Among the night everything becomes secret for some reason most of the order is seen during the day to perhaps be a just a show of how good the city was yet now it seems to show how perilous it really was. There I stood with five of my friends three guys and me and girl. We had casual clothes on and merely hanged out on the Donshoku Bridge we were mostly just gossiping messed up the world was from bizarre stories about personnel experiences to what we read online.
Yet that wasn't the only reason we were here, at night there was also plenty of prey to pick out from and where we were few cop patrols visited. We patiently passed the time waiting from some darn fool to pass up in our line of sights one such tight collared man approached with another they seem out for fun but that would stop here. The toughest guy in our little group arose standing infront of the two fellow's.
"Say buddies looking a little happy today aren't we heading to the bars after a long day are we?" He said in a casual but menacing tone both were easily taken aback only replying with a frightened "Yes". "Well Well then I don't suppose you can help us out before ya do were a bit short ourselves but we wanna have a bit of fun tonight too." He requested but only fools would expect him to accept a no yet that was my cue I grabbed a baseball bat and snuck behind the two on the other side of the bridge before they even thought of turning because that's what they all did when those words were heard.
They turned attempting to flee but I simply put forward my back to block the way behind them "Going somewhere so soon come on now is your lives really worth your booze money chumps." I egged on tipping my lucky tan hat as my group closed in they were now truly terrified as the night would probable claim their wallets and maybe a few bruises.

Addict was wondering aimlessly through the Karkura Town, being the first time he had been to the human that he could remember. It was along his travels that he felt a light amount of spiritual energy and feeling bored he decided that it was worth checking out. As he approached he noticed a group of people standing on the bridge some in fear and others in an anxious joy, but his eyes were drawn back to the girl at the end of the bridge. He stood there for a moment listening before stepping in.
Walking up behind the girl in no real hurry a smile slid across his face "People underestimate the worth of booze.... money"
Stopping a short distance away he gave a low bow before saying " Hello little girl, may I ask why you are disturbing the home a lone earth spirit?"

As the curtains began to fall on their victim's I felt a strong vibe of ill omen it was never this strong before sometimes when she was in troubling sitchuations it only tingle but now it was screaming! She tried to shake it off and concentrate until a voice hovered over her shoulder slowly she took her eyes away from her groups victims and toward the voice.
Then what she gazed upon she could never be prepared as if some sort of horror show stood a figure that gazed over her with vastly superior height and a body that was strikingly of a reptilian beast though in humanoid form words were long gone from her mind as she stared into his reptilian eyes with a terrified expression.
"KYAA!" She eagerly screamed swinging the bat in her hand at the beast attempting to strike at his chest with her excitment spiritual energy filled the bat. meanwhile her friends and victims behind stared in confusion what frightened her so. "What the he-" One of her friends spoke pushing aside the two men they were going to rob to get a better view of what was happening to his friend.

He was surprised when the girl spun and screamed and was even more so when she hit him in the chest with her bat. An angry hiss escaped his mouth as he backed away from the girl, his hands roamed his chest to asses the damage, a few obviously broken ribs but what he couldn't tell was how his chest seemed caved in at point of impact. All in all it was painful but not life threatening.
Standing straight up it should be easy for the girl to see his ribs relocate and his chest re-inflate. Taking a deep shuddering breath he stared at the girl. "Now that wasn't very nice."
In a flash he spun whipping his tail at her legs

She stared blankly as her weapon hit the intended target but just as it did the creature hissed at her inciting that probable only made it angry. "Oun...What the hell are you hitting this ain't no time to practicing your strokes!" The leader of the group shouted at her but looking back with a rather flustered face.
"Are you blind?! There's a freaking monster right infront of-AH Cra-" She tried to explain but the creature's sweep caught her by surprise sending her to the floor on her back. "Owwwww!" She moaned painfully while lying on the floor but when her eyes were upon the monster she rolled back to her colleges standing on her knee's while everyone else seemed dumbfounded.
"What? You practicing acting now Oun jeez." The leader stated in a sarcastic tone while the others chuckled a bit. "I'm not faking any of this idiot he's really there it's a freaking lizard man I swear." That quote however only made her friends laugh louder as the leader approached where Oun was standing.
"Oun there isn't anything there...See?" He stated walking toward the creature feeling out the area but getting nothing from it after awhile only missing the creature's body by a foot proving her theory wrong only by a small margin. "Now cut the crap and let's get back to the business with these two weaklings." He started to go on as he was now right behind the creature Oun watched on still with a frenzied face unsure if the creature could harm anyone or perhaps her friend was right. "Maybe he is just a figment of my imagination..." She muttered so her friend's couldn't hear her.

