He has a little bit of scruff on his face as he sees no real reason to shave. Kai has a hazel colored eye color.
Kai wears the standard shinigami robes with a long sleeve on his right arm and a short sleeve on his left arm. He hides his Zanpakutou within the sleeve on his right arm as it is attached by a band to his arm. His leggings change at different times. If he is working on a dangerous project he most likely has his legs colored, but when he is in a fight they seem to be cut off.

Kai is the kind of man who loves to cause pain and misery to a person. He loves to here their screams of pain as he hurts them. Often times Kai hides his sadistic personality, but when he is given an opportunity to torture a man or listen to him scream he takes it as quick as possible. When Kai tries to act normal he is often rather quiet and people mistake it for being shy. He actually just doesn’t feel the need to say anything.
Very few people catch Kai’s attention as being worthy of living. Most of the time those people are his superiors in twelfth division. He some what worships his division’s captain and looks at him as a god. Kai does not want to become a captain however he believes that it would give him good access to materials he may want. He plans to become a lieutenant, but captain has to many other responsibilities.
Kai likes to torture people slowly and let them suffer for days on end. He also likes to spend most of his time working on a project as that is his favorite past time. Except for maybe murder. Kai does not try to hide the fact that he is insane. The only time Kai maybe shy is when he is around a new person which often he likes to probe their minds to see what they are like.
Kai has no exact specialty as he is smart in most aspects. Kai often talks to himself as if someone else is there and carries conversations with himself. Often he uses himself as a lab partner and very rarely needs anyone else to help him.

Kai’s mother went into labor eighty six years ago. Unfortunately for her he was born still. He was quickly found by a shinigami and sent off to the Soul Society. His soul found itself in sixtieth district west Rukongai. He was not bad off and actually had a pretty interesting time. He got to “experiment” on all sorts of things. Like people for instance. He’d often knock them unconscious tie them up and gag them than cut them open alive and watch their insides work. Often times his subjects died when he started to extract their hearts with knives, but he always got the heart and enjoyed holding them in his hands as they beat a few times before they stopped.
Kai’s favorite thing to do was to cut things open an experiment on people. “I wonder what would happen if I replaced this organ… with a organ from a jackal?” He often changed around people’s organs than killed them afterwards. Kai was rather insane and when he found out about the gotei he burned down where he did his experiments and went to take the entrance exam and passed with flying colors.
When Kai was an official student he was really good with kido classes however his sword classes was where he lacked. Swords… Just didn’t entertain him. It was all about kido and blowing things up. He made the advanced class for kido and was nearly perfect in it. After six years at the academy he had done no experiments. It almost made him cry a few times. After graduating they placed him in seventh division. Originally he hated it than he realized he could torture people and say it was to extract information. People never paid attention to what he did and they never paid attention to if he ever let them back out into Rukongai.
After a year he asked for a transfer to twelfth division and when they accessed his IQ they agreed and moved him to the twelfth division. They quickly accepted him and he was given the rank of fifth seat almost instantly.

