"I feel like I got hit in the head with a brick..." He gagged as she helped back onto his feet, "I'm never doing that again." He promised with a elongated sigh. He noticed that she began heading back towards the exit but after a few seconds he placed his feet down to stop her suddenly. "No, it's okay, I'd rather rest down here...the reiatsu here has a calming effect on those who expose themselves to it. It'll help me get better faster." He explained, motioning the two to simply sit down instead.
"Autumn, thanks for getting me here from last night, I must have been a complete fool." He thanked and apologized within the same sentence, lowering his head in embarrassment. "I hope I wasn't too annoying. So what do you think of the underground training area? To be honest I didn't think you'd come down here, but no worries." He said to the spirit, showing that he was not mad at her for finding the underground realm that seemed to exist under the small manga shop. He wondered what she was doing down there, however,

Autumn nods in agreement with him, moving him a bit to sit down. She makes sure to be careful since his head must be throbbing, "I'd be fine if you didn't drink again. I was worried that Arrancar would start messing with you. I wasn't annoyed too much, so don't worry about it." She smiles a little bit then thinks to his mention of the area.
She looks around a bit, "I'm still trying to understand why it's here... and how." She spoke calmly, there was only curiosity in her voice. She seemed to be calmer than he may have ever seen her, but her worry over his health was still apparent.

He let out a sigh of relief as they took a seat in the wasteland like area. His head was still pounding, but at least he could take a moment to enjoy the air in this area. Its calming effect made him feel a lot better already. His eyes turned to her and he smiled as she agreed with his sentiments of avoiding drinking again. "I don't really remember what happened...there was an arrancar there? Did we fight him?" He scratched the top of his head, trying to remember, "This reminds me of when I first woke up in karakura town, I didn't remember anything. It felt even worse back then, but I'll make sure to avoid those drinks in the future, I hate that feeling." He admitted to her casually as the two sat there.
"It's a pretty nice place, huh?" He said enthusiastic about her interest in the "realm." "To tell you the truth I have no idea how it was made, except that an ex-shinigami by the name of Hasaki Ryo made it before he...disappeared. He made it so that special humans like myself and his allies could train in peace without worrying about effecting the world of living or accidentally drawing the attention of hollow, by having it as its own realm, the only way in is the steps meaning only we can get here. It is both connected to the world of the living and separate...time flows like it does out there, but it is always day here somehow." He explained as best as he could.
"I love it down here, its relaxing, quiet...a place of solitude. All it needs is a little greenery and it would be perfect. Maybe one day I'll put some in." He admitted with a light laugh, before groaning at the pain in his head.

Autumn listens to him explain why this place was here, her gaze looking out on the land. The name Hasaki Ryo rang some distant bell, but she wasn't sure why. She only briefly mentions the the last night, "No, we did not fight him. But I believe you may have irritated him." She then thinks over the rest of his words. The ones meant to slide through, unnoticed. Mentioned, perhaps, because he felt he must say it, but may not want to think about.
"You have lost your memory before?" The thoughts of where they were and the implications of it's existence didn't matter right now. She couldn't read his feelings right off, but if she sensed uneasiness she would drop the matter. She had never lost her memory, she just didn't have a good one. Some things stuck, no matter how much she wished they'd fade, but there seemed to be holes in it. She couldn't say how much time was spent in her towers, the prisons, watching over prisoners and hollows she didn't care to know. If anything she had thought them nuisances, intruders, breaking her solitude and the silence she thought she longed for.
But to just wake up somewhere with no memory at all? She wasn't sure if that'd be welcome now or not. But who knows where she could wake up? A cell? Hueco Mundo? She internally shakes her head, her eyes slowly making their way to Clyde again. His eyes seemed tired still, and even sad, remembering loss of some sort.