Standing there he watched her as she sputtered to her friends, trying to explain what only she could see, and the possible danger. A smile, or at least the best version a lizard could give grew across his face as the human male walked toward him, past, and now behind him. An idea crossed his mind, he would give her a choice. Walking to the edge of the bridge he looked over to confirm that there is water below
"You don't think I'm real do you? I could prove it to you.... pick any person, your choice and they go over the edge. Or I could pick for you" He says with a glance over his shoulder to the man who still stood behind him
Crossing his arms he stood there waiting for her answer

Well he's trying to prove he's real by trying to threaten the people around me...Is that how illusions control crazy people does is my body the only one that reacts to his movements because I think he's attacking me? Hah! figured you out!' Oun quietly thought to herself thinking she finally solved the puzzle. She pointed to the figure that had moved to the end of the bridge making her friends give and awkward stare at her.
"Hah so that's your game well pick whoever you want my imaginary fiend you can't touch anyone here except me anyway!" She boasted with a prideful glee upon her face but most were just confused at whom she was talking too.
"What the hell...have you gone bat crazy now too? Oun you might seriously need help." The leader stated with a grim expression. "Just hang on buddy this'll be solved in a second." She replied to him.

"Darn, you got me. I am just a figment of your overactive imagination come to life. I can't harm you or anyone else all I can do is stand here and try to convince you otherwise."
With his shoulders in a defeated slump he walked down the bridge toward the small group of her friends. As he got even with them he stopped and raised his head. Spinning around he looked at her with a wide grin
"Or maybe I can"
Reaching out he grabbed one of the people that was going to be mugged and threw him over the side of the bridge, after a second there was a soft splash. A grin on his face he jumped up on the side of the bridge he began to walk back toward her.
"Any other bright ideas?"

As the man was thrown off the side of the bridge a shadow would quickly dart around the area to underneath the bridge. At high speeds Clyde would appear in front of the fellow before he splashed into the river below and grabbed hold of his collar in mid air, causing both to land safety in a patch of dirt right outside of the rivers reach. "You should be more careful here, these bridges can get pretty slippery." He gave a fake warning to the man as to why he was suddenly thrown off into the river like that unexpectedly, Clyde was covering up the fact of something supernatural happening. "Anyway now that you're okay, I should...uh, warn your friends up there as well. Please stay down here." He quickly said with a nervous laugh before turning his attention back towards the bridge and making his way towards it.
Clyde saw the hollow, he had seen many hollow but it had been awhile a regular one. He was used to the arrancar that had invaded and had almost forgotten how these creatures used to be the common type back a few weeks ago. It seemed this one intended on tormenting the people gathered around the bridge, but Clyde was a protector of the humans and he was always scouting for these creatures. Even if it was just an adjucha's, it was still incredibly dangerous to the ordinary human. So Clyde needed to protect them.
With a powerful leap and jumped right up towards the side of the bridge just as Adicto asked if they "had any other ideas," at which point Clyde would lift his foot and swing a horizontal kick towards the creatures chest with enough force to knock him off his feet, blindsiding him as he carelessly stalked towards Ounriuun. Landing, he took and step forward and stood against the creature. "How's that for an idea..." He muttered with a confident grin as he stared the creature down, his focus on the hollow caused him not to really pay much attention to the entourage around him.

As he started moving forward his reptilian face hung down in defeat Oun was now certain he wasn't real that is until one of the men who was about to be mugged started shouting hysterically as he was now floating in the air around them. Everyone was caught off guard by this sudden change even their so called leader took a step back in horror then all hell would break loose when the man was flung overboard the bridge fainting the moment he saw what would've been his watery end.
Now everyone broke up in a mad panic to get away from the unknown terror except Oun who was too distraught by the fact this creature she saw was actually real. Then it dawned upon her she was now the only one who stood infront of it.
"Oh....Fudge cakes..." Oun stated in a rather distressed tone noticing she missed her cue to flee then she stared up at the beast gripping her bat with a frazzled expression on her face.
"Um I liked it when my friends thought I was crazy at least they were here any chance you could make them believe your not real again...please?" She stated moving backward as he stepped closer she dared not turn her back fearing it would be all over if she did so. Then without warning she heard a whisper through the air and a gust of wind would follow that would nearly take her lucky cap away if she didn't grab onto instinctively. A shadowy figure now leapt at the monster attempting to attack him from what she could tell.

