Meditation is nothing more than shutting your mouth and thinking for a bit," Drystan said scratching his head as he thought about how to answer, "it might help a bit, but you'll have to do more than just meditate."
Drystan scratched his chin as he thought, lamenting his lack of facial hair. Meditating on it would certainly help Clyde explore what he knew abut his power, but that wouldn't help him gain complete control. He also needed to experiment.
"I agree that there is much more to your power than simple Alchemy," Drystan said looking up at the ceiling, "and that's another reason I accepted Jake's request to come help you...your power is an oddity. It turns anything into raw energy, and with raw energy you can do almost anything....almost. The key to mastering your power, is to find out the exact limit of what it can do. Experiment with manipulating the energy you created with your power, and push your limits until you feel you can't push any further."

"That's the thing, Drystan...." He immediately answered the alchemist, raising to his feet. "I have hit that limit. My body has advanced far enough to handle anything my power could give, what I had lacked was the knowledge to use. That moment at the end of my battle with the espada...that was the moment I reached the limit of this power." He understood the advice Drystan was giving him, and it was good advice, but he knew that wasn't going to work. Perhaps had he more time, he could force out more power through excessive training of his body and power, but not with the time he had.
"Maybe it's more accurate to say that, I've reached the limit of this stage of my power. But what is preventing me from pushing any further is a mental block. Something in my own mind preventing me from discovering the full capabilities of Hou-Renkinjitsu. A lack of understanding." He tried to reason it, both to himself and Drystan. With steady movement he began walking to the edge of the building, looking out from a window towards the skyline. "If I want to progress any further I can't keep reaching outward for power. It's as you have shown yourself, power is one thing but it is the knowledge to use it that is key; now I need to look inward and truly understand the knowledge I have acquired.
"Now, I just need to figure out how..." He lowered his gaze from the window and turned himself backward to face Drystan once more.

"Its still as I said," Drystan said patting Clyde on the shoulder, "the only way to change anything is to experiment and go with what works."
Drystan leaned against a wall used Alchemy to make an hole in it. "My Alchemy is developed for instantaneous reactions," Drystan said with purpose, "which means I have to know what I'm doing before I do it. In making the demands of my Alchemical style so mentally exerting, I became able to think faster. That's the nature of my power, it demands that I think faster than it can act. Your power requires less thought, it acts on your whims, doing as you will with very little input from you. Whats more, the name of your power...Hou-Renkinjutsu...it literally translate as 'Phoenix Alchemy' denoting a sort of resurrection, which is also reflected in your power. It returns matter to its original state of manipulate-able energy, which you can create with. Your power burns things, then has them reborn from their ashes."

He thought on it a moment then approached the alchemist, patting the man on the shoulder. "Then I'll do just that." Walking to the center of the room, he sat himself down cross-legged. He took in the air of the area, feeling the reiatsu that lingered from their training. He lowered his head, and spoke once more.
"I know I've been asking for a lot from you, and I'm grateful for everything you've done for me. I ask only for one more favor. Watch over my body while I do this...I'm not sure what's gonna happen and I need someone to make sure nothing goes wrong." He paused, "Drystan, will you do this for me?"
Sitting in his position, he prepared to delve deep into his power and mind, farther than he had ever tried before. The boy did not know what to expect, or if he would even survive the experience, but he needed to try. At this point, he knew at least that for sure.

"Think nothing of it," Drystan said with a lazy smile as he sat down near a wall, "like I said before...even if I wasn't so nice, and Jake wasn't involved, I'd still help you. Alchemy is my life, and in the wrong hand's it's dangerous...I want to see for myself where it will take you."
And so Drystan sat there, waiting for whatever might happen, and preparing to intervene if need be.
