Name: Chiaki Koumei
Alias: Hazard
Age: Real: 159 Appearance: 18
Gender: Female
Faction: Shinigami
Rank: 2nd Division3rd seat Vice-Captain
PvP Availability: Pm for Permission
Description:
Height: 5'4
Weight: 120
Hair: Layered, Bright red, longest layer goes to her waist, long bangs framing her face
Eyes: Gold
Body: She is slim but muscled.
Reiatsu Color: Fiery Red
Personality:
Chiaki is very laid back and doesn't tend to have issues with her temper. This being said, she's not very confrontational. She'll fight when it's necessary but she will never start a physical fight without thinking it through.
The quickest way to hit her buttons is to wear down her limited patience. She has self control, but the faster you get to the point when talking to her, the better. Another button push is unnecessary chatter while in a fight. She believes talking in a fight slows her down and distracts her.
People who are apathetic or don't stand for anything irks her as well. She can't understand how anyone can live without caring for something or having anything worth fighting for.
She enjoys breathing the fresh air and doing as she pleases, but she understands that freedom is left for a time when her duties have been fulfilled. She enjoys sparing in her free time because it's a great way to meet and learn about people and their abilities. When she fights she's not so laid back. Something in her soul awakens and she's a fiery ball of quick thinking and hard hits.
Chiaki is fiercely loyal and quick to defend others. While she enjoys having some time alone she's not a loner. She'll find someone to talk to and laugh with, or even help someone who just needs to talk.
She also tries to be sure to show respect to those of higher status than her, and even to those who are equal, if they deserve it.
When her patience is tested, she has a look of irritation or boredom, but most the rest of the time she's got a soft and easy smile or smirk that tries to makes others feel comfortable and is inviting.
While she is small she has no misgivings about it. She thinks it helps her move faster and blend in when needed. Picking on her for her size gets no rise out of her. She is comfortable as she is.

History:
Chiaki ran up the stairs, flight after flight. She had run out of breath several floors down but she pressed on, and every other time a foot landed on the next higher step and pushed her up she inhaled sharply and exhaled on the next. Her heart raced from adrenaline, lack of oxygen, self-doubt, fear, concern- she felt there was a different emotion for every step she took. The longer it took her to climb the more certain she was that she was too late.
Just five more flights... Four... Three... Two...
Her shoulder hit the door leading to the roof, perhaps a bit too hard. Chiaki cursed under her breath. This had to be the only time she regretted being small. She pushed at the door and forced it open and stumbled onto the roof, as she gripped her shoulder in pain.
The burst of fresh, cold air hitting her face rejuvenated her strength, at least a little bit. She looked around in dusky light, trying to get her bearings. And there to her left she saw the man that she had come here for. Her heart skipped a few beats in a startled realization that she may not be too late.
A cry tore from her throat, "Please! Don't do it!" she ran toward the man as he inched closer to the edge at her close voice.
"Why are you here? Stay away!" He yelled back. His eyes wide with terror and red with dried tears.
"Please, think of something, anything, worth living for. You can go on and be strong with a purpose in your life!" Her lungs hurt and each breath she took to speak to the man hurt too. All she had to do was delay him if she couldn't derail him from his suicide course completely. The police should have been showing up soon. She crept closer and hoped to pull him back as he looked over the edge.
"Nothing. I have nothing. There is nothing left to fight for, I have no more fight in--" his body jerked violently when he felt a hand lightly grab his elbow. He pulled his arm away and stumbled on the edge. Even against his instincts and self hate, he turned an reached out for something to grab onto.
I had reached out, shocked when he pulled away so violently. I hadn't had time to move my hand and he grabbed it tightly and desperately. Her weight wasn't enough to hold him, nor was her stance strong enough to stop his twisting fall. Instead, she was pulled with him, over the edge.
His cowardice would lead to both of their deaths on the concrete sidewalk far below. But the shock of death did not sink in so quickly.
Chiaki stood, the world around her a little strange. She saw paramedics arrive on the scene and quickly looked to the top ledge of the building, expecting to see a man there. There was nothing. Looking back to the paramedics she froze in confusion; they checked the broken neck and body of a girl who looked just like her. She was pronounced dead on the scene and Chiaki could only yell out at them, "I'm not dead! I'm standing right here! Just look at me!" she was angry and confused, her hands balled into fists as she yelled at the taller paramedics and police to no avail.
"Calm yourself. You have to be calm and accept what's happened to cross over. At least by my hand." A voice behind her spoke, the voice was trying to be calming. As Chiaki looks over she sees what she can only describe as an unarmored samurai, who was clearly looking at her.
After a short discussion, the Shinigami sent her soul to Soul Society, where all the memories of her death faded.
After she reawakened in Soul Society, Chiaki learned that the best way to get out of the simple life that seemed to stretch before her, and all those around her, was to take up the life of the sword.
With fierce determination to make something of her life, she entered the Academy. Six years of her life was poured into studying and training. She excelled in hand to hand combat and near the end of her academy life she applied to enter the 2nd division. There were a few others with her and old Taicho didn't really seem to look through the applications when he accepted them.
Quite a few years passed and Chiaki continued to train. She hadn't managed to catch anyones attention, especially her old Taicho. He was barely there and when he was there he had no time for his divisions lower seats.
