Eiko Himura stands at a somewhat of 5 foot eleven and is often mistaken for a teenager due to her snobbish attitude. While she often has an eyepatch on, the eye underneath if seen, is a pure black colour, with a thin white iris leering out from the result of a Kido misfire in her early years as a Shinigami. While she's often encountered in her signature military style clothing, with her zanpaktou located in a black leather sheath hanging from a black belt, she also dons the Captain's haori, but she implements her own unique twist. The haori colors are reversed, being mainly a jet black color, with the Kido Corps insignia in white across the back.

Eiko overall has a calm collected personality, where very little seems to affect her aside from her strong sense of self righteousness, which shows in the fact she is a pacifist, rarely using her zanpaktou unless absolutely necessary.
She often gives most people the cold shoulder, ignoring them or not even acknowledging the fact that they're there, simply brushing by them with her head hung highly, much like the brat of a high noble class. Because of this, Eiko doesn't say much aside from her Kido incantations or a simple direct order to her subordinates, which she prefers to be said a single time because she won't repeat it.
While she normally has a calm but arrogant persona, her methods change when she is pushed. Her anger gets the better of her as she becomes a bit more vocal, biting her lower lip as she engages her adversary with a barrage of Kido spells, still refusing to use her dual zanpaktou to fight unless absolutely required of her or until her temper gets the better of her.

Born to a prestigious family of the Himura, Eiko pretty much had everything given to her as a child, her parents being too busy or unconcerned with her that they just gave her anything she wanted. The closest Eiko ever got to someone was the nanny who had been hired to watch over her, but even then she kept her distance.
It wasn't until Eiko heard news from one of the local group of kids bragging about being accepted in the Shinigami Academy that she began to contemplate the possibility. A month later, she had enrolled into the Academy. In her early years at the Academy, she was constantly scolded by her laidback nature in every subject: Zanjutsu,Enten, Hoho and Kido. She showed the most potential in the area of Kido, being adequate in it while she failed miserably in the other subjects.
Due to her upbringing, Eiko had to make a decision, either train herself to be better or live the way she had for years. She decided for the first option. As Kido was her best area, she focused primarily on that area, skidding by with the others. She trained hard in the area, though numerous backfired on her, most notably a Hadou 32 that had bounced off the tip of her finger the wrong way, hitting herself in the eye, forever causing her to wear the eyepatch she is now seen with.
Despite the numerous mistakes she made, she had become quite sufficient in the art of Kido, even being assigned to the Kido Corps, as her other skills were less then satisfactory. While in the division, she had a bad habit of swiping documents away, teaching herself advanced Kido that most Shinigami never had the chance to see, even to the extent of Forbidden Kido.
Then came time for the Kido Corps most important assignment. Sectioning off an area of Karakura with barriers, Shinigami were called to the situation, deterring humans from the incident which had occurred: the opening of a dimensional rift in the town, which had brought in numerous Gillian, several Shinigami on each one as they attempted to bring the giants down. As Eiko entered the scene against orders of her superiors, her fingers began working quickly to cast advanced Kido, bringing down multiple Gillian where most of the Shinigami couldn't bring down a single one.
This achievement, though she had been in the Kido Corps for many years now, had her recognized as an experienced Kido user, earning her the nickname of the Abyssal Witch, a reference to how cold she had appeared while taking the Gillian down, her reiatsu seemingly darkening the area as she cast her Kidou, showing very little hesitation in disposing of them.
This feat alone saw Eiko rise up over the next several years, eventually becoming the Kido Corps Captain, a position she would not soon replace despite showing no interest in the position to begin with.

