Shani stands at the height of 5'8 and weighs about 160. He is very pale, and mostly looks sick all the time. His eyes are a soft blue. His hair a light brown color. The front is kept neat as the back is more spike like looking and goes to about shoulders in length. He wears his normal robes as a captain should. His jacket is custom with the inner color not blue but a soft purple. His sword is on his one hip and kept on him at all times.
Marking him into the Kururugi family he wears a ring on his right hand index finger what has the crest on the centre of it. On the side note He also adds to his look having a deep blue sash around his waist, what is said to be worth more then a shinigami vice captains pay in six months.

Personality:
Begin Born in a noble family, Shani learned to be a hard ass right away, And to keep his emotions shut when at the job. When working Shani is very cool tempered and seems to be a very different person then how he looks would act. His voice is like someone in control and one who would give orders to his underlings. All around he is a well respected man and looks at every one the same way. Common class nothing more then just tools. Even his clothing he wears he finds cheap and un sure he should even wear such rags.
Though all around He respects few people and some what looks at them as good people and high class like him self. One begin his half blood brother Saito and a few other captains in the gotei of course. Out side of work Shani is more upbeat and some what comes out of his shell and jokes or even plays head games on people. Though most people don't see this. Since normally he does this at his home state. Only Kururugi and guests are aloud to enter the grounds.

The Start
Shani was born into one of the 4 top noble family's the Kururugi Family, Though he was told at a young age he would never hold the title of begin the head of the family. For one reason only, He was to happy all the time and liked playing around when he was a little boy. At the time his grandfather was the head of the family and was the captain of the 6th Division. Shani looked up to this man and tried to get close to his grandfather but was always thrown away. And forgotten in hes eyes. Where he brought in by his father and grandmother, and was raised by them.
When he was a teenager he started on his inner workings how he would be the head of the family. Like his dad he had all the traits of the Kururugi family, Brown hair, and the ice like eyes. And for some reason begin very pale. To hold the rank of head family the head must wear the ring on one of there fingers. Knowing this he would wait until he became the right age and at the right title. Begin the only child and none of his cousins could touch the rank iit was all set that he would become the head.
Years went by and Shani still worked, on becoming this spot. Though his granddad always shot him down saying he would never be in the right spot to hold the title of the family. They held law and class in all Soul society and was highly looked at by every one.
His father brought Shani to the shinigami Academy and signed him in to start the classes. At the same time he was at the registration office for this school he seen another young man, a much younger man then himself. He didn't talk to the man and just walked out of the office after all the paper work was done.
The School days
The first year was the hardest for Shani he had to learn how to not joke around with his teachers, So after the first year he became a hard ass and shows that he was noble, not really talking to anyone but just listening to what his teachers would say.
A few times during school his grandfather would come by and check on the new students seeing how they are doing, Of course they always talked big about some kid named Saito. At the time he didn't care and just did his work. He showed off during his kido and foot work classes, showing he was more of a pro then anyone in the classes. Though his teachers always said look at the to be head of the Kururugi family. Though this made him happy to hear but hated it at the same time.
The last year was yet again super easy, he was the best foot worker and best Kido user in the school, also with his sword combat he was tied with the kid Saito. He just seemed not to bother with anyone and after the schooling was done. And he had gained his sword. He seemed to have a new bright look in his grandfathers eyes.
At that time His granddad brought two of the top students into the sixth division. Shani as vice captain and Saito as the 3rd seat. Though still his granddad seemed to favor this lesser person more then his own blood.
Becoming Head and Becoming the new captain
Shani for about 50 years served under his grand dad and seemed to be making good progress getting to under stand him, and see why he hated Shani so much. It wasn't so much hate, he just disliked how he could act at home and then at work, His grand dad gave him the name the snake for him able to change how he was and become a true noble at work and seem to be getting looked up at by all the officers under him.
Though he had a few problems with Saito, begin a lesser class his granddad seemed to train him personally and taking him under his arm something Shani never got.His dad had trained him, and showed him and made him master his style of the Kururugi family sword style. But he new, that the master of it would be the head. And Saito a common class was getting this. This of course bugged him, and really came off in his work, seeming to be more fight full and show off his skills with his shikai.
After a few more years under his grand father he started training and gaining the next step he would need. His grand father was talking about stepping down from captain and doing that. He would also give up the title. So Shani needed to become more power full so he could sit at the top of this division and make sure Saito wouldn't be brought to the captain spot.
So after training and beating his spirit in a fight, how he gained his bankai, he then started to train it and began to start trying to master it. Though as time went by he didn't need it, he had so much respect from all the members in the 6th division all he needed was to appoint his grand father.
So he did, he came to his grandfather and talked to him, Making sure he under stood everything he was saying, that he was ready to have that title and up hold the title of the family. After talking him into to it. His granddad agreed to this and told him when the time comes Shani would become head and taicho of this division, he just needed to do one more job.
At this time he didn't question his grandfather and seemed to just waited for the word of taking the spot. That night at the dinner table His grand dad brought in Saito into the room and declared that he was bringing him into the family as his grand son, meaning Saito become Shani's half brother. A common person a noble. That made him upset. but he didn't show it. he welcomed His dear under ling to the family. And seemed not to bothered about it.
That night he also was given all rains to the Head of the family given the ring. That morning the hole noble family's found out that Shoken Kururugi has stepped down from his spot and gave it to the oldest and only heir to the spot. Shani Kururugi. Also with this Shoken also told the Commander general Shani was best suited for the Sixth division captain. And Saito for the 8th. This he didn't find out until later in time.
After becoming captain he changed the jacket and his look all around. Giving him the new lights of this division. He has been captain of the law division for about 20 years. And has made a name for his power and how he up holds the law by everyone around him. Though he still rivals with his half brother Saito, But its all games.

