Name:Koeretsu Kaito
Alias:N/A
Age: 247 but looks 18
Gender: Male
Faction: Shinigami
Rank: 9th squad Vice Captain
Description:
Personality:Kaito is a fairly quiet individual. Do not overlook this, though. Because 'he is quiet' does not mean he is afraid of conversation, or does not wish to talk to people. Kaito is quiet in the fact that he preferrs to keep his input to a minimum, and when he feels his input is necessary. Of course as is anyone- he talks more frequently when he is in familiar company. He is friendly on the whole, and a bit of a realist. A good general description without much detail would be that he is a very prideful young man with a few stubborn issues, but is still friendly in his own right.
His easy going nature makes him seem lax, and uncaring. Though, not always far from the truth- but he'd certainly help a friend without question, problem, or situation. He is also incredibly curious, wether he seems it or not. He is always thinking, and questioning things... Though often times, he's intelligent enough to come up with the answers himself.
Honesty... this is a big part of Kaito...He will openly tell you his feelings about you, or a certain cituation if provoked to do so, and can be blunt at times... though he usually means well. He also has a fairly short attention span, wether he means to or not. Despite being very persistant, he is also fickle... Not always knowing what he wants, but knowing he wants something.
Curteous, and Scatterbrained is also a good way to describe him, and his conversation. He is always polite, to everyone. Even his enemies. But when he talks, he seems to jump around topic quite a bit, and come to a point often times late in his sentences. Possible attention defecit could be a reason for his scattered conversation.

Growing Up
Kaito grew up in an average small village on a mountain in Japan. His family were loyal to the Emperor, as was he. His father was a Samurai, as were his two older brothers, and Kaito himself aspired to be a warrior. His mother and two sisters all did family related work, cleaning, cooking, washing and so on. It was closing in on the time where Samurai would be obsolete, and everyone seemed to see it coming.
As a child, Kaito often practiced with his two elder brothers in kendo, and judo, as well as naginatado. He is the youngest male in the family, being four years younger than the next, and six years youger than the eldest. As years passed, he was becoming skilled with the boken, and was able to hold his own against his older brother in both hand to hand, and Kendo. Though of course he had his fair share of losses. This is the way he preferred it, though. He loved losing to people who were much greater than he was. He usually learned something out of each match, and was usually able to hold his own for a little while at least. He was still young, and had much to learn.
Around the age of eight or so he began fighting, or sparring with the other younger boys of the village. He wasn't the best, but he was certainly not the worst. He was looked up to by some kids, and he formed a fairly tight clique between he, and the other two more skilled fighters. His judo skills were also good for his age, and he began experimenting a little more with other martial arts brought from overseas. Talk began to spread about the construction of a railroad that would pass by their village, and it seemed to upset the elder members of the village. The younger kids didn't really understand why it angered the elders so much, as it may even bring outsiders which most would be unhappy about, but some young ones are always looking to meet new people.
Despite the news, Kaito didn't do anything differently, and for the next few years began practicing what was introduced as a new kendo at the time, called Iado. This is also where he recieved his first Katana that he helped forge himself. With Iado, the user is able to draw their sword and cut with the blade in the same motion. Depending on the speed of the user, This can be one of the most deadly of techniques. The techniques themselves deal with many situations such as a sudden attack by several opponents, a surprise attack while bowing to someone, an enemy lying in wait behind a sliding door or an attack in a darkened room. The permutations (suppositions) were countless.
The discipline of swordmanship in Iaido fashion provides an easily understood example of the intense concentration demanded by Kenjutsu techniques. The trainee must, in the final stage of wielding the sword, return its razor-sharp blade to the scabbard. The action used in accomplishing this brings the operator's left hand within a fraction of an inch of the keen edge, in itself an unnerving maneuver for the untrained, but one made infinitely more delicate by the fact that the action must be performed without once looking at the scabbard.
