Tensai turned to Clyde as he basically everyone that his strength died the day Tsukiko, and that his goal to protect his friends now seemed out of his reach. As he listened, Tensai couldn't help but feel furious on how Clyde was acting, so after Jake said what he needed to say, Tensai walked up to Clyde with an intense glare and threw a punch at his face.
"God, your pathetic! The mere fact that you failed to protect Tsukiko should have told you that you need to become stronger so that this never happens again! Think about it, do you honestly think that hollows will magically stop coming to you if you stop fighting? Well that will never happen as long as you're spiritually aware so suck it up and focus everything you have to become stronger. If you don't more of your loved ones will die because you failed to act. So stop feeling sorry for your self and train to become stronger so that you won't have to go through this again!" yelled Tensai after he threw the punch.

Tsukasa listened to the other talk to Clyde. The first boy spoke some good words. The second boy, the shinigami-like one, he spoke in anger like Tsukasa wanted to at first, but hadn't. She looked at them to see the same boy throwing a punch. She was going to stop it, but thought it best to let them try to speak sense to him. They knew him longer then she did. Her eyes looked over to Hasaki. "Well Captain... Doesn't this remind you have the old days? When the new comers saw death for the first time and suddenly had little to no will to fight." She paused to look at her right hand. Thinking to herself about the 11th Division days. |

Ryo would sigh ignoring everything up till now, he would be simply just rubbing his head with is hand seeming to be growing impatient with them. As Kisaki would addresses him speaking of the old days and new recruits he would hand his head some thinking back then.
Slowly raising his head he would look straight up at the fake sky and smirk.
" Back then, we where fighting a enemy of a different nature, but war really never changes NOR does a fight. Anyone with a weapon is a target, a enemy, a combatant. THIS is why you all must become stronger, you all bear weapons and hold arms, these makes a combatant even if you didn't want to fight, even if you where to run, you would be found eventually and killed. That is the grim truth of combat. " he would say at first to just Kisaki then seeming to be speaking to every one on certain points as they went about. Ryo would walk over to Tensai and rest his hand on his shoulder. " thats enough " he would say and crouch down to Clyde.
" She died a fate that you all bear alone and with out trying, if you continue as you are right now, you will end up as she was, if you had continued with out my intervention you would have ended up as she ways, the only path to take is the path to bear your arms in combat with everything you can, to fight for your comrades, that are with or not with you. " he would say glancing to Kisaki hoping that she would remember this well. He would slowly rise dusting his knee's off some and slowly begin to walk away.

The human was pretty surprised to hear Jake suddenly speak up to him. His friend spoke with emotion that came from dealing with a similar scenario, he must have gone through something like this himself. Clyde nodded his head lightly when he talked about their first true training...he remembered saying those words, they had a lot of meaning to him back then and he used it to help motivate Jake as well. Why shouldn't they still mean something now? The human lowered his head in thought over his friends words, that was until Tensai socked him one in the face.
Clyde was completely unprepared for the punch and he went stumbling backward from it before he decided to just let himself fall into a sitting position. He looked up to see the passion in Tensai's eyes, his words were blunt but they were also very true. The dangers of the world were always gonna be around, whether Clyde stopped fighting or not, what good could he accomplish if he just ignored these burdens. People were gonna die on way or another, but at least he could save a few more if he stood and fought instead of running away.
Ryo was the final one to speak to the human, and all the others around him. He told him the simplest of solutions, fight with everything you had for the people you have lost and for the people who still have. By doing nothing Tsukiko's death meant nothing, it was all very true. Where the boy seemed so lost to all of them it seemed so clear and Clyde could not help but smile as he saw just how determined his allies were; how foolish he had been. "You're all right. I couldn't think straight, I was lost in all of this, but it's all so obvious when you guys say it...thank you." He let out a slight sigh of relief, his mind seemed to be calming down now, sorting itself out. "I'll stay strong, for them, and for Tsukiko." He might finally be back into working condition, but he would still need a little time. "I'll be okay now, I promise Tsukasa...just let Tensai and Jake fight first, I'll be ready after that." He said both to Tsukasa and to Ryo with a light nod.

"Then I'm ready whenever," Jake said with a smile as Clyde seemed to come out of his depression, "I haven't had a good fight for a while, so lets get started."
As Jake waited for Tensai an Ryo to get ready, he would untie his wooden sword from his back, and twirl it a bit, before it transformed in a flash of orange light. Once the weapon was in its true form, Jake would stretch his legs, then swing the sword around, practicing all the basic positions for attack and defense.

Well if he doesn't stop acting so pathetic, I will move on without him. After all it will be a major waste of time spending the entire day trying and regain someone's will to fight instead of focusing on training thought Tensai after basically told him not to punch Clyde again. After Clyde thanked Tensai, Ryo and the other students for helping him out of his depression, Tensai said with a cocky smirk "Well, that's what comrades are for and if you ever lose the will to fight again, I'll be happy to give you another knuckle sandwich. Though I should warn you that it will hurt a lot more compared to the one I gave you since I will be a lot stronger than before"
When Clyde told Ryo to let him and Jake fight first, the cocky smirk on Tensai's face was replaced by a more serious expression as he unsheathed his zanpakto. He would then hold it in a balanced two handed guard and said in a cool tone "I was born ready"
God, I wish a cute girl around my age was here to hear me say that.... thought Tensai as a hint of disappointment appeared in his eyes after realizing how cool he sounded.