"Oh...uh, I suppose that's good then. I can't imagine I would have been very effective the way I was anyway." Clyde decided about their encounter with an arrancar, rubbing the back of his head. If he didn't have to fight them he wouldn't, he already decided that, so if it was avoidable situation he was fine with not fighting the arrancar.
As Autumn looked into the boys eyes she seemed to catch his attention, causing him to stare back for only a moment before looking away as she asked about his amnesia. "Uh...Y-yes." He stuttered out somewhat, for some reason he felt embarrassed by the question. It wasn't that he was afraid to talk about it, but he did not like to dwell on it either. He had learned to live in the present, and thinking about things that may or may not exist just...bothered him. "One year ago I awoke within the park of this city with not a single memory, I didn't even have a name. I don't know who I was or what I was doing before then..." He admitted as he closed his tired eyes for a moment, "It's why I refereed to myself as an enigma the first time we met as well as why I never had a purpose. I just traveled aimlessly until I was found by Hasaki." He opened them again and sighed. Things like the arrancar invading had really taken him away from his original goal of reclaiming his memories. One could also infer that his amnesia was a cause of his naivety.

Autumn looks him in the eyes as long as he holds her gaze. For some reason she thought it was strange that he was unable to hold her gaze for very long. He never had. His voice faltered a bit and she turns her head toward him a bit more. His wariness in speaking about it intrigued her a bit, nobody had taken the time to really talk to her, so she didn't know if there was anything in her past that would make her behave the same way.
Her eyes were narrowed, but it was because she was focused on what he was saying. She reaches a hand up to her face and brushes some hair from her eyes, "You had a blank slate? How did you get your name then?" She turns her body a little bit to face him a bit more, watching him a little to make sure he didn't fall asleep or fall to the side. His story in ways so similar to her own, except she was still wandering with near no purpose, "Have you recovered any memories? Met anyone who knew the old you?' If he wanted to stop talking about it she'd quit pushing. She was really curious, never had she cared about another person's story. Actually, she had never taken the time to help anyone out or taken the time to talk to anyone really. She locked herself and her mind away and now she was so far away from where she started with no clear understanding of why.

"A blank slate? I...I guess I did." He briefly raised his eyes towards her again, but as they made eye contact he again seemed incapable of holding it. "Besides the basics of speaking, thinking, and breathing...everything else was gone. I've developed a bit more since then but its still difficult to understand things like emotions I feel when I have no memories to compare them to." It was an odd thing to say, but it was the truth to him. While he did display plenty of emotion, he himself did not get it most of the time even if he could not control it. Only recently had he begun to understand the basic forms of emotion.
Clyde kept his eyes down even as she turned to face him. When she asked him about his name he thought, pausing for some time. How did he get his name? It was a simple question, and he supposed the answer was just as simple but a part of him felt like that was not completely it. "I-I, well, I kind of just gave it to myself. It sounded familiar to me and I needed something to be called by, so I chose it. It is a name without meaning." He felt embarrassed again as she moved her hair from her eyes, giving him her complete attention. "I tried for a long time to find some sort of answer but never came close, and my recent battles have pulled my attention very far from looking. My battles with the arrancar have led it almost impossible to try anymore. To tell you the truth, I don't even know if I should find out. Maybe I'm not supposed to or something." It was...different talking about this with Autumn. He usually never talked about himself and his problems, he preferred to help others and not himself.

Autumn nods as she listens to him. His position had similarities with her own, like a twisted mirror creating two images. She listened to him, speaking up when he mentions being pulled away from his goals, "Perhaps you should place your own goals above the goals you carry out for you lost friend. It may be hard. But think back on your memory of her, is she the the type who would want to live vicariously through you? Or would she rather watch you live and grow on your own, pursuing your memories and the answers to your questions?"
When he finished she reaches out to him, putting a finger under his chin, she lifts his head up a bit to look into his eyes. She looks at him for just a few moments before speaking again, "Why do you not look at me? You've never held my gaze." She keeps her fingers under his chin, not allowing him to look away with ease. She wanted to understand why he did it.

"I just can't do that, it's not that easy." he was quick to respond when she offered her recommendation for his goals. He had no hesitation in his voice as he was certain this was what he should be currently doing. "If I stopped now, a lot of people could die. Not just humans, but a lot of my friends and allies are at risk with both the shinigami and arrancar invading the human world. If I can get the arrancar to retreat back to Heuco Mundo then...maybe I'll continue with my own goals. Until then, I need to make sure my friends are safe to follow their own goals and purposes, like you Autumn."
When he finished his sentence, his chin was lifted by Autumn so that the two were looking directly into each others eyes. This caught the Clyde completely off guard. They held the stare for a few moments, neither saying anything. It was perhaps the first gaze the two held, but Clyde seemed hesitant as a result. She questioned him as to why he could not look into her eyes for long, that he never seemed to be able to. Reflexively, he tried to avert his eyes once more, but she made sure to keep the gaze until she got an answer. "It's...I...I don't know..." He seemed to be having difficulty answering, his face flushed red in his embarrassment.