Still having been in training with it, Kaito was not able to master it before talk of rebellion started to arise. New rumors came up that the railroad was going to be built over, and through their current village. Despite the good relations the village had with the Emperor, nothing could have been worked out. The rebellion would not be against the Emperor, but the company contracted to build the railroad, since they usually had an army platoon guarding them.
During an early afternoon one day when Kaito was but 14, his two brothers, and father took part in the first rebellion attack on the Railroad company. His Father survived, and so did his older brother, but his eldest brother fell victim to multiple gunshot wounds. The rebellion was all but crushed, as the attack was almost a success. Though, at home, things weren't going so well... Kaito's mother fell ill after the eldest brother's death, where his older brother swore revenge on the company who killed their brother. Their father was also grief stricken, feeling responsible for his death. It would have sat well otherwise, but the fact he was not cut down by a blade in mortal combat struck them all as disgraceful[to the company], sickening, and terrible.
The two days later was another attack on the railroad company. THe construction was getting closer, as dynomite could be heard sometimes at night, blowing up rockfaces to forge the tracks for the iron caravan. Kaito's older brother and father went in to attack with a large group of other samurai, all on horseback. That same night, the samurai walked back. All were wounded, a little under half survived. Both Kaito's brother and father were brought back on a cart, both killed by guns. Kaito's family was slowly being torn apart. He felt a grief like nothing he's ever felt before. Losing his three best friends, half people that mattered to him most were killed off within a week, and for what? A Railroad?
Frustrated, Kaito ran home in tears, to inform his mother what had happened, though when he arrived, both his older sister, and younger sister were standing in the doorway, looking pale, sad, and like they had been grieving. Kaito only assumed the worst as he knew his mother's condition had been deteriorating. His assumptions turned out to be true, as he was lead by his sister [one year his senior] to the room where his mother lay, motionless, pale, lifeless, cold. Out of tears, and trying to be tough, Kaito tried to take the 'Man of the House' label, though it weighed heavy on a boy his age. He was able to fend for himself, and help out his sisters, but it was hard, especially coming into the care of a young Widow, who also lost her husband and two sons to the attack.
Two weeks had past, and the explosions in the night were getting louder by the day. Two more attacks were sent to the railway, but both came back mildly unsuccessful.. Not many casualties, but they were driven back the last attack completely...The men all came back alive, but all were wounded yet again.
Kaito started growing close to the Adopted family, and began forming good tight relationships with his sisters. Where before he would mostly only talk to his brothers and father, because he saw them for the majority of the day, during practice, training, and sparring. During the night, Kaito snuck out of the house to go sit in a tree across the meadow, where he would think, and 'daydream' about his brothers, and his father. How badly he missed them, and how he wanted to avenge them somehow. Even if he was too young to fight in a war just yet, he wanted to do something...
This is when he heard rumbling. Almost like thunder... No... This wasn't thunder... Horses... he saw an orange-ish light ignite the sky, and heard loud pops, and bangs. His eyes shot open, and he nearly leapt out of the tree two stories up. He scrambled for the village where over the horizon he saw smoke, and could hear shrieks and screams. His village. His entire village was being burnt. The bamboo, grass, mud, and reeds all ignited easily, and the citizens were shot down just as easily. He nearly reached the village entrance where he was tackled by an elder man in about his thirties. Grief stricken, and in a craze, he struggled to get free, but was unable to move. The man held a tight grasp on him and held his mouth shut with his hand. Without so much of a sound, the man picked him up, and ran off into the night, seemingly followed by three other males, shrouded in the night. Kaito passed out due to grief, exhaustion, and the fact th man seemed to be cutting off the circulation to his brain...
Awakening to crickets in the early morning, still a few hours before sunrise, he looked up to see a small fire and two sheds. The four men sat around the fire, mumbling to each other. Kaito wasn't even paying attention to them just yet. He was trying to wake up, and collect his thoughts. He finally came-to, and the four men had been discussing if they were going to forget about it and relocate, or try an ambush. So it seemed they were from his village. He asked who they were in a shaky, sheepish voice. They had all introduced themselves, and introduced themselves as "Agents for the village samurai". So in reality, they had been shinobi. Stuck between grief and anger, he asked about the situation, and figured out that the RR company had decided to cut to the chase and wipe out the village that had caused them almost a month's delay. What they had decided to do, was set traps inside the village in the upcoming two weeks, where the railroad construction would be drawing closer and closer to the village.