Chiaki sparred with anyone she could, Taichos, Lt's, and even other lower seats. She believed they were all equal when sparring, and even though she may lose that each opponent had something to teach her. Be it about technique, hers or theirs, or a new way to fight, a way to move faster; the list went on.
One day, inexplicably, her Taicho and the lieutenant was gone. There was no one to take orders from and no one to see to. The Commander General took temporary and loose control on the division and quickly appointed a new Taicho. Perhaps now her efforts wouldn't be ignored or overlooked.
Skills
Free Skill: Kido Deflection
Name: Kiripatsu
Description:
-Sealed:
The uncalled version of the Zanpakutou appears to be a purple Katana.
-Shikai:
When the Shikai is called the Katana shrinks into a Kodachi. The blade's length makes for good defense but still allows the user a high amount of skill defensively. The true power of the Shikai however is not in the actual blade, but rather in the magical properties it allows Chiaki to use.
The Shikai's power Tri-shot is expressed through what appears to be spell casting. At the Shikai state the spells are limited to easily defined basic geometric objects. Cubes, rectangles, triangles, and sphere's mostly. The Shikai can create these objects anywhere it pleases including around people's bodies to prevent them from moving. Likewise the Shikai can also define the characteristics of these objects. These characteristics are size, strength, where the object appears and if it acts more like a solid or more elastic like a trampoline.
However once these shapes are formed they can only be uncreated, their characteristics cannot be changed. For example the shapes can also be destroyed by someone with the appropriate strength, avoided by someone with the appropriate speed, or simply spiritually overwhelmed by someone with enough Reiatsu.
However the inherit weakness of the weapon is also its strength allowing often times multiple spells to be called upon at once and at later levels of power even determine how a spell forms or in one direction.
-Bankai:
When the Bankai is called the Kodachi from the Shikai form vanishes complete. Instead on Chiaki's right hand a symbol appears. This symbol is the bond between the Zanpakutou and Chiaki. Bankai has all the abilities of Shikai however it is different in that it is incredibly powerful defensively.
For example when energy or shock waves are launched at an elastic version of the Shapes they can bounce the energy back at the target. Likewise the speed, accuracy, and durability of the shapes have also increased. The Bankai unlike the Shikai form also has the ability to Multi-Spell or Layer Spell.
Layered Spells use the same concept as a multi-spell however the more advanced dynamics of Bankai Spells (see attacks) are also included.
Finally the Bankai also has increased shapes it can create. More advanced geometrical patters like cylinders can be created or large asterisk like shapes. Basically the Bankai can create any shape as long as it has geometrical definition and Chiaki has the spiritual ability to use it.
Spirit Description:
Kiripatsu is generally a kind guardian. He can get feisty every now and then, but it seems like he's trying to guide Chiaki through fears that hold her back, whether she knows it does or not. He is several feet taller than Chiaki and has a hulkish demeanor about him. When he's not fighting or trying to force Chiaki to do something he moves very slowly and with a purpose. A slow magma seems to flow around him and parts of his body will catch fire from time to time.
Inner World: Kiripatsu's realm is very ironic or contrasting to his appearance. It's a beautiful area surrounded by waterfalls. The cliffs are high and near endless. There isn't a place around that doesn't lead to a cliff. Many pillars come up out the near endless water and there's the constant roar of falling water. The air is thick with errant mist and can be hard to breathe.
Attacks:
Shikai: Tri-shot: This attack allows up to three spells to be called at a time. Upon calling these spells they will shoot up to three feet in a given direction towards an enemy. Should they hit they will penetrate the enemy.
Bankai:
Layered Spell: This allows the user to use multiple spells with multiple effects on an enemy.
Multi Spell: This allows the user to use multiple spells on a person. These spells can be cast right on top of each other, and they can also be spread out on different parts of the body.
Passive Abilities:
Dynamic Spells: Dynamic Spells purely indicates that spells when cast or created may have the effects of: Temperature (hot or cold), Pain, Vacuum, Condensing, Preventing Entry (of defined object, can also be defined as people/spirits), One sided Entry (can enter a spell but not exit), Elastic, and reflective. All these effects are subject to the same rules that govern the spells. It is important to note that the creation of these spells either governs the walls of the spell or the inside and this MUST be specified.
Body Spells: Body Spells are spells that have been cast through an entity's body. It is important to note that while one can cast a spell around someone's heart, this spell cannot hinder blood flow. However if the spell is cast around joints, or on one's arms or legs the spell could prevent that joint from moving because its much less complex. Likewise a Spell cast on someone's body and then through an inanimate object such as a building would work equally well as a snare.
The Larger the Weaker: A Simple rule governing the size and strength of a spell. The Larger the Spell the more it can hold obviously, however it also becomes easier to break, more taxing on Chiaki to create, and less stable.
The more rapid the less accurate: Another rule stating that if one were to use many multi-spells they would not be very accurate.
Spell Breaks: This is finally the limit to all spells. If Reiatsu is 50 or more they can completely dissolve the spell. If Speed is 40 or more, the Spell can be dodged. If Attack is 40 or more the Spell can be easily destroyed, if the attack is also 80 or more the person can simply walk through the spells as if they weren't there. This is maintained through both the Shikai and Bankai state.
