Name: Hendai Fuuma
Alias: Lightning Strike, The Shinobi, Ninja of the Sun.
Age: Actual age - 449. Apparent age - 25-30
Gender: Male
Faction: Shinigami, 2nd division
Rank: 2nd seat/Liuetenant.
PvP Availability: Yes
Description:
Reiatsu Color: Amethyst/Purple.
Personality:
Hendai had always been a target of respect by his pupils, an icon of hate for women and the envy of all men. Though he may be old enough and wise, the man's a born predator. While some find use of their skills in contract assassination, Hendai had always gone around with little care for that. There were times when he followed the flow, but for most part of his life, he tried living a peaceful sheltered existence, only ever emerging for supplies and the occasional peek at the womens bath. He is also, a hypocrite. At times, he defends the honor of women, and then after a corner, prey's on them himself. He has no moral code, but does show respect to superiors and colleagues. Unless they are women. Yes, no matter the topic with him, it all returns the natural beauty that he so admires. In his own way of course
But its not always about peeping. If it were, he would've died a virgin. He has a slippery tongue and the mind-set of a flirt. He takes pride in his ability to sway a womans heart, but thats as far as it goes. He fears relationships and prefers to keep away from them in order to dodge commitment which may damage his dangerous way of life. That thinking carried with him into the after-life, and now that he is a shinigami, he follows the same guideline.
He has a relatively short temper and can hold a grudge for quite a while. Some of his have even transferred to his present state of living. Though sometimes the situation doesn't allow it, Hendai will on occasion act outside the moral code. Other than that, he knows when to act according to his nature. In battle, Hendai likes to play around with his opponent. Unless they prove themselves to be over his level. But even then he managed to show a playfulness that doesn't belong on the fighting ground. When facing against the opposite sex, he never shows a sign of seriousness. It could be because in his day, women weren't fighters. Wenches, as he liked to call them. They never belonged in fights, so he sees no need to go all out against them. Even one who has claimed a captain-seat.

History:
Hinda was born into a family of nobles, and lived a very rich life. But he felt no fulfillment. Each day was all scripted out for him. How he was to act. How he was to eat. And when he was to sleep and wake. He was a rebel at heart, and could not lead such a life long. At first, he bore the name Hinda Rosemary. But in his early teen years, it all changed. He had left the family he had so hated before the day of his 14th birthday.
A child like him could not travel long, so eventually he came upon a Buddhist temple where he was accepted to follow the teachings of the enlightened. He was young, and quite submissive, but what he seeked, was simply not in these parts of the land. His quest for enlightenment had failed so he was forced to leave out of self-loathe.
By now, he was 16 and still a fool. His travels brought him to a stop when he came upon a small group of bandits. These men taught him of stealth and theft and basic truths of the rogues. All was well. They stole from the greedy and contributed to their own families. But it all came to an abrupt end when he was faced with their true nature. Before his very eyes, they killed innocent children of the nobles. He could not stand to watch nor listen to their reasoning, so he took justice to his own hands and went against the very men that taught him. He managed to take out a good portion before having to flee into the forest.
The pursuit lasted many hours, till he fell and drowned in a river from exhaustion. He was later found by the daughter of a clan of shinobi. While these men weren't all that honest themselves, they served nobles at the time, so if he wished to live among them, he would have to suck it up. Why? Because The Fuuma clan was well known far and wide for their skill and technique. He knew he had no way of attaining nirvana, what else was left to this former noble than to attain skills that could lead him to survival in this harsh world?
Alas, that didn't last long. Sure, he learned a few good pointers and an extra martial art, but his life extinguished on a simple assassination mission. Well, maybe not as much as assassination as it was plain murder. The target was a young heir of a thriving clan. A beautiful princess. Apparently, they had chosen the wrong man for the job. That compassion was what ended his life, but at least he could die knowing he hadn't commited such an atrocity.
