Name: Yoshimitsu Zen-Kenchi
Alias: none
Age: 4000+ years (appears 70+)
Gender: Male
Faction: Arrancar
Rank: 1st Espada (Uno Espada)
Description: i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh236/Kimimaro_Sasuke_Sasori/TheEspadaMaster.jpg
Personality: He has seen many things, many battles, many deaths, many places, many spectacular things in his long lifetime, killed many people, did many things, went many places. With more than 4000 or more years, emotions mean nothing to this elderly man, this arrancar. A servent to the man without fear.
Happiness vanished long ago witth the death of his wife.
Sadness was destroyed when he became a hollow.
Fear was obliderated when he became a hollow as well.
He never even had a sense of humor, not a laugh, the time in which he was born was not a joyfuul one
Regret and Dispair were killed when he devoured many people and saw many wars, fights, and battles.
On and off the battle-field, he is most often a cool-headed and calm strategic type of person. Cold and methodical are also apt titles for this arrancar. He is the type of person who takes in the entire situation, and weighs the consequences before making a decision. In the past, his fellow arrancar have criticized him for what they perceive as indecisiveness or his unwillingness to charge head-long into a battle. Akira however could not care less what others opinions of him are, he knows that his caution has enabled him to survive where others have perished. Once decided on a course of action, he will calmly carry it out without hesitation or mercy.
Without a clear cut plan of action, if a plan fails or when extremely angered however, he tends to be crass and acts more on instinct and fury then common sense, allowing his killer instinct to overwhelm his better judgment. When this happens, basking in the glory of combat, he loses all focus on anything but destruction until his thirst for battle has been quenched by the blood of his enemies.
Amongst his comrades, he is talkative to an extent, not so forth coming with conversation himself but has no trouble speaking when spoken to. Never an overachiever, but isn't what you would call laid back either, he is the type of person who believes that actions speak louder than words and that one should always be doing something. Akira is disgusted by laziness and stupidity; braggarts are also some of his least favorite people. Displaying any of these traits is likely to put you on his bad side. In this case, he is likely to be very rude or confrontational to the person he sees display them.
Yoshimitsu is also very confident and cocky, and usually will underestimate others due to them being so young and inexperienced. He is one of (if not THE) oldest arrancar/hollow in Hueco Mundo. He is grumpy, and usually seen calling other people, Brats, or young ones.

History: Born thousands of years ago, the world was premature, developing, growing, and expanding. A young boy was born. His name was Yoshimitsu Zen-Kenchi, he grew up spear hunting for wild animals to survive, he had no home. His family was your average, nomadic family, traveling and hunting to survive. This part of his life was normal to the boy. he grew up as he turned 16. He left on his family to wander alone, his age had came, he could survive alone now. He grew up, and found a mate shortly after when he turned 18, yet she died shortly after, by a wild animal while he was off hunting.
Sadened by the loss of his wife the boy never found another mate. He grey older, and older, his skills in fighting becoming very skilled, defined, sharpened and better. He lived a long life back then, he made it to 40 which was unusual for many. He was then, sadly, killed while hunting. His death? Nothing new. Animals killed humans, humans killed animals, the circle of life in many senses. Yet something strange happened.
He was instantly, upon death, painfully, with much agony, transformed. His body and mind warping as quick as the animals he was used to hunting, the hunger growing as fast as the rumbling of thunder. He was now a hollow.
He ate, feasted on the flesh of animals, humans, and other hollows alike, at the time, there was no shinigami acadamy so that meant one thing. No shinigami squads. There were a few stray ones, yet there power against the numbers of hollows were weak. They stayed hidden, away from them all. Not wishing to die again by the beasts of the empty l=limbo called Hueco Mundo.
Yoshimitsu travelled the earth, to devour, to feast, to see, to learn, to grow, to increase, to survive.
Soon the SHinigami grew courage as they charged to face the hollows, a threat now, hollows decided to deal with these shinigami, but their zanpaktou and kidou appeared to be too much of a match to the average hollows. many hollows died, as there numbers went from thousands to a controlled amount.
Over the years he grew, his eyes seen bloodshed daily. Wars, and battles of the humans. The years went by like weeks, as the weeks went on like days. Time seemed shortened.
