Stricken (Lt Challange, 12 Div Members Only)

His hand on his Zanpakuto, as he stood in the practice arena. Nonko had suggested this place, as he waited for Lumina to turn up. This is going to be a great day, as the person who wins gains/keeps the title of Vice-Captain of the 12 Division.

Naota stood, he tightened his grip on his zanpakuto, just inching to get started as his eyes directed forwards.

"Soon you will see, who is worth the position... People who work to get stronger, or those who laze around and don't do anything at all!

He shouted the last sentence, as he was fustrated with her loyalty towards them all.

[Nonko Ryuuza]

"It seems she doesn't want to defend her title."

Nonko walked into the room. His Haori off and his blade out. He seemed to smile as he walked in. The doors closing behind him.

"Because she has failed to prove herself, I'll give you a single chance to prove yourself. You may use kido, but do not release. Now, Defend."

With a quick movement his left arm shot out at Naota without warning.

Naota smiled, as he found this would be fun. Surely his captain would try and spring a suprise like usual. And Naota was waiting, as he saw his captains feet move in place, and his arm to slightly move upwards towards Naota. He didn't have much time due to Nonkos speed. However Naota managed to spin his back around, as Nonko would just of cut a tear in Naotas sleeve.

Naotas body spun around, a very expected movement. The greatest advantage Naota would ever receive would be his hight. Since he was 5 foot 3. And still he had not revealed his Zanpakuto.

He couldn't just use such an expected movement, after his spin around avading Nonkos attack. Naota would unseath his Zanpakuto, but not attacking with it. Instead Naota would slash his zanpakuto hoping to get nonko in the process. The Zanpakuto would hit the ground, and with Naotas hight and balance he would lunch himself over the top of the hilt in a cart wheeled motion. Aiming the tip of his foot to Nonkos fake eye.

"Now i need new robes..."

Surely due to the amount of Reiatsu Nonkos movements would of slowed down. The pressure would of been known of, Naota would land on the ground and back away from the captain.

Nonko watched Naota's movements carefully. By the time he was in the air Nonko arm was returning, but not fast enough to block. Instead he dropped his blade from his right hand, and then moved it to aim at Naota.

"I said Kido may be used."

He then pointed his index finger and smiled as he spoke the words:

"Hadou #4... Byakurai."

A bolt of lightening shot from his finger.

Once Naota was in the way of Nonko, a burst of lightning came his way. Naota lend his head back, however his left hand was in the way. The lighting bolt ran through his hand, as then landed in the ground. He felt the pain and agony, as he fet touched the ground. He right hand still on the hilt of his sword. As once on the ground Naota swept his legs towards Nonkos the back knees. If were to hit Nonkos knees would find the ground. Once down, and unaware, naota would spring upwards and stab his index finger to Nonkos hip.

"Bakudo number 57... Borotva"

His index finger would act as a razor as the right index finger would find his way to Nonkos him. Naota would then run to his side once any attack came into view.

Nonko's arm snapped into place and he disappeared from where he stood. Now sanding a few feet away, blade in his right hand, he pointed at Naota's finger.

"If you don't say it right, it won't work."

Naota had called the kido Bakudo which is the way of binding. The kido was actually a Hadou or way of destruction. Nonko knew his kido well. Aside from the puppets and Zanpackutou it was his ultimate weapon.

"Hadou 54.... Haien"

Nonko moved his hand just slightly to preform the spell. Flame shot out of Naota. This was Nonko favorite kidou as he has been seen using it many times before.

Naota did not pay any attention to Nonkos voice, or matter about his mistake, as he picked up his zanpakuto and placed it back in it's sheath. It was all about the tak ahead. Once he heard the kidou sound. There was only one kidou that came to his mind, that he used far too often. But soon there was something that he was willing to try.

"Bakudo number 39... Enkosen"

Because of the hight of his own body, all he had to do was just bend his knees, and just then he whole body was covered by the sheild as the Kidou Nonko launched had hit the sheild. Dust covered the areana, as Naota didn't pull anyface, as he consentrated his might.