Long story short, Kaito asked to be part of the little village. They agreed, as he had nowhere else to go, and let him in on their first task, trapping up the ashen village with pungee pits, gunpowder barrels, tripwire, and all sorts of fun booby traps for the builders to fall upon. The shinobi encampment was where he spent the rest of his life, from 14 to 18. They trained them in guerilla warfare, camoflage techniques, spying and espionage, as well as alternative combat tactics [ninjutsu, kenjutsus]. His last year with the group was his first active assignment with the group. They were going to enter the mountain, and assassinate the spearheads on the railroad project for the area. The mission was tough, as they had to sneak past multiple guards, and a few pup-tents set up on the outside of the cavern's entrance. They kept their eye on the prize, a dim fire inside the cavern. This was where the tycoon's right hand man slept. He stayed around to make sure everything got done correctly. Successfully inside, Kaito and the village head were to set a trap, and then silently kill the Tycoon's assistant. Kaito set the trap, a barrel of gunpowder by a support beam would collapse the tunnel, sealing their escape after the deed was done. Unfortunately, after the leader snuck into the tent, and sliced the assisnt's jugular vein, someting went wrong. The two lookouts were spotted, and were held captive outside, and three men armed with guns were walking toward their position. The dark was on their side, but it was looking to be a grim situation. The leader exited out the back of the tent, and proceeded to Kaito's position, not but ten feet from the tent. He was spotted in motion, and had to flee. To cover his tracks, Kaito needed to ignite the barrell so they could escape, through the other side of the man-made cave. The barrell was ignited, but Kaito was then spotted as well. Both Kaito, and the leader were stuck in a cavernous tunnel, with three armed men trying to train their guns on them.
Right as one man fired his weapon, the barrell exploded, sending the support beam down ontop the three men. kaito, and the leader now near the exit of the tunnel, could see the moonlight. Right as they heard the crack, Kaito stumbled forward face-first, and tumbled to a sliding halt, where he tried to get up, but he had a bullet lodged in his left kidney, and was much too painful to do almost anything. They had wasted too much time trying to get Kaito standing, and out of the tunnel before it collapsed on them.
The Blurr of Rukongai
Kaito had awoken, not remembing anything that had happened previously. The last thing he had remembered was that they were preparing to go to the tunnel where the company had been blasting. Though, he awoke in a dazed state, confused and not knowing where he was. Apparently at the time of his death, a shinigami had purified his soul and sent him to rukongai, where he awoke in Inuzuri, completely unaware of the previous happenings [likely due to his skull being nearly completely crushed in the collapse].
He blinked, trying to clear his eyes, and avidly looked around. His surroundings were completely unfamiliar. He was in district 78, Inuzuri of Rukongai. He stood up, still a little shaky from the scare to see people walking about their business on a city street. Not a very nice city, but it could have been worse. An elderly woman approached him, asking if he was alright. He couldn't reply with a straight answer, so he replied with a question.
"Whe-... Where am I?" He asked, in almost a stage-whispered tone. The lady helped him get his bearings as he stood and tried to calm him.
"Well, where do you think you are?" She asked. Her voice was of a typical elderly woman's, with a certain kindness to it.
"I.. thought...." He paused, and closed his eyes. It looked as if he were in pain for a moment before his eyes shot open.... "I didn't make it... did I?...." He said... as his eyes flooded with tears, but didn't drip. He began speaking in fragments that she couldn't understand so she tried to slow him down, and explain that this was Rukongai, the wandering soul city. He tried to talk to her, but he was finally too stressed to even talk. His entire family had been burned alive, he was taken by people he hadn't known to redirect his anger hatred and frustrations elsewhere. Tried training him in new techniques to get back at the company...Now it was all over, though. Nothing could be done..