Gatsusen takes the form of a single dagger, roughly five inches across the curved blade, which bear the kanji symbol of Serenity across the blade. The hilt is a grooved black ebony colour and is kept in a black leather sheathe, strapped to the left side of Eiko's hips, accessible at any given time.
-Shikai:
Upon releasing Gatsusen via the phrase "Let the moonlight shroud thy path", Gatsusen begins to emit a ghastly fog, as the dagger elongates into a kris made of a bright silver colour whose wavy blade glows with a white light.
-Bankai: Kagemou (Shadow of the Full Moon 陰望)
Upon releasing Gatsusen even further, Eiko mutters the release phrase, "Glance upon the moon and sun and eclipse thy true form, Bankai, Kagemou." Eiko's form is then consumed by her own reiatsu, her hair becoming a ghastly white color as a surge of white reiatsu shoots upwards into the sky. A full moon comes into view as it moves in front of the the sun, creating a solar eclipse. Eiko's reiatsu then dims down, drawing in light, as the surrounding area becomes darker. The passive ability Nise no Misuterī is then initiated as Gatsusen's kris form dissipates,as the sigil below appears across the surface of her covered eye, noticeable only if she removes her eyepatch.
Spirit Description:
A large black panther makes up the spirit of Gatsusen. The cat's eyes are a silver colour with narrow black slits looming out from the cat's constant gaze. Across the right eye, a white scar in the shape of a crescent moon shows. Gatsusen himself rarely speaks, mainly preoccupied with pacing back and forth as he surveys Eiko with a calm yet menacing demeanor.
When the cat does speak, it is often to forewarn Eiko of some impending disaster or merely to toy with her emotions, playing with her weaknesses until content.
Inner World:
Eiko's Inner world takes on the appearance of a modern area city filled with skyscrapers, yet possessing no life aside from the occasional black cat and white dove which is believed to the spirits of Gatsusen. The most interesting thing of the city is that it is cast under the constant shadow of the solar eclipse looming in the sky.
Attacks:
By rotating her released zanpaktou in a slow arc like motion, a state of partial hypnosis affects the target, as up to 15 waves of concentrated reiatsu formed into the shape of falling lotuses, begin to rotate around the target. Upon Eiko's wish, a designated number of the lotus cease rotating.
Upon ceasing, the lotus will then increase rotation speed in the opposite direction, before their petals scatter, slicing into the target.
The lotuses are only seen by those who saw the movements of Eiko's blade earlier, those who didn't will remain oblivious to the fact the lotuses are there.
While in Bankai, Eiko has access to a new variation of Shunpo. If Eiko has a clone available within flash step range, she can swap positions with it, by a process of rapidly dispersing her reiatsu into a mist, as she enters one of her Gen'ei's body. turning her original body into just another Gen'ei while she remains unharmed.
Incantation: "Disperse thyself and become naught more then a shadow walking under thy embrace of twilight."
Upon ushering the incantation, Eiko's body dissolves into a mist form, unaffected by any physical contact, including zanpaktous, Enten,etc while she remains in an incorporeal from. The downside is, in order to cast Kido or any of her any abilities aside from MirāJushifuto which she has full access to, a portion of her body must be rematerialized as the technique is cast. This technique may only be activated as soon as the mist activates from Nise no Misuterī subsiding.
Upon entering Bankai, Eiko may make up to five images of herself. Each image possesses all of Eiko's stats, and remain indiscernible as far as which one the real Eiko is, each one moving independently through a psychic link with Eiko's zanpaktou. The mirages may also be used in conjunction with Mirājushifuto to switch herself among her clones.
While the clones are merely illusions, Eiko's Bankai makes them capable of acting as though they possess a quarter of Eiko's total stats, and can inflict harm as though they were real, even to the extent of each clone being able to cast Kido. Any stat reading on them will give the same 50 base stats due to Eiko's Purezensu Mukei passive ability.
Passive Abilities:
As Eiko enters Bankai, her body enters a perpetual state of both light and darkness, as her abilities peak. While in this state, Eiko can manipulate the reiatsu radiating from her body to engulf the area between herself and her foe in a distance equivalent to half Eiko's current Reiatsu count in feet.
The affected area will darken as the looming mirage of a full moon looms in the sky overhead, slowly eclipsing the sun as the area is cast into shadows. From outside the affected area, it would appear that the area is in an unnatural shadow, the eclipse being unseen from outside.
Under these conditions, Eiko can apply her reiatsu to create illusions around her, altering the landscape to however she desires, targeting the opponent's sensory organs as every illusion will act as though real. Eiko often chooses moments from her past or nightmares that plague the opponent should she know about them in depth. However, Eiko can only form inanimate objects as illusions or disguise her Gen'ei clones as another individual, though they still will possess a quarter of Eiko's total stats. While conjuring up an illusion, Eiko often places her palms together, focusing her reiatsu into creating the illusion through what seems like a form of prayer.
This technique initiates itself automatically upon releasing into Bankai, and lasts for roughly six posts before going dormant. The solar eclipse looming overhead remains however, as any of the illusions cast from this ability disperse into a mist, filling the area until Bankai is sealed.
As a result of her twilight and illusion based abilities, Eiko's body remains intangible to others while released. Her reiatsu remains constantly hidden to those around her and is undetectable to those without such detection abilities, including tricking devices used to analyze an individual's stats, instead giving the devices an inaccurate reading of base stats of 50, the typical amount for a spiritually aware human.