"O Lord, Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man, Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! ... Hadou number 33... Soukatsui and Hadou number 4.... Byakurai"

Naota said his speech as he ran through the dust he picked up his speed. The from no where it felt like a lightforce picked him up, as he found himself to the side of Nonko, he didn't know what had happened. But once he showed up a blue ball of spiritual energy covered in the Byakurai kidous lightning came forth towards Nonko. The Soukatsui kidou was more powerful and acurate than the Haien Kidou (as it was said in the text books in the academy)

"Tell me Capt 'n' Smiley... Are you having fun with your new vice-captain?"

He face did not change, as he kept a pokerface through his speech and action. Giving away no sudden moviments. This was his expression wont give out his movements, as he had prodicted that from any slight change in movement he would know where Naota would strick next...

[Nonko Ryuuza]

"Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hakou shichí-jū-san... Sōren Sōkatsui!"

Nonko chanted fast as he fired a stronger kidou into the two coming at him. This would obliterate both Sōkatsui & Byakurai. As he discharged the kidou he disappeared to move away from Naota. As he appeared again his hand aimed at Naota.

"Bakudou kyū....Geki"

A binding spell that should be enough to hold Naota.

An explotion sounded as he saw that Nonko had launched his own kidou. Nonko did the same thing as him, as he saw that Nonkos weakness was to learn new things. As Naota had this distraction at hand, he knew that Nonko would try something, as once the two kidous hit an explotion sounded, dust arose from the ground, as once it hit Naota new it wouldn't be safe out in the open, as Naota flash steped and hid himself into the dust.

All of a sudden, a quick movement in the dust came forth, just after Nonko said his Bakudo spell, but when the dust dispersed infront of his eyes he would see that Naota wasn't there as Noko would think what would be happening, and how Naota out tricked him in just that second...

"Bakudo number 63.... Sajo Sabuka"

Naota said in the dust, as he did ropes would engluf Nonko. Naota had been run around, as he did he had gotten used to his newly refind skill. Once he had launched the rope, straight away another voice was heard but from the other side of the room in just seconds.

"Hadou number 90... Kurohitsugi"

From out of know where a building-sized black box of spiritual energy, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears" would direct to Nonko. But if Nonko was lucky his arm or leg would be injured....

Nonko jumped to avoid the binding spell. He wasn't one to remain in a single spot anyway. However at with his eyes focused on locating Naota he almost missed the formation of the black box.

Shit!

His eye widened as he tried to move out of the way. However his arm did not follow the rest of him. Trapped in the box his left arm was damaged to a point of it being nonoperational. When the box disappeared, the kido done. Nonko looked at his arm just standing there.

"This took me a week to build and 20 minutes to install"

He then grabbed it by the shoulder connections. With a tug on it the arm came completely off. Some wires in it sparked for a moment before he tossed it aside. The only reason he wasn't bleeding was the Shoulder cover that held the arm in place. It kept the blood from spurting out.

"I no longer need that junk."

He then looked at Naota and rised his blade to defend himself. He said nothing as he waited for Naota's next move.

"Since Lumina didn't turn up, she couldn't prove herself worthy... Just myself being her, has also proven my worth..."

He said whilst walking out of the dust, there Naota stood infront of Naota, as he saw Nonko pull off his mechanical arm. Naotas sword was still sheathed, and he hadn't taken it out for a while.

"But tell me when else should i give you to prove my worth?"

He raised his left hand, the one where a jolt of lightning had piereced through. The nerves in his hands were starting to disappear.

"My hand..."

[Nonko Ryuuza]

"I want loyalty. The loyalty that say you will never disobey my orders ever if they go against the laws of the Soul Society & the Gotei 13. Are you willing to do that?"

A faint smile appeared. Nonko was thinking about something. He was predicting possible answers and sense Naota like question he predicted a few of those.

Once he heard Nonkos words, a faint smile also appeared on his face. Bowed his head ever so slightly.

"My loyalty will always stay with you and the Gotie 13. Soul Societys law is also my own, i will treasure it with my life..."

His eyes fixed on the captain, as the eye contact never broke. Naotas left hand was still kept in the air, if Nonko had decided to take up Naotas proposal. If Nonko would tell me to lower it, he would.

[Nonko Ryuuza]

"Kaihou."

A Japanese word meaning 'open' and yet nothing happened. Well at first that is. After a few seconds to a minute. The wall off to the right of Nonko started to split open like two large doors to a hanger. Once open one could see this is where Nonko was hiding The Nova Eye. This little green ball site in a vault hidden in the walls of a testing chamber.