Then it came to him. A vision flickered in his mind, as well as an echo-ey conversation between him and a Shinigami. He had certainly died in that tunnel. Crushed in the collapse. The Shinigami muttered something else, and tapped Kaito's forehead with the butt of his hilt. Everything went white, and there he emerged. He explained it all to the woman, and she just agreed, and confirmed his status, and helped him into her home.
She gave him some new clothes, and introduced him to her 'family'. Among this family was a girl that appeared to be his age, who had recently arrived, only a year or two before his arrival. To the family he was curteous, and didn't talk much at first. It took him a good year to even be able to open up to anyone. He just mostly sat quietly in the room they let him sleep in. Everyonce in a while they heard his footsteps, as he was practicing some kata of some sort.
It was hard for him to adjust to not having to eat... as he loved food, and eating. Though, just like everything else, he became accustomed to the new 'life'. Also something new to become accustomed to, was his newly adopted 'sister' who always bugged him to come out and talk. Finally, after doing so, from being alone for a few weeks straight, he was able to come-to, and get on with his life. He was smart, and could barely even remember his life before death. It came to him like quick memory flashes sometimes in his sleep, but other than that, it seems he forgot a majority of his lifespan.
Normal conversation had been hard for him at first, as the last few years of his life he had been fairly silent. Which was a good thing for his newfound 'profession'. Though he slowly gained back his social skills. One thing that helped ease this along, was teaching his 'older sister', Akuka: Judo, and some basic kendo if she were lucky to have a weapon with her. The district they lived in wasn't exactly harmless. It was the least he could do, she had been so nice to him, and he had started growing fond of her. The only thing he could remember clearly were the last four years of his life, and that contained alot of information in itself. Information, that he parted onto his new sister, Asuka. He had become quite fond of Asuka, and he usually only talked to her on a personal basis, everyone else he was just nice, and curteous to. With her, he could talk to her... and after she had been having a hrd time on the streets, he wanted to be able to protect her, and teach her some things so she could protect herself.
The Master, and the Spiritual Powers
After finishing a quick lesson one day, they had been watched by their 'father' figure. Who pulled Kaito aside and told him about the center of Rukongai. Seireitei...the court of pure souls...And the inhabitants of this massive circular shiro. He told him an extensive amount of information on the Shinigami, saying he used to know an 10th squad member a few hundred years ago. Noting his background as some sort of combatant, he allowed Kaito to meet with a peculiar old man in their district who had previously been a total recluse. In reality, he knew how to control his reiatsu, and use spiritual powers.
This hairless old man in large robes adorned a long gray mustache, and a thin cane he used in his left hand. At first, his father let him meet, and spend a few hours with the elderly man, who seemed a bit coarse and agitated most the time. Though, after their first visit of just chatting, discussing things, about Rukongai, and Seireitei... he asked Kaito to stay with him for a while. He sensed that even as a normal citizen, he posessed a certain aura... that was revealed to him that he posessed spiritual power.. his own reiatsu.
The elderly man gave him harsh, relentless lessons in spiritual control. Lessons, and practice that lasted nearly two and a half weeks. He was able to empart his power into a crystaline sphere to create a barrier, and able to basically control, and let himself freely use his spiritual power. Magnificent is the work the elderly man kept using, the fact that no matter how many times he tried, he never seemed to get tired of trying, and never spoke anything of 'no', or 'can't', or 'won't'. He just did, or tried until he could. He had nearly insurmountable resolve, and tried his damndest to do what the elderly man asked of him.
It wasn't long after that the old man directed him to apply for the Shinigami academy. He spent a day or two contemplating, and visiting alot with his new family before he decided to go. His deciding factor was his older sister. She had told him he'd be perfect for it, that he could protect them from his position as a Shinigami, and that he's look 'super cute' in a Shinigami outfit. So, no questions asked, he decided to go.