Ryo would slowly turn towards Jake and Tensai " Your goal, is to take this hat off my head, it symbolizes a killing blow to the head. Feel free to attack me with all intent to kill..." he would say slowly say walking some steps back for distance from them. " I know i will...." he said a demonic sparkle of killing intent in his eyes.
Slowly he would raise his bokken with one hand towards the boys, a slight breeze blowing his overcoat a bit his hat waving some with it, revealing his eyes in the breeze as they seemed to sparkle like blood in the moonlight. " Come at me " he would simply say awaiting the boys to attack. The look and feel of Ryo was completely different from any time his students had seen him up till now, the only person who could even recognize Ryo in this state was Kisaki who had seen this look on Ryo's face during the skirmish in the onigami realm it self, this was the calm look of his face in battle...the calm that turned into a blazing wildfire that scarred a realm and its people.

"I'll start then," Jake said in a seemingly cold tone, as he settled into the mind set that had allowed him to kill people on command. He was not proud of his past as an assassin, but the skills he had retained from those times allowed him to think clearly in a fight, and it also allowed him to fight at his best, because he had no qualms about killing his opponent.
Gripping his sword in both hands, Jake dashed forward, and slashed at Ryo, aiming for his sword arm as opposed to his hat. Mid way through the slash, his sword would begin to glow a fierce orange, as he reiatsu covered the blade, augmenting his attack power.

"Wow, He really does intend to kick our ass. Well this is gonna interesting for sure." Tsukasa looked at Hasaki and smirk as she remembered that look from the past during the war. Something this kids no doubt had never seen. Oh well they'll see it today. She watched as the kid, Jake, made the first move. Not bad, but not good enough. Straight forward attacks aren't gonna be very effective
Kisaki turned to Clyde who seemed to have his head of right now. Not sure how well he'll do though, but she'll give him a shot. "Well kid, any thoughts?" |

Clyde stayed in his sitting position, giving Tensai a thumbs up when the substitute shinigami gave his little warning. He stayed there, watching Jake going right at Ryo and even intending at hindering Ryo's ability to fight by aiming at his arm. However, Clyde knew the attack had little chance of connecting...if the boy could follow it like he was than Ryo say it coming a mile a way. "I've fought against Ryo, but only once when I was far weaker than I am now." The boy scratched the back of his head in thought as he watched the battle begin between the three. "...But it was enough to see just how much stronger he is than us. Going for such open and direct attacks won't do any good." He said to her, showing that he shared the same opinion she had even though she didn't share it with him. The boy was an odd duck for sure, it was much easier for him to understand combat than the emotions surrounding it.
"I know my power well, but we're gonna have to get crafty if we're gonna knock that hat off him when it's our turn." The boy admitted, knowing that his strength alone would not get much done here. Leaning back, he asked, "When you and I fought you got to see a pretty good example of my power...but I got to see only a small bit of what your Shikai's power is. Would you mind explaining it to me in detail?" He asked curiously eying her weapon with some naivety. Depending on what her power was would vastly effect their strategy. "The more compatible our abilities are...they better chance we have."

Perfect. It looks like I'll get to see just how strong Ryo really is. After all, I really haven't seen Ryo fight without holding back thought Tensai after Ryo told them the conditions to win and that he wouldn't hold back.When Jake dashed towards Ryo, Tensai also dashed towards Ryo staying at Jakes's left. When he was close enough, Tensai swung his zanpakto at Ryo's hat in an attempt to knock it off as Jake swung at Ryo's sword arm.
ooc:Sorry for the late post. I had a math test this week and I needed to do good on it since I failed my last one.

Ryo would seem to stand unfaltering before the boys as they charged. Ryo's eyes would be continually focused on the boys even as they began to get within range, as they both swung there blades, Ryo would spin his blade while stepping to the right parrying the strikes while avoiding a follow up, countering there assault Ryo would with one quick precises strike aim to smack Jake's collar bone with a quick smack followed with a spin where his blade would change hands to his other hand and attempt to strike Tensai in the back with a reverse handed stab.
" Focus, just hitting some thing hard doesnt mean its good enough to take down your target. " he would tell them seeming to be quite serious in fighting them but still seeming to have his caring self to not try to really kill them yet.

Jake flinched as Ryo hit him on the collarbone, but quickly gathered his wits as Ryo's sword switched hands to strike at Tensai.
"Brute force may not always be enough," Jake said as Ryo was stabbing at Tensai's back, "but more often than not, it does something of value, even if its not what was intended."
As his words left his mouth, Jake would stab at the air successively as fast as he could, making 5 jabs, each of which left a spike of orange reiatsu in the air. As he finished the fifth stab, all 5 of the spikes would launch through the air toward Ryo. Having no illusions that he would succeed, Jake dashed after the spikes, his blade glowing fiercely, as he jabbed at the air, before slashing 3 times, sending 3 crescent shaped blasts to follow up his barrage of spikes. As the claws started to move after the spikes, Jake would shout out ,"Piercing Claw!"