The Peloponnesian War (431-404 BC). Although Sparta and Athens had fought as allies in the war against the Persians, they were very different. Athens, a fledgling democracy, could boast of being the commercial and cultural centre of Greece – an outward-looking, civilised society where power supposedly lay with the demos – the people. Sparta was a militaristic state ruled by the homoioi, a warrior élite, and propped up by a population of slaves. In 431 BC, Spartans invaded Athenian territory, and 300,000 Athenians crowded into the city for safety. A year later, a plague hit Athens, killing thousands of citizens, including its leader Pericles. Though this was not the case, a plauge was not the cause of these deaths, One by One, for many days and weeks, Yoshimitsu picked off a spartan each day, eating them, devouring them. Sometimes, leaving the body to make it look like sickness had struck the people. Soon everyone was dead, and the plauge was the cause and not him, or so they pathetically assumed.
This made his lust for power greater as he traveled across the lands farther, and faster, in seek for others who would make him stronger, and wiser.
The Persian Wars - 499 BC to 479 BC. In the 5th century BC the vast Persian Empire attempted to conquer Greece. If the Persians had succeeded, they would have set up local tyrants, called satraps, to rule Greece and would have crushed the first stirrings of democracy in Europe. The survival of Greek culture and political ideals depended on the ability of the small, disunited Greek city-states to band together and defend themselves against Persia's overwhelming strength. The struggle, known in Western history as the Persian Wars, or Greco-Persian Wars, lasted 20 years--from 499 to 479 BC. Persia already numbered among its conquests the Greek cities of Ionia in Asia Minor, where Greek civilization first flourished. The Persian Wars began when some of these cities revolted against Darius I, Persia's king, in 499 BC. Athens sent 20 ships to aid the Ionians. Before the Persians crushed the revolt, the Greeks burned Sardis, capital of Lydia. Angered, Darius determined to conquer Athens and extend his empire westward beyond the Aegean Sea. In 492 BC Darius gathered together a great military force and sent 600 ships across the Hellespont. A sudden storm wrecked half his fleet when it was rounding rocky Mount Athos on the Macedonian coast. Two years later Darius dispatched a new battle fleet of 600 triremes. This time his powerful galleys crossed the Aegean Sea without mishap and arrived safely off Attica, the part of Greece that surrounds the city of Athens. Yoshimitsu waited on this battle, watching and observing, slowly and steadily taking out a man a day, or if that, a man a week. The armies were big, yet their spirits were weak. He soon got bored of the war as it ended, he finished off about a few hundred soldiers as he moved onto somewhere else.
Soon to follow was The Wars of the Roses, 1455 to 1487, is the title generally given to the intermittent civil war fought over the throne of England between adherents of the House of Lancaster and the House of York. Both houses were branches of the Plantagenet royal house, tracing their descent from King Edward III. The war stared by the two royal houses, a red rose for Lancaster and a white rose for York. The House of York, headed by the powerful and popular Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York, challenged the fitness and legitimacy of the Lancastrian King Henry VI. The King was surrounded by unpopular regents and advisors who were blamed for mismanaging the government and poorly prosecuting the Hundred Years War in France, having lost nearly all of the land conquered by Henry V. Henry VI was a weak, ineffectual king, and he suffered from embarassing episodes of mental illness. By the 1450s many considered Henry incapable of rule. The short line of Lancastrian kings had already been plagued by questions of legitimacy, and the House of York believed they had a slightly stronger claim to the throne. Growing civil discontent, the abundance of feuding nobles with private armies, and corruption in Henry VI's court made the political climate ripe for civil war. When, in 1453, King Henry suffered the first of several bouts of mental illness, a Council of Regency was set up, headed by Richard, Duke of York, in the role of Lord Protector. Richard now began to press his claim to the throne with ever greater boldness. Henry's recovery in 1455 thwarted Richard's ambitions, and he was soon after driven from the royal court by Henry's queen, Margaret of Anjou. Since Henry was an innefectual leader, the powerful and aggresive Queen Margaret emerged as the de facto leader of the Lancastrian faction. Queen Margaret built up an alliance against Richard and conspired to reduce his assets. Richard resorted to armed hostilities in 1455 at the Battle of St Albans. These hostilities were easily dispatched by "unknown" forces according to many who witnessed it. Yoshimitsu struck fast, devouring the pathetic humans with great ease. They did not see the beast, they did not know the beast, they feared this unknown creature.