Cadet
During his examination, they discovered the Kaito did in fact posess the proper requirments for the academy... He was admitted, passing his first entry examination. He seemingly breezed through the academy, taking everything in stride. Though, he had to spend alot of extra time with some Kidou, as physical combat was really his specialty. He excelled in hand to hand combat, as well as zenjutsu. Destructive and binding kidou were something that took him a while to get, though. He managed to gain a top percentile preformance in combat skills, and somewhere in the middle preformance area for Kidou. Learning the laws, traditions, customs, history, and procedures were another thing that required his study. But he certainly had the time, and everyone else in the academy seemed to have the same troubles.
He developed his own sort of style while training physically in the academy. His motions while fighting were all fluid, and very economised, and energy efficient. Most especially with his hand to hand skill. His strength and agility were high, only outmatched by his speed. His speed was something that gave him quite a bit of merit throughout his generation of cadets. His shunpou had been quickly mastered, and constantly worked at making it better, and using it more efficiently with his speed, and fluid economised motions. Often taking part in 'flash tag', a sort of game, or sport the youngest academy members played. Apparently, he was very good at it.
His personality started to bend, and take a more prominant shape during his study, as well. His morals often times agreed with the laws and the ideals of seireitei, and he quickly became a high-potential student. He was a very obediant individual that despite his curiosity, didn't ask many questions. He was starting to become a sort of.. 'military dog', some might call it. He did what he was asked, how he was asked, with speed and excellence, and without question. His stubborn-ness, and determination wouldn't let him fail tasks given at the academy level. He gained the attention of his superiors, and they began letting him lead groups when necessary, as he seemed to posess some charisma, and was able to gain the trust of his classmates without much effort. A sort of natural leadership ability that came innate to few.
The closing time on his academy days was coming close, and he had gained much rapport with a few of his instructors. His loyalty to them, and general friendship with them had given him a few extra hints about the different divisions. Right now his abilities was standing broadly. He was a great hand to hand fighter, and excellent swordsman, great stealth and intelligence gathering abilities, as well as abilities to lead full-frontal offensive tasks. Though, his Kidou skills weren't anything special, so that kept him away from the healing, and Kidou centered divisions. He was left with but a few possible entries. Two, Five, Nine, and Eleven. The most appealing of which, were Two, Five and Nine, as eleven wasn't his style.
11th squad were all reckless ground-pounders with a taste for death. They suited his determination and stubborness, as well his his physical combat standards, but more or less, not psychologically.
Second squad was head of the secret mobile corps, which greatly interested Kaito, but here, he would be just another number, which didn't necessarily bother him, but he wanted to be able to someday be captain. Though, he didn't know much about the special ops guys, he figured that they were all unknown shadows. That didn't really please him. They fit his speed and discression, as well as hand to hand ability, but he still wanted some recognition. He figured if he would be under SoiFon, that he would be a member of her regular squad. This is subconsciously what he wanted to be placed as, after graduation.
Fifth squad was great for him, he figured. But it seemed to generic for him. Fifth squad seemed to all be great fighters, and good with Kidou, but Kaito sort of wanted something to specialise in. He wanted to break his limits, and specialise in something.
Ninth squad seemed to fit him quite well, too. They were all mature mentally, and developed physically. This was also a possibility, as they weren't necessarily specialised, nor all well rounded, but the captain, and vice captain shared his same state of mind.
Time for contemplation had come to an end, as he saw himself graduating finally, and would begin his ritual to achieve his zanpakuto. He was burstin st the seams during his ceremony where he was placed into the gotei-13. It was down to three choices, and his instructors and superiors had chosen them without telling him until graduation day. He was placed in Ninth Squad, under captain Akeginu. He was happy to enter the 9th squad ranks, now as a full fledged shinigami..
The vague- gaining his zanpakuto
During his achievment of his zanpaku-to, he was to discover his inner world. He needed to clear his thoughts and concentrate before he was able to daze out and realise.