For the following years, what may have seemed like 10 or 20 but in reality a few hundred, he lived in the outskirts of Soul Society. It was a pleasant life. One he enjoyed, but when an unfortunate attack of a rouge arrancar threatened his life, he decided it was time to put his skills on sale. He enrolled into the academy, easily exceeding others in his class and in no time achieving his shikai. Obviously, he used it to get into quite the few troubles and nearly got arrested a few times, but when it was time to graduate he had no other choice but to start his shinigami duties. To be honest, he had no real interest in meetings nor team-play. He was a lone-wolf who only answered to his captain. That fact remains till this day.
The years had passed quick, and each day was filled with either training or a mission. At first, he was given easy tasks. Some even degrading. But that was probably just his captains way of testing the recruits capabilities. And for about 10 years, he had done all sorts of menial labor tasks without a single peep. It was his job to carry out orders, and he would do it with pride.
Following his first years in active service, he had achieved his shikai through rigorous training of which all thanks went to Hendai's Taichou. He had accomodated pretty quick to his new abilities and in no time, began taking quests of much greater difficulty. Trips to earth weren't common, and at times he would even stay for extended periods.
And as many in this afterlife, he had also found a lover. She was a kind woman with the most gentle smile you would ever witness. Their relationship had progressed pretty well along the years, and soon came time to make their relationship official. And they would have even succeeded in it if it weren't for the hectic times.
When the Onigami rose to rebel, Hendai had taken a firm stand on the side which he belived was right. Unfortunately, his fiance prefered the other side of the coin. The two shared a home, and when the young shinigami had returned home for a brief moment, he discovered the rebels hiding in their house. His girlfriend had no problem admitting the truth, and even though their views had taken separate path's, Hendai still fought to win her over with 'justice'. Because of his horrible pride, he took the small group in hiding on by himself. Things got bad, and at the heat of the battle, his love was wounded. Her death was slow and a painful one. And no matter how fast the shinigami was, he couldn't get to the medics in time. She had died in his arms.
From that day forth, he devoted his life to tracking down every last one of them. Half of it was from sense of duty, the other, homicidal rage. He blamed the Onigami for his loss, and would not rest for the following years as the battles progressed. His sessions got more intense with each day. Heck, he had even trained his body to withstand 20 hour trips to the training halls. All of this eventually payed off by the exposure of his bankai that saw the first light of day on the last battlefield against the Onigami. The ''Battle of Crossing.'' Much hell was shown to the enemy on that day, but still both sides suffered losses no matter what sort of talented individuals aided on each side.
When the Non-agression act was signed Hendai had still great hatred for the Onigami, and it would not calm anytime soon. Once everything had settled down his actions did not go unnoticed. He was given the chance to prove himself and in no time, was give nthe rank of Lieutenant of the 2nd Division.

Name: Kinkaku-Ji
Description:
By personality, Kinkaku-Ji is a very arrogant spirit and when speaking to Hendai, he rarely admits that the pervert ninja is his wielder. Though he may not admit it, he does help from time to time. Its not uncommon for him to reply in riddles, just to annoy. He has great pride, so it is difficult for him to bring himself to accept the fact that such a lowly shinobi dares use him.
-Sealed:
In its sealed appearance Kinkaku-Ji resembles a guard-less sword sheathed into a skin that resembles the hilts color pattern.
www.trueswords.com/images/prod/c/custom_ninja_sword_sm_540.jpg
Hendai wears it on his back, and from time to time uses it as a cane.
-Shikai:
Hendai uses a Kusarigama, chained to a hilt with a golden ribbon wrapped around it The chain itself is 3 meters in length. The blade is shaped in an arc like a miniature scythe. There's no real difference from an ordinary weapon of its sort. It can be manipulated with the help of the talismans like any other inanimate object. But the sickle is just a cover. The real power lies in a small leather pouch strapped to his hip on his belt. Inside it, lie ordinary pieces of paper, that become ''enchanted'' with an effect as soon as Hendai picks one up. It is for him to decide what effect it wields, seeing as he fuses it with his reiatsu.
-Bankai:
The bankai takes on the form of a golden shrine. When released, it materializes behind Hendai in a two story temple, with four stone guardians places on the sides of the steps, each representing a powerful spiritual entity. Its covered in a thin layer of gold, living up to its own name as the ''Golden Pavilion temple''.