Description:
-Sealed: Goumon in it’s sealed state is nothing more than a foot long blade. It is razor sharp and hides within Kai’s right sleeve attached to his arm. The handle is a silver color and the guard along with it. The sheath matches that color however it is very rarely seen by anyone other than Kai.
-Shikai: “Show them our insanity, Goumon” -Locked-
Kai's shikai seems to be somewhat of a liquid metal type thing. The blade is encased in Kai's silver reiatsu and when it disapears the blade is manipulated with his mind. THe blade remains like a standard blade until Kai decides to use it. The sword melts down is able to be shot at an opponent at any random moment. The liquid can become hard at any moment and can make a shield against things that seek to harm Kai. It can also be used to cut things at any random time. When Kai's using his shikai in the liquid way he is completely open for an attack. However Kai can have it harden and return to blade for at a moments notice.
-Bankai: “Bankai” Omoi Goumon (Mind Torture) -Locked-
When Kai releases into bankai his blade that is inside his body appears on the outside of his forearm of each arm. It runs from the elbow down to the wrist and covers his hand in a silver metal. Over the fingers it makes claws that are razor sharp. His outfit changes and the top of his shinigami garbs is thrown off of him. His release does little to nothing and is nothing much to fear until you mess up and fall into his real ability.
Spirit Description:
Goumon is rather stoic character to be around however when Kai is around him he feels as though some thing is not right with him and that he is insane. Goumon says very little however when he does it is one of two things, very insightful or very disturbing.
Inner World:
Kai’s inner world is that of an abandoned asylum. It is filled with dirty rooms with tools littering the floor. Often times out of the corner of your eyes you can see Goumon shifting around. When you turn to look at him Goumon is never there. The asylum goes on forever and there is no where you can go to escape it.
Attacks:
Illusion Level 1:
When Kai releases his shikai if he is able to cut you even once even the most shallow of cuts the two are instantly placed in an illusion where Kai controls every second of it. The only way to escape it is to either have a reiatsu with sixty points or higher. The alternate escape is to be touched by someone outside of the illusion. The illusion if undisturbed lasts for a total of three posts and is a rather basic psychedelic illusion with various colors and things. Somewhat like your in a negative colored rainbow that keeps flashing and tends to mess with peoples minds. This illusion can be used multiple times in any release and has no side affects on Kai. This illusion does no damage to the body, but it hurts the opponents mind and weakens it. Feels like an hour when in truth only one second.
Illusion Level 2:
Much like the first illusion any cut is sufficient. The ways to escape are the same as the first illusion. This time however the target finds themselves in a battle against monsters in blackness, that just won’t stop coming and each time you kill one you watch someone who they are close to be viciously killed in front of their eyes. This illusion is usable as many times as he likes and only lasts for four posts. This illusion does no damage to the body, but it hurts the opponents mind and weakens it. Feels like an hour when in truth two seconds.

This is Kai’s most powerful shikai illusion. The ways to enter it are the same and the ways to escape are the same. This illusion lasts for six posts. During this time they are locked in a chair where they can’t move a muscle with their mouth gagged. From afar they watch themselves being dissected alive just like Kai used to do. However at the same time they are being dissected and they feel the pain. This illusion causes a lot of stress and those with a reiatsu lower by 60 or lower than they are put into a coma like state that lasts five posts. This ability weakens the mind a lot. This can be used once in one shikai release however in bankai it can be used three times. Feels as though hours have gone by when in reality three seconds.

This is a bankai level illusion and this is where the illusions to physical damage as well as mental. To enter this Kai has to make eye contact or cut the target. The ways to escape are the same. This puts the person in an illusion where they can’t move for some unknown reason. They watch as Goumon appears from nowhere and plunges a sword through him for one hundred stabs. This illusion seriously makes the target seriously believe he is being stabbed. Much like in level 3 it puts the targeted into a mini like coma that lasts for just as long. The user however when he comes out is often in major pain as their body thinks they have been stabbed one hundred times. The pain and illusions effects last for three posts after the illusion ends. This illusion is usable three times in one release however it begins to tire Kai out after to many uses. Feels like it takes thirty minutes when in reality it takes about one second.

This is a bankai illusion that does physical and mental damage. To enter this Kai has to make eye contact or cut his opponent. Ways to escape are the same. This attack is the only illusion that causes Kai to take damage. This illusion lasts four posts and makes the both Kai and the targeted sit through an insatiable flame. Kai and the target are forced to sit and not move and make no noise. However if either of them move it causes the pain to grow and than the after effects worsen. After the illusion ends burns appear all over the twos body and steam begins to rise as though they were cooked. This is able to be used as many times as Kai can stand to use it. It seems as though it lasts for days when in reality about a minute.

This is a bankai exclusive and lasts for eight posts. To enter this illusion Kai is forced to get up close and look directly into the target’s eyes and say Dark Illusion forcing them into the illusion. The user is encased in a bright light and when he opens them he is in a place that looks like Kai’s inner world. The targeted is forced to find a way out. Not knowing there is no exit unless Kai wishes to release them. Kai takes the form of Goumon and is able to manipulate the area making them go around in circles for hours. Kai is able to appear from anywhere and tends to make his targets feel as if they are being watched when in truth they are. This feels as though it lasts for six days when in truth it only lasts one second. This ability is usable one time in bankai. After this Kai reverts back to sealed state from exhaustion. This illusion lasts for ten posts. If Kai has used every illusion often enough it causes serious pyschological damage and can even kill someone.