Opinions may vary as to when the Wars of the Roses began and ended, but the armed conflict was concentrated in the period 1455-1485. The antagonism between the two houses, however, originated with the overthrow of King Richard II of England by his cousin, Henry Bolingbroke, Duke of Lancaster, in 1399 whom was under the control of Yoshimitsu himself, using many diffent ways, he presuaded, and convinced the man to do so. Bolingbroke, crowned as Henry IV, had a poor claim to the throne and was tolerated as king only because Richard had been unpopular. Henry's heir, Henry V of England, was a great soldier and gained a firm hold on the reins of power but did not lack enemies. One of these was Richard, Earl of Cambridge, a son of Edmund of Langley and thus grandson of King Edward III of England. Cambridge was executed (1415) This execution was not as it seemed though, they made it seem like it was natural yet the corpse was never found. A fake was used instead. yoshimitsu himself devoured the man to gain more power. Unknown to many, Cambridge had a great deal of untapped, unnoticed spiritual abilities. When Yoshimitsu devoured the man his power grew faster then normal.
He travveled, these battles, these wars, they consumed time, made his wiser, he experieced battle which would help him in the future.
The Crimean War (1854-56) England entered this war between Russia and Turkey on the side of the Turks because Russia was seeking to control the Dardanelles and thus threaten England's Mediterranean sea routes. In the years 1854 to 1856, Britain fought its only European war between the ending of the Napoleonic conflict in 1815 and the opening of the Great War in 1914. Although eventually victorious, the British and their French allies pursued the war with little skill and it became a byword for poor generalship and logistical incompetence. The war began as a quarrel between Russian Orthodox monks and French Catholics over who had precedence at the holy Places in Jerusalem and Nazereth. These religious figures actually saw Yoshimitsu as he came, they fought back, for humans they had strong abilities, and they spirits were strong. He was almost killed that da, yet he survived. While devouring the religious armies he gained more power.
He was hundreds of years old, he was older then most hollows who hid but was soon slaghtered by the Shinigami and the new race.. the Quincy. The acadamy was built a while back, shinigami traveled in numbers, making life harder, yet Yoshimitsu survived.
American Civil War was the greatest war in American history, 3 million fought - 600,000 died, four of the war's most significant battles - Bull Run, July 1861; Vicksburg, July 1863; Fredricksburg, December 1862; Chattanooga, November 1863, Yoshimitsu stayed in america and saw every fight they had, devouring countless lives, 600,000 people died int eh war.. he was the cause for many. It was a feast fit for a king, and yoshimitsu happened to get it all to himself. Shinigami had dispatched many more around america yet did not really check the heart of the battles.
These are just a few fights out of the thousands that Yoshimitsu has seen and been a part of.
then when the newer days rolled around, battles and fight lowered, the rates plummeted downwards. Speninding most his time in Hueco Mundo the now Vasto Lorde Yoshimitsu spent his days devouingpoor, pathetic Hollows. He has out-lived most of everyone of those hollows. He has not been caught and destroyed by te quincy or Shinigami, though he has fought them, which ended with him devouring up to 20,479 shinigami in all, though, the shinigami were unseated, and most still in the acadamy, they had the most spirit of many.
This old hollow had gained a reputation for being able to use knowlage of battle to escape the battles with outnumbering Shinigami or stronger opponents. Wise, and strong was this hollow.
Yoshimitsu then got tired of his vasto lorde form, and he did what many attempted. he reached for his mask, his life, one wrong move could be deadly. He yanked it off, power released from his body and soul as he became a Arrancar. He soon became 1st Espada under the King of the Deep.
His power when he became an espada incrreased fold after folds, he felt invincible for the first moments of it, he thought he found immortality. He trained alot with the king of the deep and his fellow arrancar, beating many, but not the king. He became worythy of his rank. and now he spends his days helping oujt while resting.