He watched as the girls friends ran in fear, not even knowing if they were running in the right direction. He stared after them before looking back at the girl. He stood there looking at her before bowing his head in apology.
"I'm sorry, but i don't have such power over time, or the human mind, but if things work out right they wont rememb..."
All at once his world turned as he felt himself fall from the ledge and back onto the bridge. Looking he could see the man land on the bridge. Jumping back to his feet Addict pointed accusingly at the newcomer. This one obviously stronger than the first. Oh well time to bluff
"That is the second time some one has hit me for no reason!" he yelled Lifting his arms to the heavens and slowly spinning in a circle while continuing to rant showing off one of his favorite abnormalities, his hollow hole was no where to be seen. "What is the logical thought process? Her I understand, I startled her, but you jumped on the side of a bridge to kick. What the hell?"

The shadowy figure lifted himself into a standing position on top of the ledge after a brief moment. As he stood up on the ledge, the street lights attached to the bridge revealed the figure to be a young man who appeared to be in his late teens and no older. He looked quite confident after landing his kick on the hollow creature. It had been awhile since Clyde had seen the ordinary type of hollow floating around here but it did not change the fact that he was a protector of Karakura, and that meant he had to fight this hollow. The other humans seemed to have cleared out except for one, who Clyde moved his eyes towards to see if she was okay.
His attention was called back, however, by the hollow. With a surprised look on his face he questioned the beast. "N-no reason? What the heck are you talking about, you just threw that man off a bridge! Not to mention you were threatening this young girl over here!" he yelled back at the hollow like he was some kind of idiot. This was probably the first hollow he encountered that denied any wrong doing. "I feel like attacking you was completely justified." The young man crossed his arms and shrugged. This was silly, now he was arguing with the creature. It was interesting to note however that the boy saw no hollow hole...had he been mistaken? Was he not some kind of hollow? But if he wasn't, what the hell was he?

Oun was taken aback a bit before the beast was flunt across the bridge by the shadowy figure he shortly stopped standing underneath a street light revealing himself to be human or at least humanoid. Many thoughts ran through Oun's head mainly the one about their little spat happening between the two.
'...This isn't right a guy not much older than me literally pounds a monster twice his size across the bridge but he did bring that guy that fell up...So he could enjoy seconds when he's done with me so he must be acting all gentle and righteous to get me into a false sense of security then bam i'm his monster chow! Well i'm not going to just be their prize in this tug-of-war I gotta find somehow to knock em both down hmm...' She imagines and thinks about the sitchuation possibly misinterpreting a few things but with alot on the line she knows this is no time to be second guessing herself.
She lightly steps off to the side of the bridge right down where Clyde was standing on the rail, then she started slowly approaching him from behind while he was arguing with the demon if she got close enough she would attempt to wack him square on the head which would knock out a normal human being. 'Alright first the scrawny one then i'll take down the big lizard!' She thought to herself while she attempted to pull a sneak attack on Clyde.

"So like the young to assume things! That poor man was being mugged when I stepped in and the fall from the bridge would not have killed him as long as he squeezed his cheeks together before he hit the water." Addict waved the issue aside "I would have tried to carry him away but I was not sure what this girl can do, plus some well meaning person might have misinterpreted the scenario and killed me."
His mind was racing, how else could he hide what he was. He could not pass for human or shinigami, but maybe something a bit more outlandish... yes that would do just fine he thought
"Besides the amount or spiritually aware creatures are on the rise again on this plane."
Throughout all this Addict had chosen to ignore the girl since she was little to no threat

The boy kept his arms crossed and eyed the lizard creature carefully. "I highly doubt what you're saying is completely true." Clyde answered honestly, raising an eyebrow to the hollow. He was not sure if it really was a hollow or not, but he certainly was not a shinigami or arrancar. No, it was far more likely he was some sort of Adjucha's but Clyde was not really sure. While Oun scampered quietly behind the boy, Adicto "revealed" that he was some sort of spiritually aware creature but Clyde did not seem to buy it at all. "There are only so many spiritual creatures here in karakura and I'd take a wager that the kind you are...is a hollow." He called out, pointing an accusing finger to the lizard man.
"Your reiatsu is similar to others of your kind. ...And even if you weren't, I'm here to protect other humans. I don't take kindly to my kind being threatened like with the way that you were threatening that girl over-" He moved his finger over to where the girl once stood but he ended up pointing to empty air to his surprise. "-there...?" He trailed off, lowering his hand. He blinked in surprise, wondering where the young lady had just run off to.
At that moment the young boy was wacked on the head from behind by Oun's bat. "Yeouch!" The boy cried out, bending his knees and grabbing a hold of his throbbing head. To the girl's surprise the bat didn't knock the boy out like a normal human would have. In fact, the bat actually chipped a bit from the hit despite how hard she had swung it. He turned his face back towards the attacker and realized it was the same girl who he had just been talking about. "Wh-why did you do that!? I'm tr-trying to protect you!" Clyde completely lost his train of thought with Adicto after getting clobbered in the head like that and now was pretty distracted as he rubbed at the spot he had been wacked. "Ooooooow!"