His inner world was a sengokou castle. Or, what seemed to be one. He was seemingly inside an elaborate room with many weapons, and sets of armor decorating the walls. There were two Shoji in this room that let a little light in so that he could just barely see everything in the room. It was dark, with a blue-ish light attempting to lighten the room. Though he saw long, thin white box sitting in front of one of the shoji. As he was going to walk toward it, a figure materialised in the room.
Shrouded in what seemed to be a black moving cloud, the figure had a face, but it was barely visable, as it was partially covered, as well. It was standing behind the white box. Kaito slowly approached the man in the inky black shroud, but from the shroud, came what seemed to be an inky cloud tendril that took the form of a hand, and pointed to the box. It seemed very adamant that he picked up- or opened the box... so he went for it.
He untied a string on the box, and inside the box was a black void. he stuck his hand inside, and it seemed to go on forever... or at least, much deeper than the box appeared to be. Though as he got down shoulder depth, he felt something. It was hard, and smooth... He grabbed ahold... cyllindrical... This was probably his zanpakuto's saya! He gripped it in his right hand, and pulled it out.
There it was... a black Saya with a circular hand guard, and a black hilt, with maroon wrap on it. The blade shone abright silver color, seemingly flawless and indestructable.
Shikai: Crawling up the Ladder
It was after that, that his real training could take place. He slowly but surely climbed up the ranks in the Ninth Squad and had finally unlocked his Shikai...
During fights with some strong hollows, he had troubles unlocking his Shikai. It took his zanpakuto until Kaito was near-death to show himself, for not showing in quite some time. It seemed like he was inside his head for a long time, but in reality, it had only been a moment. His inner world had developed a little more. He had opened a first shoji door in the elaborate room, to reveal a long hallway, with other shoji doors. One after another, it was door after door after door.... But this instant, he was in the main room again.
His Shikai tried to tell him something, but Kaito could barely understand him. It was like his voice sounded like fifty whispered voices, covered by wool, instead of it's normal voice. His voice normally sounded deep, and had another tone behind it, like a child's, though, only a hint. It was quite eerie.... Trying to get closer, Kaito leaned his head in, and walked a few steps foreward. His Zanpakuto's body was sitting down on a mat, next to a table, and had a set of armor next to him, and some randomised weapons on weapon stands.
Right as Kaito got within arms reach, the voice stopped. Kaito stood confused, infront of his zanpakuto... In an instant, it had disappeared, and reappeared behind him. Kaito stood astonished, and then blood started to spray from his chest.
"Eaggh, what the hell?" He growled, turning to the figure, drawing his sword.
"Have you not known my name yet?" The voice echoed out behind the whispers, as the figure disappeared again... Again... blood sprayed from his left shoulder. He had been sliced yet again. "Pathetic!" THe voice grumbled... Kaito turned to the figure again.
"Then make it easier on us both, and tell me already! it's been almost ten years! I've taken good care of you- I've slain many hollows with you by my side... what's the problem?" The figure Disappeared again, but Kaito had been ready. They clashed swords, standing in front of one another, trying to force their blades upon the other. Kaito still couldn't make out the figures appearance.
Though he could sort of tell it was male from the voice, and the lower half of his face. His hands were sort of large, so they looked masculine. Everything else was covered in a shroud, that seemed to emit a black non-toxic inky smoke that covered itself. And when he Shunpou'd, it wisped away.
They exchanged sword clashes again, and again, and again. Shunpou after shunpou after shunpou... It was almost relentless. Kaito kept gettng knocked back, and tumbled over. But it was in the back of his mind what he needed to do. The figure and Kaito exchanged aggrivated conversation until now. Kaito got up, and had a determined look on his face. Almost like he was about to take the head off the figure's shoulders. He proudly walked forward, strongly, chest out, zanpakuto in hand. He needed to take control!
The figure wouldn't just TELL me his name! What was i thinking?... He thought, aggrivated at himself.
Being curteous was becoming an obstacle. He took a few long arced slashed toward the figure, who blocked every one. Kaito now had gained the offensive. He was trying to drive his zanpakutos soul back, into submission. Kaito was breathing heavilg from fighting so strongly, and so quickly for the short battle before now. Bringhing his sword back like it were an axe, or a baseball bat. He began swinging so fast, and so hard, that it was making the shrouded man slide backwards.
