowing that Faust has but one option, repentance, which even now mere repentance was not enough for what he'd done.
Un Assassino Molto Silenzioso
Just before entering the Temple of Mephisto, Faust stops and looks up at the Full Moon and wonders if there is anything other than death and damnation in his future.
The Black Halo
Nothing Ever Dies
In the instant their souls became one an internal war began between Faust and Mephisto. The Darkness and power of Mephisto going against Faust and all his knowledge and newly acquired wisdom.
During this time Faust's body was internally destroyed and rebuilt several times, and Faust had two options. Surrender his body and Soul to Mephisto or overpower him and come what may. Faust defended desperately the second option as an internal revolution in his mind and soul was waged.
Memento Mori
Twelve Tolls for a New Day
Years passed and times changed.

Free Skill: Bankai Mastery
Name: Memento Mori
Description:
-Sealed:
-Shikai:
Call out Phrase: "Mori, Memento Mori."