Oun felt the vibration of the impact 'It hit!' She exclaimed mentally, excited that her success though when she fully regained herself from the blow she was astonished that the boy was still standing. She took a look at her now chipped bat as it grew larger seeming the bat sustained more damage than the boy.
"Wha-What! Are you joking no human being can take a hit like that and stand let alone talk!" She stated in a rather distressed though she could tell he was still a bit disoriented if there was a time to finish him it would have to be now though according to his words he was actually attempting to save everyone but her mind was screaming he was treacherous.
"I dunno what you are but you aren't human buddy you're probable just like the lizardman there trying to be all gentle then gobble me up at the moment of weakness! I'm not falling for your tricks so just fall already!" She replied to the boy's cries to her reason yet she rounded up her bat once more to attempt to take a decisive blow across his face with the bat hopefully for sure knocking him down this time or breaking the bat utterly. Perhaps he was telling the truth that he was here to save her but so many things were happening she had no time to blindly be placing her trust in some stranger.

Addict stood there as the human started to pick apart his story although he was correct for the most part, but that didn't keep Addict from answering.
"I haven't lied once. I would like to see you prove it. It doesn't matter what you take kindly to and i never threatened her."
Then with a resounding crack the boy bent forward holding his head while the girl stood behind him with a bat. Addict couldn't help laughing as the boy demanded why she would attack him, but seeing the girl prepare for another swing Addict moved behind her as fast as he could, then gave a non too gentle shove toward the boy. This would ruin her swing while tangling them both together. Stepping back the same serpentine smile grew across his muzzle.
"Excuse me boy, but it seems this girl is in greater need of knowledge than protection, remember how shocking it was the first time you had seen a spirit? Also little girl you have spunk but your missing couple pieces to a puzzle you didn't even know existed"

((Now that I'm back, I'd like to keep going with this thread if you two want to, at least to give a conclusion of some kind.))
Clyde still held his head, hearing the girl behind him doubt his motives and prepare for another swing. "W-wait, would you listen for a second? I'm a human too!" He turned toward her quickly attempting to fix the situation and avoid anymore bats to the head, but when he turned around he realized the Lizardman had made his move behind the two of them.
"Whoa, he's fast. If I'm not careful I'll lose track of him." Clyde thought to himself on the speed of the creature. If he WAS a hollow, he had the speed of the arrancar he had faced in the past, meaning he was a very dangerous opponent. Oddly though, he still claimed otherwise to both Clyde and this girl. His focus still on the hollow, however, he did not realize that the creature had shoved the girl until she was pushing directly onto him. "Wha~? Ack!" The two would be roll across the ground somewhat, tangled up just as Addicto had planned.
The gray eyed boy essentially ended up beneath Oun across the bridge. Grunting out awkwardly from where he was he called out to the hollow, "Shocking or not...hollow or not, I'm not risking anything by letting you near an innocent human. Go back to where you came from and just leave her alone." The boy scrambled to get the two of them separated as fast as possible, they were sitting ducks tangled up like this. "Uhh, Sorry!" The boy called out to the girl as he grabbed her shoulders to push the two apart more easily, apologizing for apparently having to grab her.

"It doesn't matter now just-UGNAAH!" Oun was about to give a most dastardly swing before she felt Adicto's push upon her back instantly she lost her balance colliding with Clyde at full speed that was to be her blow her bat easily slipped through her hands and went off the bridge with ease leaving her now weaponless. As they rolled aground the world within her eyes spun in a most confusing manner it was all meshed and cloudy clearly she hadn't been used to be this disoriented before so her body was slow to recover as Clyde seemed rather unfazed by the tussle.
Her eyes were a confused spiral and her favorite hat spun sideways very crooked. ""Ughwashthedevfishhurchmesh." Oun spoke utter gibberish unable to comprehend with a rather large purple bruise of the top left of her forehead showing she'd hit that spot rather hard on the ground in their little collision. "'RRIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGG' A constant ringing noise filled her mind numbing her senses as her eyes scoured the place not being able to make hide or hair of anything but still awake as the the duo would probable notice by her rather lapse in intelligence being unable to respond to Clyde's question properly.

Addict just stood there for a second before bursting out laughing at the tangle of limbs, in truth he hadn't really expected it to work so well and when the girl tried to talk his laughter redoubled. Falling to the ground he sat there chuckling before finally being able to compose himself.
"I think we got off on the wrong foot here, my name is Adicto La Velocidad.... You can just call me Addict though"
In truth he really didn't care if either of the humans knew he was a hollow which his name was sure to point out that he was, it was just entertaining to play with them.