The four statues each represent a deity in the teachings of Buddha. The first is a fierce looking man wearing a chest plate over flowing robes. A notable feature for this figure is his swirling halo of fire. He also wields an umbrella to execute wind based attacks.
www.ackland.org/art/exhibitions/b....Bishamonten.jpg
The second statue is Jikokuten, a statue that holds great resemblance to the first, with the only differences being a larger ring of fire that swirls behind him for mystical purposes, a sword and a lute in the other hand.
farm1.static.flickr.com/24/94916167_75c47f4958.jpg?v=0
The third is Komokuten. This fellow shows no signs of battle purpose and the only threatening part about him is the umbrella with a sharp tip at the end, which may be improvised as a weapon. He appears as an elderly bald man in ceremonial garments, common to Buddhistic rituals.
www.onmarkproductions.com/assets/....-dictionary.jpg
The final figure is called Zochoten. He wields a halberd, and much like the previous three, is seen as a mature warrior in thick full-body armor. If you compare the four, you will find little difference in their facial structure, as they have all been depicted as of the same lineage. Its mostly the same disgruntled face repeating itself on each of them.
There is one more deity. While the four are the guardians of the universe, the final is the lord who rules above all other deities. He is called Indra. He appears to be non-lethal and lacks any or all armor. Instead, he is decorated in ceremonial jewelery and short-cut pants. He doesn't wield any weapon and only uses his body to attack, utilizing various fighting styles and the power of the talismans.
Spirit Description:
The avatar takes shape of a bald man, wrapped in a thick layer of golden robe. By appearance, he seems to be in his forties. For most of the time, he shows himself in a seated position, a cup of tea cradled in his hands to add to the calm nature of the spirit.
Attacks:
----Shikai:
Isolation: This involves the user placing an isolation talisman in four spots and then activating the ability, creating a space which is isolated from everything outside. This barrier is a light purple, but still able to be seen through. It is essentially like the barrier in the battle of Sarutobi vs Orochimaru in Naruto. This barrier is fairly weak and can be slashed through, but from the inside only. To keep the barrier up, the user must channel reiatsu constantly, essentially fueling the talismans. If this is the case, the barrier will regenerate as fast as the damage is done unless it's something like a cero or a slash from a Seele Schieder.
Growth: This talisman is stuck onto an object or piece of plant life. Animals aren't effected. This talisman then makes it grow in some manner or another, for example, making a tree giant or making a sword extend.
Animation: This cannot be used on animals, plantlife or remains etc. It is placed on an object and then used to make the object move at the users bidding. For example, a chain could come to life and move according to Hendai's will. To dispel this effect, the talisman must be destroyed. The talisman is stuck onto the object, so it normally ends up in sight. The user only has 4 talismans like this allowing 4different animations at once, however, when one is destroyed, it regenerates inside the talisman pouch.
Explosives: This is essentially making something explode by placing a tag on this. There are 3 types of this talisman. Instant, where the talisman explodes as soon as it contacts something after leaving the user's hand, Remote where it is placed on an object and then activated via the seal of the great Thunderbolt hand posture from the Kuji-In, and finally delay timed ones, which explode after a condition is met. The condition must be something similar to "This talisman will explode after this object contacts something 3 times".
Reconstruction: This allows the user to essentially reform something. For example, if we go back to the animated tree example. If it got damaged, then the reconstruction talisman could be used to reform the parts that were damaged. For this to work, it would require at least 2/3s of the remains of the area and enough material around it to make up the other 1/3 by converting it to the relevant material. So this wouldn't work against something that disintegrates the target like a cero.
Degeneration: This essentially allows the user to degenerate certain things. In shikai, it is fairly useless, as it can only be used on clothing. Essentially, the clothing would turn to dust when the talisman contacts. This talisman's markings can be transferred onto the users hand, to allow it to be used on touch of his hand for one use per time it's done rather than when the talisman contacts it.