Autumn narrows her eyes a little before letting go of his chin and looking away from him, back at the realm around them. She seemed miffed. Her jaw tightens a little as she speaks, "There must be a reason. I believe the eyes hold many emotions and many truths. But yours... I cannot read. There's only been one other human that's admitted to seeing me. And she was seven last I saw her... She never understood that I'm a spirit and yet she never broke my gaze. She had the sweetest smile and the saddest eyes if you knew how to look."
She rests her elbows on her knees and her tone is sorrowful, as if remembering someone dear while also feeling a bit down. She shifts away a bit. It had been strange, bonding with someone who was so much older than the little girl who would believe anything as long as you kept your promises. That little girl had so much innocence and unfounded strength. She saw several things that Clyde had in common with that child- that is, where Clyde and Autumn differed- Clyde took many attributes from the small child.
She seems worried at this point. She hadn't told the child when she would be back, and it had been so long already, "I too wish to save people... More like two people. And you're one of them."

When Autumn broke their gaze and released his chin Clyde darted his eyes towards the dirt below where he sat, his face still radiating the red, flustered color. He had irritated her, both by not giving an answer, and because she could not find her answer in his eyes. Autumn than spoke of another like Clyde, apparently a young girl the spirit had met a few years ago, who was very similar to Clyde. "The way you speak of her...she must be very special to you. Have you vowed to protect her as well?" The difference between the two, according to Autumn, was that Autumn could feel the emotions and feelings from this child's eyes, while she could not from the boys and that the child would always hold her gaze while Clyde did not.
"I-I'm sorry..." He quietly answered while he kept his eyes down, "I don't understand it myself...but when our eyes meet, I find it hard to stay focused, I feel anxious." He tried to explain, meekly raising his back up towards her as if he felt bad. He thought it must be insulting to her to not be able to hold her gaze and that was not his intent so he attempted another apology. "I don't want to insult you or to think that it is your appearance because it's not. Y-you're very beautiful." He sighed out in his embarrassment, lowering his eyes again.

Autumn regretted not seeing the young girl. It had been nearly a year and Autumn was only recently beginning to feel her paranoia ebb. She had left the girl in order to keep her safe from possibly being found, but it was also a passing thought that she hadn't returned to her because she was afraid the girl would have grown up and forgotten her. There was no real reason to it or understanding she could get as to the reason she felt close to the girl. She takes in a slow breath, "Yes.... I did swear to protect her, even if I didn't tell her specifically. That's also the reason it's been near a year since I've seen her."
She shakes her head a bit, "Anxious? Have I done something to cause this?" She looks back to him only to see him already looking away from her again, "It's not insulting as it is irritating. I don't talk to people much and when I do...I have certain expectations..." She looks down a bit, suddenly reminded of captain's meeting from so long ago. When someone spoke there was always eye contact. Even if you weren't the one being talked to you still looked them in the eyes. All the rules, all the manners and shows of respect. It had been ground into her more than she may have thought, until now.

"No!" His head perked up in surprise when she asked if she had done something cause this, clearing adamant about denying what she thought. He paused, cleared his thread nervously as if to correct himself and calm down and said, "Er, I mean...no you haven't done anything to cause my feeling." He thought about it for a moment, as Autumn looked towards the ground.
"I think it's me...I'm not used to being this close with someone before, to understand them like I do for you." It was true he had other friends that he cared for and would protect, but Autumn was different than them to him. It wasn't just her reiatsu or what she was, there was just a connection that let the two understand one another. "You're just...becoming someone special to me I guess." The flustered hue on his face still remained, but he tried to bring his eyes back to hers.
"How can you protect this girl by being away from her?" He questioned curiously, still trying to compose himself. He began to think about how she phrased her words, there was something odd about how she said it. Hesitantly, he asked her, "You don't believe...that you're a threat to her, do you?"