The black shroud on the man began to stop producing smoke, and as they shunpoud, and exchanged blows even more, the inky smoke disappeared around him. He stood there, in a black cloak with a big hood, it seemed to have three layers to the cloak, and it was terribly ratty. Sliced up, rugged, and heavy. The man wore black arm guards, and what looked to be armored black tabi boots with large black hakama tucked into them. The only skin showing was his fingers, mouth and chin.
They continued arguing, before Kaito finally burst out- "Tell me your name!", he made a last horizontal powerful slash, that the figure had to deflect, but by the time he'd deflected, Kaito had made three successive shunpou's, slicing at his front, back, and right side. They were all blocked, but the last one, coming toward his right side, the blade stopped right about where the figure's neck would be.. It stopped, and stood straight up, very still. Kaito held the blade toward the figure's neck.
"I am...Kamisori..." It spoke quietly. "I suppose you've become strong enough to know. Now that you're able to at least take hold...and confront your opponant, and not just await for an attack to come to you...."
The figure said, and quickly disappeared. They had faught all throughout the room, and the hallways. The infinite hallway of Shoji was cracked, broken, and sliced to pieces.
The inner world disappeared, and there he was, kneeling before a hollow, bleeding. The Large Hollow quickly approached Kaito again, with intent to smash him under his giant paws. He looked at his blade, a straight, shorter blade, it was a Ninja-to, only it had some vicious blade design on it. The hilt was the same, circular guard, with the black hilt with the dark maroon wrap, but the blade shrank a couple inches, and fleshed out in a wicked design, meant to dismember and eviscerate. This zanpakuto was certainly a melee zanpakuto. He held the sword down, and it started to spew a black smoke at a rapid pace from the hilt. In a split second, the hollow was unable to see Kaito. Only confused for a second, the hollow billowed out a loud chuckle before slamming it's giant front paw into the black cloud. The cloud swirled about his paw, and started to slowly lower... nothing was there. He then saw a few flashes, and felt inexplicable pain down his gut, and on all of his limbs. Kaito had flash stepped five times, slit open the hollows center, and dismembered it. The hollow shrieked in pain as it dissipated, leaving Kaito standing, staring at his blade...
It didn't take him long to learn the other technique, as it was pretty straight foreward. It fired a cutting bolt of energy from the tip of the sword. With Kaito's abilities in combat, he was able to climb up the ladder in the 9th squad. it wasn't long before he was a seated member, continuing his climb up to third seat. His speed and strength are off the wall. If he uses his shikai to dismember his opponants, he quickly spits out a Haien to disentigrate it. He is a versatile warrior, though prefers not to use kidou unless he has to. He's been known to tie up an opponant with the crawling rope, and completely dismember, ans sever an opponent in half, thirds, or even quarters. With his speed, and the strength and sharpness of his blade, he can cut nearly anything.
He always says he's close to Bankai, but he has yet to gain it. He tries hard all the time, but can't get a good response. He has a wealth of reiatsu, due to his intensive training with his Kamisori. He doesn't need to unsheath his shikai much, as he generally preferrs his regular zanpakuto blade, as he can do quite enough damage with that... He has begun taking personal tutelage from his Vice-Captain, and his skills are still growing.
After a few years passed Akeginu was promoted to Commanding General and soon after the Vice-Captain Kuro Akuma took over as Captain of the division. Kaito and Kuro had a personal bond with each other over there years of training. They had become like brothers and in reality a lot of people did think they were brothers. A few weeks after Kuro had became Captain he appointed Kaito the Vice Captain posisition. Many thought it was due to there bond and they were somewhat true but Kuro knew that Kaito had potential and he was already good now. To this day Kaito has basically unofficially pledged his life to Kuro, ready to give it at anytime. Although Kuro want let him and that is why Kuro never takes him on missions.