"You know what that is. Its my masterpiece. The only thing that has meaning in this whole research center. How do you think something so small.... is so powerful?"

Nonko's eyes looked over to the light green shining. He sheathed his sword and began digging through his sleeves. Finally he pulled out a thing of green liquid. A kind of syringe with a needle. Nonko took the needle and injected the green liquid into his shoulder. A look of pain came over him as the shoulder cover popped off and within seconds a new arm was there to replace the old one.

"The pain is gone now."

Pulling out another one he tossed it to Naota. No doubt to fix the hole in his hand.

Naota watched these amzement of the green liquid. What such a reward, such life it could duplicate. Once Nonko passed one over to him, he was greatful, he didn't want to insult him. And there he remembered the Nova project, the first big project he stumbled onto when he first reached the lab on his first day... he said that it was his, 'masterpiece' it sure was... And soon this was over he was going to hit the drawing board and make his own items...

"I'm truely grateful"

He said as he punched the sering into his arm. As he did so the whole in his hand started to close, the feelings came back to him from his arm to hand. A slight chuckle and faint smile, as he looked from the sering to his hand.

Truely a genius..."

He said as he bowed his head to his Captain with grattitude.

As Naota bowed. Nonko flash stepped to him and pulled back a punch. The smile was gone, but not cause of anger or anything the like. His voice echoed out as he started to swing.

"Never drop your guard."

If the punch connected. It would hit the back of the head. No doubt causing Naota to slam into the ground face 1st if he didn't move or notice in time.

Typical Nonko was full of suprises, that was one thing that never left his mind. But thats one of his weaknesses, because since he loves to suprise, over the years and such he has suprised so many that many people just expected the next big thing from him. Naota always had an eye on him, even with his slight head bow.

Before anyone could do anything, and Naota dropped the syringe. Noata had said something under his breath.

"Bakudo number 62... Hyapporankan"

Then when Nonko vanished from site. Naota would do the same. He would then see Nonko throw a punch but miss, he would wonder where he was, and how he would of known something like was this was going to happen. The reason is that Nonko is too damm predictable... The Kidou was said, as Noata found himself in the air above and behind Nonko.

A gesture of his hand a rod of spiritual energy would glide towards Nonko. Soon after the rods would mulitply, directing towards Nonko the rods would peirce his robes, and nail him to the ground. This way no blood would be spilt.

"I have already learnt from you not to let my gaurd down... And now thanks for you, i have learnt how to Flash Step, and at such a young age... I can now weild my shikai, and day after day, i feel more stronger. All to the loyalty to you, and the amount of trust and faith! And once i placed that beside you, and my future looks more clearer than ever.... Thank you Captain..."

[Nonko Ryuuza]

"Bakudo 81. Danku."

Nonko turned to looked at Naota as a barrier in the form of a rectangle appeared in front of him. The kidou Naota used impacted on it and was stopped. Nonko smiled as he started to speak.

"You still have a lot to learn. Like remembering...."

he pasued for a second before his voice started again. Only this time it came from behind Naota.

"Who you are fighting."

At 1st thought one would guess it was a puppet, but it's actions and speech pattern sounded to much like the real Nonko. The question is which is in fact the real Nonko. However that would be saved for After Naota deals with the sword swinging to his back.

Naota had found his own Kidou being stopped by Nonkos binding. He heard Nonkos voice before he attacked, one being a mistake, he knew straight away that Nonko was behind him. Once Naota landed on the ground, he would place his palm on the hilt of his Zanpakuto on the hilt. The Zanpakuto still in it's sheath would raise upwards leaning onto his back.

The two swords would clash together, the amount of that attack was so strong that Nonkos Zanpakuto had cut through Naotas sheath, and was presuring upon his back.

"I'll never forget.. But you just need to remember how stubborn i am... But don't take me for a child..."

[Nonko Ryuuza]

Nonko, the real Nonko, looked at Naota from the Barrier. He had that look that said he was gaining information through his eye. Nothing unusual about that. He often went into this kind of trans. When he snapped out of it he looked at Nonko.

"The request of Rank Transfer has been made. You will be my Vice-captain. But This is only till I find someone better. Understand?"