Autumn nods a little bit, listening to him. Other than that little girl nobody else had ever cared whether or not she came back or not. Clyde saying he felt close to her and that she was special to him. It was strange to her the feel that someone was close to her and important. Until she came to Karakura she had no connections to anyone and came here just because she had to keep moving somehow. Fi was the first one to ask her to come back. Her purpose for coming back here had changed since then, she came back to check on the girl, but her kind being wiped out had put fear into Autumn.
"I haven't seen her in a year because I had to be sure I wasn't followed or hunted. And I guess... Part of me is afraid she's forgotten me. Or doesn't need me anymore or is mad I left. I'm afraid to face a 7 year old..." she almost laughs at the end. She looks to her feet, digging a sandal into the dirt a bit, "If she will let me.. If she accepts me back... I want to have you meet her. I want to show you what else I will fight for, to protect."
She looks up at him a little bit, wondering what he would say to meeting a small child.

Clyde gave a bright smile to Autumn, listening intently to her words about this young girl she knew. It made him happy to hear that she cared for another, and that she seemed happy that she had become someone special to Clyde as well. Placing a hand on her shoulder reassurance, he gave a simple nod towards her request, saying “I am sure she will accept your return, she probably misses you very much. I would be happy to meet with her, to see what you wish to protect. If she is important to you, then I will protect her as well.” He made his promise with confidence, but his face was still shyly looking at her. He sounded confident but was still very much flustered.
“Autumn…?” He asked quietly after a moment. He looked around the area they sat in, examining its beauty once again. It was silent, protective from the outside, and allowed the two to just relax in peace. There would never be a better place in Karakura for them. “I know you don’t really…have a home. So I was thinking just now, that possibly you could stay here...maybe?” He offered to her, raising his gaze towards the scenery. “There are plenty of rooms in the back of the store to sleep in, and it would be easier for us to find each other, and...yeah.” It would be a bit embarrassing as he continued to explain, this boy was just a silly person it would seem. "This place could be a home to you like it is to me."

Autumn nods in thanks as he says that he will protect Fi with her. Her mind felt a bit more at ease as he gave her a few more looks, trying to make more eyecontact with her. She was just about to ask how his head was feeling when Clyde started to stumble and stop while trying to ask her something, or offer her something. She wasn't sure which at first.
He asked her if she wanted to live at the Manga Shop with him since there was room. Her brows furrow a bit, "I want you to be sure of what you are saying, before you offer me this." Clyde knew her best of all, and for some reason she could only think he made some mistake offering her a home.

Clyde lowered his head once more towards the spirit away from the scenery, she did not say no to his suggestion, but she wanted the boy to think about what he was asking. He knew that Autumn could be hunted by other shinigami, but the boy planned on helping her if they tried such a thing anyway. He was not afraid of any dangers that might result in her staying here in the manga shop as he himself fought dangers almost every day.
"I know what I'm saying," He said happily with a nod of his noggin. "I already understand that there are risks and possible dangers, but I wouldn't be alive today if I did not take on these kind of risks head on." He seemed sure of his decision, he knew she did not have a home and he worried about her as a result. If she was here, then at least she had a roof over her head and it would be easier for the two to check up on one another, the boy wanted her to be here.
"That's why I think you should meet with this girl," He brought up once again, "We both need to be willing to take risks and while it may be a risk to meet with Fi, I think it would be for the best that you do."

Autumn looks up to him and smiles a little bit as he adamantly said that she could stay here. She bows her head down and begins to speak quietly, meaning every word she says, "Thank you. Thank you for trusting me... I will do everything in my power not to betray that trust."
Clyde brought up Fi again and Autumn closes her eyes in quiet dread. She couldn't imagine the reunion going well. She felt like she had abandoned Fi and deserved to burn for it, "If you think that's wise..." She says this quietly as well.

"And I will do the same, Autumn." He promised with determination in his voice. It was not a promise he made lightly, his voice carried it with such weight that it sounded as if it was impossible not to carry out the promise, that the promise was a fact that had to happen. As he sat there with Autumn he let out a painless sigh, he felt like the hang over from the sake was finally leaving him.
Clyde stood up suddenly, looking at her with a confident grin. Lowering his hand to help her up, he spoke "It has nothing to do with doing what's wise. It's about doing what's right." He said simply with his peaceful, closed eyed, grin. "She means a lot to you, and that means the right thing to do would be to meet with her once again."