Description:
-Sealed: As seen in the picture of Shani's look Mizuame sealed form is a simple Katana. The guard is a gold color and seems to be water drop with points at the end in look. The sheath of the blade is also the same blue as the handle. And half way down the sheath there are gold markings and at the end its ended with a gold tip.
-Shikai:
Call out phrase; To the depths; Mizuame
The sword it self does not change with its sealed form, the blade just seems to be covered in a water film, just a thin one. About 3 inchs all around the blade. Its more of a area what happens, rain clouds seem to cover the area Shani is in. About 200 feet where he stands and moves when he does. And when released it begins to rain softly.
-Bankai:
Call out phrase; Bankai Drag Them To The Depths; Mizuami Sune-ku
Shani's blade vanishes from all sight as the area around him begins to down pour in rain, dark clouds in the sky begin to circle around where Shani stands under neath, and a storm starts, Then around Shani water begins to swirl around him, It seems nothing really changes his sealed sword sheathed on his hip. His eyes glowing deep blue. In the bankai state he can control all the water around him. (much like Byakuya in his bankai state) He can form the water into anything he wishes and strike his foes.
Spirit Description:
Minus the teddy bear/cat stuffie animal.
Mizuami is some what nothing like its owner. He is very childish and likes to play games and just acts like a kid. Though all that aside he is very proud, and speaks to Shani more like a friend then an ally in battle. His voice is not what you would think looking at him. He has a voice much like his master, smooth and commanding.

Higyou: Shani swings his blade down and by saying its name he sends off a wave of powerful water, what is 4 feet in width and 8 feet in height.
Hatashiai: Shani is able to wrap the water around his blade to his other hand, and with this he is able to throw the attack much like a whip wrapping around a target, becoming more solid then water is usually. Of course Shani still is holding to the other end. This attack is more of a binding then a out right attack. (this can be broken out of, if your reiatsu is 50 higher then his own)
Bankai attacks
His bankai doesn't really have any real attacks, its more of he can control the water he has around him and attack as he wishes and even defend with it. The attacks of course are as fast as he moves his arms and hands, to control the water, if he makes a slow movement its more for a defending attack then a fast strike attack.Though all this aside. He does have one attack in this form what does have a name. Also when released into this form water begins to down pour all around him, around about 2000 gallons of water, With him able to control it. Though this said, he is able to control other sources of water, like another user of water or even ice, he is able to change the ice to water, and use it as his own.
Final Strike: By drawing his sword on his side, the water all around him fades away, and seems to be absorbed by the sword it self. Shani's eyes seem to glow bright white. and all the bankai power he has, goes into this one swing. He can only use this power once every 10 days. and it only lasts for one swing of his sword, but it has the power of his bankai released all at once. Its something he shows when he has said he well kill you with his own hands. (The power of this ability is based purely on his Attack stat and it adds plus 50 to that stat, when used he drops out of bankai.)
Passive Abilities:
The passive for his sword is thew same for both shikai and bankai, when he is in either one, a rain storm begins, and for every 10 posts going by the down pour of rain picks up. so at the start its a gentle rain, 10 posts in it becomes a more straight down rain. 10 more posts on that it becomes like a rain storm and the water is beaming down. Giving Shani the power to become more hard to see and sense.
