Personality: Kurayami does not invoke fights, but he has no qualms about being in them or ending them in death. He seems rather calm and happy no matter what the situation, he also jokes around and can at least seem to get along with anyone. He carries out any missions quickly, but if the situation calls for it he can put into play what he thinks the right thing is, however this does not happen often.
Family: Orphan from birth and was never adopted, so for all he knows he has a huge family he doesn't know about.

History: Kurayami was born not knowing his family, and lived in orphanages for his entire life. When he was 18 and forced out onto the streets, he lived most of his life wondering from town to town looking for a place to stay or food to live off of. He never asked for handouts, but instead always asked if he could do work for his food or living quarters. He did most of his work for the elderly or people with some form of handicap, he had other work but not much because most people would not even look twice at a homeless person, let alone invite him into there home. He didn't have much in his life, but that just made it much easier to see good things or good people.
One warm summer night, shortly after his birthday, he was carrying groceries for an elderly woman and her young granddaughter. As they walked and laughed, several men came from the shadows of a nearby ally and surrounded them. The elderly woman held her granddaughter close and looked around at the men terrified, but willing to lay down her life for her granddaughter. Kurayami watched the old womans courage and made a silent decision for himself as he put the groceries on the ground. Kurayami fought off the gang so the two could get away unharmed, making sure that he gave them enough time to get far away. He fought until he was shot in the back by a downed thug.
Once the bullet hit him he went into a fury and killed the men with quick decisive shots from the very gun that had shot him. As his vision blurred, he dropped the gun and picked up the groceries. He fought forward for several blocks until he found the house the old lady said she lived at and knocked on the door. The woman opened the door with a gun pointed it at him, still willing to do anything to protect her grandchild. Once she laid eyes on him, she dropped the gun and hugged him despite the blood on him, they both knew there was no saving him. He handed the groceries over to the old lady with a smile and died on her porch, filling at home for the first time in his life, the lady buried him, and gave him a funeral in her back yard. The yard was not big enough for all the people that showed up when they got word of his death.
When he came to, he was in the west rukongai. It was here that he found his own home and many friends. He worked hard everyday and helped anyone who asked him for help. He was helping build a new home for a family who had died in a car crash and needed the room quick. He was on the roof eating his lunch when he heard a scream from the back of the house. He looked in the backyard and laid eyes on a hollow that was about to attack the families children. He looked around and found his hammer, he lifted it and jumped from the house to the back of the hollow and began to smash his head in to protect the children.
The hollow threw him off his back and into a tree with a hard thud, knocking the hammer out of his hand. The hollow stalked toward him as he sat at the bottom of the tree and watched, his eyes looking around until he saw the children once more. He knew that if he died so would those kids and he could not let that happen. He looked over to his tools and saw a box of nails laying open. He waited until the hollow lunged for him before he rolled out of the way and dashed for the nails. The hollow turned and ran after him, but was met with a barrage of nails to his face, shaped in a cross, and even taking out his eyes for good measure. The hollow screamed in agony and racked at it's face, Kurayami took advantage of this and jumped from the side of the house through the air and kicked the nails into the hollows skull, making him vanish.
The children ran to there parents and hugged them as they thanked him for saving their children's lives from the beast. From around the house, the what was current 8th Division Captain and two of his underlings came to respond to the hollow call. When they asked where the hollow was and found out what happened, they spoke with Kurayami and asked him to join Soul Society Academy, he accepted. He enrolled and finished in just a few short years, getting his highest marks in precision and marksmanship.
His Zanpakuto was a little different than most of the other Shinigami, for his turned into eight revolver's rather than another blade form. He trained everyday when he had down time ever improving until he mastered his bankai while training with the 8th Division Captain. That very day he was promoted to lieutenant and was respected by his Captain more than ever. He began to go out on every mission he could, and listened to his captain's every words. He was almost the perfect soldier and teammate.
During the Great War he fought a great many enemies and killed them all. He followed his Captain into more than one hard fight, but the two always came out on top. This continued until toward the end of the war when they were being overrun by shear numbers. It was this battle that the two barley made it out, however, his Captain was dealt a fatal blow. The 1st Division Captain himself found they two, but despite his efforts the Captain was going to die. The Captain's last words were for the 1st Division Captain to let Kurayami take his place, and explained that he was qualified and deserved it. The 1st Division Captain honored his wish and Kurayami was made 8th Division Captain, right after Saito moved to a different division, it was made official.

Fire=burn's when bullet makes contact due to the minerals that cause fire being pulled into each newly made bullet (air, wood, spark, etc), ice=freezes spot completely through and kills tissue from expulsion of nitro glycerin, lighting=goes through objects when liquid and ice particles above the freezing level collide and fire outward, wind=expels wind in a concentrated blast, rock=impale from earth being formed into a spike shape, water=slows hit area reaction and movements through increased efforts of movement and exertion, darkness=restrains hit body part through shadow restraints that attach to nearby objects, light=blinds for short time due to great concentrated light burst that moves forward and expands like a wave coming from the gun.

The eight guns meld together into two guns, a black one, and a white one. Black gun causes matter and energy to collapse in on itself causing implosions, white gun causes explosions when bullet comes into contact with solid matter, such as a body or the ground, etc.

The explosions can take a layer of skin off from the lowest point of contact with the chemicals to taking off an entire limb based on the object hit. The amount of damage able to be dealt is based on Reiatsu and described below;
50+ Reiatsu Over Opponent:Kurayami is superior in reiatsu the strength is equivalent to Hado #88 Hiryugekizokushintenraiho. (Size is foot and a half wide sphere.)