----Bankai:
1st Stage:
The first stage of this bankai only releases a light yellow fog that encompasses the entire 30m diameter area, to act as a cover for Hendai. Secondly, his shikai talismans activate from touch. But they remain on the same power levels as they were in the shikai stage. It is then, when the shrine appears. But it holds no significance at the time.
2nd stage:
Before allowing the second stage to activate, Hendai must first touch each of the four statues to bring them to life, using the animation talismans power. When all four are awake, the power of the talismans is nulled, leaving him with only these four as guardians. The fog though remains, with the shrine.
------------------
Bishamonten- The umbrella he wields acts as the medium for his wind powers. By spinning the tool he can create wind tunnels that push back the opponent and any physical projectile. When it is closed, he uses it as a spear to stab at the enemy, forming a strong wind that also pushes the enemy back, making it seem like the opponent was hit by a very strong bala.
Jikokuten- This is a support statue that serves its brothers by playing tunes on the lute. These tunes buffer the others according to their ability, doubling the effect in power. For example: It would double the explosive power of Bishamontens spears; (Or) Decreases the amount of time it takes to use ''The Divine Shield''.
Zochoten- This is the main firepower behind the bankai. When the statue swings its halbread, it creates an arc of destructive light which is equal in power to that of a cero. It can fire up to three times at once, but it will then need time to re-charge. That takes between 2-4 posts. He can also sacrifice all three hits for one single devastating attack,.
Komokuten - He is, Hendai's Sharingan, to put it lightly. This figure serves to protect its user by intercepting attacks. While it doesn't have a 100% success rate, it defends him from most of the enemies attacks. Failing only when matched with someone beyond Hendai's skill or great brute force.
After every 4 posts, Komokuten is able to cast ''The Divine Shield''. A defensive technique that is capable of protecting the user from anything the foe could throw at it. Its a last resort technique which works great in the deadliest of times.
Third stage:
The final secret of the Golden temple is revealed, when in a ritualistic manner, the four statues enter the temple and each touch the form of Indra to transfer their life force to awaken the warrior. Indra is the closest to human size, standing at 2 meters and wiedling a wide array of physical moves.
Accompanied by the statue, are the five Imperial Talismans. Which are an upgraded version of the previous shikai form. These allow the caster to 'enchant' in the similar manner, but without the trace of the small pieces of paper themselves. All they leave, on contact from the palm of the user are a kanji symbol, representing their effect.
Their physical form is shown by tattoos that appear on Hendai's arms.
Indra gains Zochotens primary power to create the same sort of arcs, for his offensive ability, along with his considerably powerful martial arts skill and speed.
The upgrades are as followed:
Isolation- The isolation shield spreads out on a 100m diameter, the center point being the shrine. It blocks all entry and exit and can only be pierced through by a significant force. Such as an Espada's cero or something of similar force. Or you could always just kill or knock-out Hendai for it to dissipate.
Growth - It is replaced by buffing up the target to be able to withstand physical attacks. It also adds a good amount of strength and agility. Instead of making the target grow, it compresses the size into attributes. It is most commonly used to upgrade Indra's already existing physical power. It can also heal a wounded target by offering stamina and durability. A side-effect which strains the body, but allows the target to survive long enough to receive proper aid.
Explosive - There is no real difference in the requirements for the technique in its upgraded form, just the explosive force that is now three times the original.
Reconstruction- The requirements are dropped to 1/3 or just a little under it to perform the full reconstruction of the destroyed target. In this form, it also works on living tissue, but the fact that it needs material to reconstruct still remains.
Degeneration- The execution remains. The target needs to be touched in order to begin the process. As the previous talisman effects, even this one shows signs of improvement. For one, it is capable of deconstructing complicated elements and minerals on touch. It can even destroy a zan, but only after two touches, and each has to last over 5 seconds. (Basically, 1-2 posts)
The final ability of the second stage is called ''Divine Purge''. It requires Hendai to, ritualistically kill Indra via the Kusarigama's ''Holy blade''. This activates a powerful force that rains down from the sky to strike at everyone in range. The energy strike doesn't necessarily kill, but it does burn and cut till the length that it could knock someone out from the pain.
